A Low Rank Female Goes Viral Across the Galaxy-Chapter 305: Discovered
Hearing Qing Luo’s description, the men weren’t flustered in the slightest. Instead, they laughed arrogantly. "We were thinking of leaving you with intact corpses if you’d been a bit more cooperative.
Unfortunately, you’ve already lost that chance."
"Boss, let’s you and I sit this one out. Let the other boys have some fun.
We’ve been waiting here for so long, our bones are getting stiff," one of them said with a grin.
Hearing this, the man who’d shouted at them readily stepped back. "Alright, then. Old Third, you and your group are up."
Qing Luo immediately transformed into his beast form.
The enormous, green-furred honey badger looked quite intimidating.
The four opposing Beastmen had also transformed.
Jiang Qin grabbed Long Hao, stopping him from transforming. He said reassuringly, "Qinqin, don’t be afraid. When you get a chance, run."
But Long Hao knew it would be difficult for a lone female to escape in a situation like this.
He could only pin his hopes on the White Tiger and the Flying Monkey being strong enough.
Jiang Qin again held back Long Hao, who was about to charge out and fight to the death. "I’m not scared. You’re forbidden from fighting. You know you’re injured."
"But..."
"Quiet! Just watch!"
Suddenly, two giant beasts appeared in the distance, emerging from different directions.
It was the Flying Monkey and the White Tiger!
Suddenly, everyone felt the sky above them darken. They looked up and were shocked to see nine snake heads writhing chaotically in midair.
Each and every head looked chillingly sinister.
Terrified, Bai Ruo trembled uncontrollably, not daring to move a muscle.
Long Hao and Qing Luo’s expressions grew grim, as they both assumed the Nine-headed Serpent was one of the enemy’s allies. After all, it looked exceptionally vicious.
Little did they know, their opponents’ expressions had grown equally grim.
A few beads of cold sweat trickled down Jiang Qin’s forehead as she single-handedly controlled the three powerful beasts.
She pulled Long Hao and Bai Ruo over, took a square box out of her small plantation, and guided them inside it.
This was a shelter Yun Xie had commissioned from a Master Mechanic on the Dark Web.
Due to technical limitations, it couldn’t block attacks completely, but holding out for two or three hours was no problem.
Ever since she began training her Superpower, Jiang Qin had known that her own body was her greatest weakness.
She needed to concentrate on controlling her Superpower’s manifestations, which meant she couldn’t be attacked.
If she were attacked, her mortal body would likely be taken down by a single swipe from a Beastman’s claw.
For her own safety, she had specifically asked her partners to help her find an item for self-defense.
This box was the final, custom-made product.
When placed on the ground and its deployment button was pressed, the four corners of its base would automatically drill a hundred meters into the ground, anchoring it firmly.
No matter who tried to push it, it wouldn’t budge. Likewise, the material of the box’s four walls could not be breached.
It was forged from the strongest and rarest ore in the Interstellar era, using a special crafting method.
According to Yun Xie, the Master Mechanic he found on the Dark Web had been famous there for a long time and rarely accepted commissions.
At first, the man had refused their commission, too. Later, for some unknown reason, that Master Mechanic proactively contacted him, expressed his willingness to take the job, and didn’t even try to jack up the price.
This was the first time Jiang Qin had used it; after all, it wasn’t easy to come by, and if it broke, it would be gone for good.
She wanted to call Qing Luo inside to take cover, but he completely ignored her, growing more and more frenzied in his fighting.
He seemed to relish this brutish style of combat, pitting the pure strength of his beast form against the enemy Beastman’s.
Bai Ruo crouched on the floor, trembling, her eyes covered. She didn’t dare look outside; she was too afraid of snakes.
’Especially a nine-headed one! It’s terrifying!’
Meanwhile, Jiang Qin focused on controlling the White Tiger to engage one Beastman, while the Flying Monkey kept two others occupied.
As for the last two, Xiang Liu was hunting them down!
Long Hao had figured it out. "That Nine-headed Serpent is here to help us? Qinqin, do you know it?"
"Yeah. His name is Xiang Liu, and he’s extremely venomous."
After seeing the Nine-headed Serpent reduce an enemy Beastman to a pile of bones with a single strike, Long Hao was convinced. It really was incredibly venomous.
But this only made him more bewildered.
He couldn’t understand why Jiang Qin would suddenly know so many fierce and powerful-looking Beastmen on Chaotic Star.
Furthermore, except for the White Tiger, the beast forms of the other two were unrecorded in any Interstellar database.
’Could they be... Beastmen attracted purely by her charm?’
Although he found Jiang Qin wonderful and very attractive, she hadn’t reached the point where she could mesmerize everyone she met, had she?
In truth, Long Hao was mostly just worried.
He was worried that these three creatures would turn on her; after all, they really didn’t look like the good guys.
...
Under the fierce assault of the three powerful Alien Beasts, the enemy, despite their superior numbers, couldn’t find an opening to attack Jiang Qin and her companions.
After all, they never imagined these three beasts were being controlled by a person, rather than being actual Beastmen.
Thus, their full attention was focused on the Flying Monkey and its companions.
But, unaware of their opponents’ true strength, they were all defeated.
The Beastman facing the White Tiger was only an A-level male. With a single roar, the tiger’s cry pierced the eardrums of every Beastman on the field, causing their Spirit Seas to roil violently.
Then, its claws became coated in golden light, and it lunged, tearing into the Beastman.
When the Beastman bit back, its fangs couldn’t even pierce the White Tiger’s hide.
The White Tiger slammed the Beastman to the ground, and with a whip of its tail, shattered the man’s bones, leaving him paralyzed and collapsed on the dirt.
The other members of the Sea Sand Gang had no time to worry about their comrade’s fate; they were about to be wiped out themselves.
Xiang Liu had already killed two Beastmen with his venom.
The Flying Monkey had already crushed one Beastman’s skull and was now stomping a flying-type Beastman out of the sky, sending it plummeting to the ground.
Jiang Qin recalled Xiang Liu and directed the White Tiger to help Qing Luo.
But the ungrateful honey badger yelled, "Go away, Tiger! This is my prey!"
Jiang Qin was speechless. ’Some prey. It’s a classic case of "kill a thousand enemies and lose eight hundred of your own"!’
But she understood what honey badgers were like, and she understood Qing Luo’s stubborn temper even better.
If she really went ahead and helped him kill that Beastman, he would probably get genuinely angry, pester her for days, and demand a duel with the White Tiger.
So she decided to recall the White Tiger as well.
Controlling the Flying Monkey alone, she finished off the remaining enemies in the blink of an eye, then recalled it.
Long Hao watched all this unfold with a complex expression, as if he’d connected some dots.
His heart ached for her, and he used his own sleeve to gently wipe the cold sweat from her forehead.
He said nothing, asked nothing.
Even though he’d guessed the truth, he didn’t blame Jiang Qin for not telling him. Instead, he was slightly annoyed at himself for being clever enough to have seen through it.
’After all, with something this extraordinary, every person who knows is another point of failure. Even I can’t guarantee I’ll be safe my entire life.’
’You have to remember, those crazed scientists have memory extractors!’
’Who could guarantee that device would never be used on me?’
But then he thought about how Jiang Qin must trust him to have revealed these traces of her power in his presence, and his heart felt tender and full.
His heart and eyes were filled with nothing but her.
