A Journey That Changed The World.-Chapter 1668: A Holiday Destination?
At the tower, Archer lingered alongside the three women, casting Time Warp around the building to extend their time together. On the second day, he woke, a smile spreading across his face as Halime nestled close, brown skin aglow thanks to their sex, a peaceful smile curving her lips.
Shifting his gaze, he noticed Llyniel on his other side, her brown hair gathered in a tousled bun, resting calmly. The two women spent all night pampering him as he made love to them before falling asleep. He got out of bed and made his way over to the window, giving him a perfect view of their island.
The sprawling complex rivaled the size of Australia, a vast network of structures crafted using his mana to contain creatures. It featured reinforced warehouses and fortified residences for the soldiers working with the women. In the distance, he sensed dozens of sea monsters confined within the towering wall he'd erected around the continent.
Dinosaurs, mythical beasts, and countless other creatures roamed within, their numbers swelling into the millions as eight expedition teams scoured Thrylos to capture them for Halime, Leira, and Llyniel alongside a few others. Nefertiti's contribution included several winged beasts, prompting him to construct a specialized enclosure for them.
A feature the women loved when seeing it. Archer soon found out that Hemera, Hecate, Aeris, Aurelia, Teuila, and Eveline became interested in the zoo idea he gave them years ago. He didn't think they'd take it seriously, but when Halime came to him asking for the expeditions to collect monsters for them, he couldn't he but agree.
He asked them all to collect monsters while visiting new lands, while he designed a zoo back on Draconia. While standing there, Kassandra appeared behind him, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, thanks to being nearly as tall as he was. A smile appeared on his face as he greeted the Kraken beauty.
''Hey, Kass, how have you been?'' he asked, grabbing her soft hand.
''It's been exciting,'' the young woman replied. ''I love exploring the new lands even though it's annoying that I have to deal with so many sea monsters.''
''Haven't you been dumping them in here?'' Archer asked, his eyebrow rising.
Kassandra giggled and nodded. ''Yes, I have, and the others love it,'' she revealed. ''You should see Hali, Lyn, Leira, and Hemi on their boat, it's adorable.''
Archer chuckled at this before taking out some papers and a pen, sitting down, which caught the Kraken's attention as she joined him. ''What are you doing now, husband?''
Without glancing up, he replied. ''I'm designing the zoo for the Wyldheart Company. They'll build and manage it, while the others can visit freely.''
Kassandra, seated beside him, was stunned. She watched as he meticulously sketched enclosures for every type of creature, leaving no detail overlooked. His plans included shops, elevated viewing platforms, and attractions designed to draw Draconians and other visitors, ensuring the zoo can pay for itself.
The young woman's eyes traced the lines of his sketches, each stroke revealing a vision that was ambitious. The paper sprawled across the table, alive with enclosures: vast savannas for lumbering beasts, shimmering water pens for sea creatures, and towering aviaries for the winged monsters.
Every element was thoughtfully placed, pathways winding through gardens, rest areas shaded by trees with benches for people to relax, and exhibits designed to captivate visitors. His mana-infused designs seemed to hum with energy, as if the zoo itself might spring to life from the page.
''You've thought of everything,'' Kassandra finally said, her voice a mix of awe and disbelief. ''How do you even, how do you hold all this in your head?''
He paused, hand hovering over a sketch of an amphitheater for live creature displays. A faint smile tugged at his lips. ''It's not about holding it all. It's about seeing what Thrylos needs. The Company wants a legacy, something that binds the Draconians and the outsiders to this land. A zoo like this it's more than cages. It's a story, a connection.''
Kassandra leaned closer, her auburn hair catching the dim glow of the lantern. ''A story? You mean the monsters?''
''Not just them,'' he said, tapping the paper where a bustling marketplace was drawn, complete with stalls for rare artifacts and creature-themed trinkets. ''The monsters are the heart, sure. But the people, the soldiers, the families, the visitors, they're the pulse. This place will bring them together, give them something to marvel at.''
She nodded slowly, her gaze lingering on a sketch of a massive gate engraved with runes, its design both welcoming and formidable. ''And the sea monsters? The ones you trapped in the wall?''
He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound. ''They're the stars of the show. I've designed a lagoon, deep enough for them to thrash about but safe for spectators. Reinforced with mana barriers, of course. No one's getting eaten on opening day.''
Kassandra smirked, but her expression softened as she studied him. ''You're not just building a zoo, are you? This is something bigger.''
He met her gaze, his eyes glinting. ''It's a sanctuary. For the creatures, for the Draconians, for anyone who sets foot here. Thrylos is wild, Kass. This zoo will tame just enough of it to remind people why it's worth saving, and that's what Draconia is going to do.''
For a moment, neither spoke. The only sound was the scratch of his quill as he added a final flourish to a viewing tower, its platform offering a panoramic view of the continent's untamed horizon. Kassandra reached out, her fingers brushing the edge of the paper. ''When do we start building?''
He grinned, setting the quill down. ''As soon as Ella and Aisha sign off. But first, I need to figure out how to keep the flyers from eating the guests.''
''You'll figure it out, my love,'' the Kraken replied, giggling. ''How much will this thing cost?''
''Millions if not billions,'' Archer replied, turning his gaze back to the blueprints. ''It will be built on one of the islands surrounding Draconia, not sure which one yet, but that's another thing I need to do, I need to name them once again if I'm opening them up to the citizens.'' 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Kassandra leaned forward, her gaze fixed on the map of Thrylos spread across the table, its edges curling under the weight of Archer's sketches. The mana lights' soft glow cast flickering shadows over the paper, illuminating the four islands that encircled the central continent.
The young woman traced a finger along the Northeast island. ''The Northeast is encircled by a coral reef, teeming with life,'' she said thoughtfully. ''What about calling it Brightreef? The name feels right.''
Archer looked up from his quill, his eyes brightening with approval. ''Brightreef,'' he repeated, nodding slowly as he tested the name. ''It's perfect. That island's got vast, flat plains crisscrossed by winding rivers, ideal for exhibits. The coral reef will draw visitors, too, a natural spectacle. It's the ideal spot for the Draconia Monster Park, where we can showcase Thrylos' wildest beasts in harmony with the land.''
Kassandra smiled, pleased by his enthusiasm. She shifted her attention to the map, pointing to the Northwest island, its jagged outline marked by volcanic peaks. ''And what about this one? The hot island in the Northwest? It's all steaming springs and rugged cliffs. What's your plan for it?''
Archer's gaze followed her finger, and his brow furrowed in thought. He leaned back, his mind clearly racing, then a spark of inspiration lit his features. ''What if we turn it into a haven for rest?'' he excitedly asked. ''A retreat, a place where Draconians and travelers from beyond Thrylos can escape the grind of their lives. Resorts, spas, bathhouses, the works.''
Kassandra tilted her head, intrigued but seeking clarity. ''A holiday destination? On a volcanic island? Explain.''
With a flick of his wrist, Archer created a mana projection, the Northwest island appearing in the air. Its landscape glowed, steam rising from pools. ''Picture this,'' he began. ''The Wyldheart Company could develop luxurious resorts along the island's gentler slopes, built from the local blackstone to blend with the terrain. We'd carve bathhouses into the cliffs, fed by natural hot springs, perfect for soaking away stress.''
His smile grew wider as he concluded. ''Add in open-air pavilions for dining alongside many restaurants and other stores, shaded by flowering vines, and trails winding through cooled lava fields for scenic walks. The heat of the island becomes its charm, a place to unwind in warmth and luxury.''
Kassandra studied the mana map, her imagination painting vivid scenes of Draconians lounging in steaming pools, while visitors from distant lands marveled at the island's raw beauty. ''You're not just building a getaway,'' she muttered, a bright smile crossing her face. ''You want to create a place where the chaos of Thrylos feels a world away.''
''Exactly,'' Archer replied, his pen moving as he sketched a cluster of domed structures overlooking a glowing lagoon. ''The island's natural heat will power the spas, and we'll use mana to temper the climate, keep it warm. Add a few viewing platforms for the volcanoes, maybe even a stargazing terrace. People will come from across the world to recharge.''
