A Single Mother's Farm of the Gods-Chapter 555: The Awakening of Leviathan [III]
The tremors has been increasing in intensity the longer time pass by. Waves in the ocean has been violent lately that even the sailors who usually brave the wild seas during stormy days, never dared to even sail their ships and boats in fear that they might be drowned in the process. With how unpredictable the waves has become, they wouldn’t risk sailing.
On the other hand, magicians are currently setting up barriers all over the beaches of Darcero Kingdom to ensure that the big waves are blocked, avoiding the process of flooding the towns and cities of the Kingdom as well as having those waves destroy the buildings.
The First Prince is busy running around and about, barking orders here and there with the First Princess and the Second Princess are also busy helping resupply each magicians to reinforce the barriers and make it much sturdier that normal.
Despite this, the tremors caused by the rampage of the Leviathan are much harder to deal with. Since the tremors are quite strong and comparable to regular earthquakes, it is not easy for everyone as well that the King and Queen also give orders to evacuate the people near the beaches in case the waves destroys the barrier.
While chaos is unfolding on the land, underwater is pure destruction that no regular person would survive the situation.
The people currently there are no other than the adventurers handpicked and trained by the former heroes. Although they are not the heroes of the current generation, they are considered one of the people that are capable of going toe to toe with the enemies of humanity.
And for them, fighting another threat like the Leviathan, is just another day for them.
"Defenders, to the front! Watch out for the blast! Healers, cast Healing Array in a few seconds once the tanks are receiving the damage! All mages, cast your attacks to the Leviathan! The rest of the fighters, to me!" Rakkan rallies the adventurers as he started casting all the buffs to his body and his fists. The other adventurers also started to cast their own buff abilities to either their weapons or straight to their bodies.
The Leviathan sweeps its giant tail, sweeping through the whole battlefield. Compared to the size of the tail of the Leviathan, the humans trying to fight Leviathan are not even as big as its scales. The gigantic body of the Leviathan is enough to crush the adventurers and leave them without a trace.
But the adventurers are not that easy to kill. The defenders slam their shields, encircling all of the other adventurers that are not protected by the shields. In one scream, every shield of the adventurers increase in size, big enough to create a small dome for the humans to remain as the tail sweeps through.
Pillars and rocks flies as the tail sweeps through with force, enough to destroy the majority of the altar’s stage built by the merfolk for the Leviathan. But despite the force that the Leviathan has done, the dome built by the power of the defenders did not get demolished. There are some cracks, sure. But the force is not enough to fully break them to pieces.
As soon as the tail pass by, the defenders quickly remove their shields away as the mages one by one cast off their spells. Various colors of attacks flashes, with either rays, or beams, crossing through the water. These blasts are strong on their own, yet the giant serpent is not even bothered by the attacks. All of the attacks were just ignored, with the Leviathan just staring at the humans attacking him.
And yet even with all of the attacks just casually bumping off from its scales, the adventurers did not even care and continued to fire off their magic spells.
While the magicians are still fighting, Rakkan and the melee adventurers quickly closed their distance to Leviathan. Although it is risky, they managed to close in thanks to the attention of the serpent divided and currently focused on the magicians, protected by the shieldbearing adventurers. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Liliana raise her staff above everyone and silently cast a healing aura that constantly heals the surrounding adventurers around her.
"As expected of the saint, she might have retired as one of the heroes and yet her skills has yet to fade. I know her abilities are amazing but this has already exceeded my expectation!" one of the shielders couldn’t hold his admiration to Liliana’s abilities.
"Of course, compared to the current heroes, the saint’s powers are not just for the show! She used that power to sustain and keep her allies alive throughout the battle against the demon lord! And if you want to be a healer with the heroes, you need to be strong enough to not be considered as baggage for the team!"
Everyone agreed. If they needed to become a saint, they needed to be someone who is capable of surviving even if the others are occupied or can’t protect her. She isn’t just a damsel that needed to be saved, she is someone who keeps the team alive and is the one who need to remain standing when everyone has fallen.
The Leviathan seems to have gotten bored from slapping the adventurers only for them to remain and continue attacking. The Leviathan opens its large mouth and started sucking in the surrounding water.
Rakkan’s eyes lit up the moment he noticed the Leviathan is charging up its power and is now in vulnerable state.
"Here it is! Release your anger and hatred towards the serpent! Hit the f*cker with everything you had!"
The warriors, brawlers, and every adventurers that are melee attackers unleashed their abilities and started charging one by one as they release each attacks in quick succession on the Leviathan’s body. Despite the Leviathan is not showing any signs that it is being hurt by all the attacks that the adventurers have unleashed, it is clear that there is something that is happening to it.
The Leviathan’s relentless suction of water created a massive, swirling vortex of energy. Rakkan knew that if the creature unleashed its full power, their chances of survival would be slim, even with Liliana’s protective barrier and healing abilities. They had to find a way to disrupt the charging process before it was too late.
In short, he needed to ensure that his strike is not half-assed. He had to ensure, Leviathan needs to choke on its own power.

Amidst the growing chaos, Elaina is checking into the Almanac, seeking any botanical remedy that might alleviate Mier’s condition. It might not be an encyclopedia, but it contains all of the known remedies she has planted including in the dungeon garden and she might have missed a plant or two that might be able to solve their current problem.
"[Elaina, how about you rest for a bit? It’s been 6 hours since you have not taken a break from reading on the Almanac!]" the God of Farming is already worried.
"Can’t do that, God of Farming. Right now, Mier is still suffering. If I don’t help out, her life is in danger the longer she has that thing on her arm. If there is even something that would allow me to properly remove it without endangering her life, then I will need it. So please, if you do have some idea, please tell me," Elaina answered without even lifting her eyes from the Almanac.
"[How about we ask our resident doctor here? She handles cases like these for sure in the past, there must be something she can help to remove that?]" the Goddess of Taming suggested.
"[Shh, that woman is currently examining that thing on her arm. Since she have seen this before, it seems that she is now trying to get this matter resolved using her own hands this time around. Don’t disturb her if she is doing her work.]" the God of Farming discourages what the Goddess of Taming is planning.
"She is actually examining it? She wanted to cure it herself?" Elaina asked, somewhat hopeful on what the Goddess of Medicine is about to do.
"[If I can, then I would. However, it seems this thing is not meant to be cured by medicinal plants nor potions and alchemy stuff.]" the Goddess of Medicine suddenly joined with the other Gods talking.
"[I thought you would take a bit of time to examine that dragon scale stuff on the child’s arm?]" the God of Farming frowned.
"[I did. However, since I have seen this before, I only needed to compare my old notes before and just jot down new things. Since her condition has slowed down significantly, I was able to properly observe it this time around compared to the last time I have seen the problem which escalated so fast that I can’t even make a cure.]"
"[So, what is your diagnosis?]" the Goddess of Taming asked, waiting for the answer from the Goddess of Medicine.
"[Like before, there is nothing that can cure it properly...not unless it is doused or slapped with something that has the ability to clear a strong curse.]"
Hearing this, Elaina’s eyes lit up. Doesn’t that mean she has the tool that she can use to deal with it and remove the whole thing in one go?
