A Journey That Changed The World.-Chapter 1253: You Killed My Husband!
With a steady breath, Archer reached into the Item Box and pulled out a ring, the delicate pink gem catching the light. When Nefertiti saw this, her eyes widened, curiosity growing, and for a moment, the atmosphere shifted.
Archer’s voice softened, filled with sincerity as he took her hand gently. ’’Nefi… will you marry me?’’
Nefertiti stared at the ring in his hand, her heart pounding in her chest. The playful smirk that had been on her lips faded, replaced by a softness that reflected the moment. She looked up into his eyes, her own filled with a mix of surprise and emotion.
For a long beat, the world seemed to pause around them, the air thick with unspoken words. Finally, with a tender smile, she took his hand, her voice barely above a whisper but full of sincerity.
’’Yes,’’ she said, her voice steady despite the emotions welling inside her. ’’I love you so much!’’
Archer smiled when hearing this and quickly gave the succubus a tight cuddle, which she instantly melted into. Seconds later, he grabbed her delicate chin before stealing her plump lips.
The two of them continued kissing, as the pink-haired beauty loved it. Minutes later, they separated as Nefertiti spoke, ’’Thank you Arch, I’ve been waiting for this for years.’’ Find more chapters on novelbuddy
Following that, she ushered him back into the living room while speaking, ’’Now go rest husband and send Leira here. I need her help.’’
He agreed with a smile before slumping down in a nearby chair as the cat woman turned to him with curious green eyes, ’’What’s up?’’ she asked.
’’Nefi needs your help with the dinner,’’ Archer answered while resting his head back. ’’She wouldn’t let me do it.’’
Leira giggled while standing up after putting her book down. ’’It doesn’t matter, I love helping her cook.’’
She walked toward the kitchen as his eyes closed while the wind outside picked up and started battering the walls. Archer ignored it as he knew it was winter’s last storm before spring would come.
Minutes later, the warmth of the air wrapped around Archer like a gentle embrace, lulling him into a deep, peaceful sleep. Time passed in a blur, and Nefertiti’s soft, melodic voice stirred from his rest him.
’’Wake up, handsome,’’ she called, her tone sweet and inviting. ’’The food’s done and ready to eat.’’
His eyes opened, meeting the sight of the succubus standing before him, her smile wide with warmth. Archer gave a sleepy nod, still taking in her presence, before rising and following her to the stone table that had been set up in their new home.
The scent of the meal filled the air, and for a moment, everything felt just right. Archer shook his head before sitting down just as Leira spoke. ’’You’ll love the meat, Arch. We added some spices you like.’’
’’Thank you girls,’’ he replied before yawning.
Following that, the three of them started eating while Archer used Mana Manipulation to scan the landscape around the building but found nothing. He continued eating just as the exhaustion overtook him.
With a yawn, Archer stood up after eating and spoke to the women, ’’I’n going to get some sleep. Using all that mana earlier has caught up to me.’’
Nefertiti quickly jumped up and approached him with a worried expression, wrapping her arms around him in a gentle hug. ’’We’ll clean up and join you, my love. Now, get some rest,’’ she whispered, her voice filled with care.
Leira followed suit, giving him a warm embrace before he finally made his way to the bedroom. The moment Archer collapsed onto the bed, he sighed in relief as it was unbelievably comfortable.
Exhaustion claimed him swiftly, drawing him into a deep, dreamless sleep. Hours later, he stirred, a warm shiver running through his body as the soft, lingering touch of lips traced along his neck.
His breath hitched as another pair of lips brushed against his abs, their kisses slow and deliberate, sending waves of heat rippling through him. The sensual caress roused him fully, his senses awakening to the tender intimacy surrounding him.
Archer’s eyes fluttered open, his vision slowly focusing on a pair of captivating pink ones gazing back at him. A soft smile tugged at his lips as he met Nefertiti’s intense, lust-filled stare.
Her expression was a mix of desire and devotion, sending a spark through him. She leaned in closer, her warm breath brushing against his ear as she whispered in a sultry tone, ’’We’ve both agreed to tend to you tonight... now that we’re your official fiancées.’’
Before Archer could respond, a thunderous explosion shook the air, followed by the chaotic roar of battle outside. The three of them sprang to their feet, instincts kicking in. Without grabbing a shirt, he rushed out of the house, his heart pounding like a war drum.
As he emerged, his eyes widened at the scene before him. One of the Oathkeepers hurtling through the air, crashing violently through a stone wall with a deafening thud, causing the giant knight to groan.
The remaining three were locked in combat with a lone woman. That’s when Archer noticed about fifty warriors standing a few meters behind her. She stood amidst the chaos, laughing maniacally, her movements deadly.
Each devastating punch she delivered sent shockwaves through the battlefield, her raw power overwhelming as the ground cracked beneath her strikes. Archer’s excited surged forward as he shouted out an order, ’’Oathkeepers! Protect the queens while I’ll deal with this human.’’
The woman whirled toward him, her blood-red eyes blazing with unrestrained hatred. The very air around her seemed to ripple with her fury as she stepped forward, pointing a sword at him.
Her voice was venomous, dripping with vengeance as she spat, ’’White Devil! You killed my husband, and now I’m here to claim your life as retribution!’’
Archer raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing at his lips as he stood unfazed by her rage. His voice was calm yet laced with mockery as he taunted, ’’Your husband? You’ll have to be more specific. I’ve killed millions of humans, hard to keep track of every name.’’
’’Marcus Devail, he was a Demi God in the Alliance,’’ she revealed.
Hearing her words, Archer threw his head back and laughed uncontrollably, his booming voice echoing across the landscape. The woman’s fury only deepened, her grip tightening on the hilt of her sword as her body trembled with rage.
But it was his next taunting remark that pushed her over the edge. ’’Well, if he was with those dogs, he deserved to die,’’ he said with a wicked grin. ’’Though, if I’m being honest, he was probably just fed to my monsters.’’
Before she could even process the insult, the battlefield erupted into chaos. From the shadows, Broodmaws surged forward like nightmares brought to life, their massive, grotesque forms barreling into the Alliance attackers.
The creatures tore through the ranks with terrifying ease, their scythes and fangs ripping through armor and flesh as the enemy, caught completely off guard, fell into disarray. Archer shot forward like a missile only to land a powerful punch against the woman’s stomach.
He watched as her charge was cut short as a force struck her, sending her hurtling into the nearby river. For a moment, the battlefield stilled, but soon enough, she emerged from the water, drenched and seething with fury.
Before she could make another move, a wave of crackling arcane magic slammed into her, staggering her mid-step. He turned, his eyes widening as he saw Leira transform into her primal form.
Her lithe figure shifted into a towering feline predator, muscles rippling beneath her purple fur, and her green eyes gleaming with raw power. With a deafening roar, the giant cat lunged at the woman, swiping a massive paw that sent her flying like a rag doll.
The momentum carried her straight toward Nefertiti, who stood poised with a spell already crackling in her hands. That’s when the succubus unleashed a colossal arcane fist, which struck the woman, driving her straight into the ground at his feet.
Archer smirked as he looked down at her crumpled form, his voice calm but laced with menace. ’’You should’ve stayed in the river.’’
She looked up at him and muttered, ’’Fuck you!’’
This only made him smile as he summoned Ari, who appeared seconds later with a big smile as he spoke, ’’Take this idiot to the Battle Sisters and make sure she’s trained well.’’
The Elemental woman gave a sharp nod, her expression cold and unyielding as she grabbed the enemy warrior by the neck, the limp body dangling helplessly in her grasp. ’’Will do, husband,’’ she replied.
Seconds later, Ari vanished as the Broodmaws finished off the surviving enemy soldiers. Archer turned back to the girls who appeared behind him as Leira returned to her humanoid form.
Her purple hair floated in the breeze just as Nefertiti commented, ’’We fucked her up husband! Did you see our teamwork?’’
