A Crazy Love Proposal-Chapter 68 - 51 Do not admonish your child before meals
Chapter 68: Chapter 51: Do not admonish your child before meals
Chapter 68 -51: Do not admonish your child before meals
She couldn’t help but curl her lips upwards—her brother had her hooked, mouth agape like a fish.
Silly fisherman.
Wen Yangzhi had just woken up, his voice even lower than usual, “When did you wake up?”
Embarrassed to say she was too happy to sleep, she shyly replied, “Just now.”
Wen Yangzhi cradled her face and kissed her again. Yun Yuwan truly felt like she was floating. She pursed her lips and gave him a gentle kiss in return. He didn’t object and even moved to meet her lips.
She simply couldn’t control the corners of her mouth and her smile.
As Wen Yangzhi got out of bed, she thought he would head straight to wash up. Instead, he lifted her up by her armpits and set her down by the bed, like a parent waking a child, forcibly powering her on.
His movements were casual, even a bit sloppy, as he looked down with half-closed eyes.
Strong yet indolent.
After setting her by the bed, he went to the bathroom to freshen up.
Yun Yuwan was momentarily stunned before realizing he had beckoned her to get up as well.
Sitting at the edge of the bed, she felt unexplainably happy. Just the thought of this being their daily routine after marriage made her ecstatic.
Did her brother think she would laze in bed?
She wasn’t a child anymore.
Turning her head, she saw that he hadn’t closed the bathroom door. Yun Yuwan stood up and embraced him from behind while he was wiping his face.
Wen Yangzhi was still twisting the towel when suddenly embraced. Calmly, he hung the towel aside,
“I have an international video conference to attend in a while.”
She hugged him, filled with joy, “I’ll wait for you here.”
His voice was mild, “Mhm.”
After washing his face and emerging, Yun Yuwan was still clinging to him, burying her head into his chest. Wen Yangzhi was looking at his computer, and she wouldn’t come out, wrapping around him like an octopus.
The two waited for the servants downstairs to set the table before descending. It was just a matter of minutes, but Yun Yuwan wanted to keep holding him.
Wen Yangzhi was busy spinning around every day, never idle. While many tasks could be delegated, he didn’t want to be out of touch with his work, so he wouldn’t hand over matters he could understand and decide upon.
In these spare minutes, while he was perusing a draft for a strategic partnership, a phone call came in.
He glanced at the caller ID—it was his other executive assistant. Picking up the phone and holding it to his ear, Wen Yangzhi asked,
“What’s the matter?”
The person on the other end quickly got to the point,
“Director Wen, there’s been a snag with our cooperation with the Belgium Steel Group. They’ve flown over to propose a change to the loan amount previously agreed upon with us. They’ve encountered production issues and can no longer open new production lines, making the funds from Wen Family unnecessary. Director Lin mentioned that a meeting has to be called, and I’m afraid you’ll need to make your way here now.”
The loan had an interest rate of seven percent on a principal of one hundred billion.
Being so close to him, Yun Yuwan naturally heard the conversation.
Is he going out…
A deep feeling of unwillingness surged in her heart, an indescribable sensation, not wanting him to leave.
Yet Wen Yangzhi made no refusal, his tone business-like as he inquired, “What did Director Lin say?”
The assistant explained, “He said we can’t cancel the original contract, suggesting the steel group use the funds to fix their production flaws.”
This reasoning sounded too perfunctory. Wen Yangzhi’s voice was cool and restrained, “Fixing flaws won’t require a hundred billion.”
“Yes, that’s why Director Lin hasn’t made a decision and hopes you can come over.”
Yun Yuwan couldn’t help but tighten her embrace. Wen Yangzhi sensed it and looked down at her.
“Tell them the Wen Family won’t partner with a company that lacks credibility. As for the rest—lower the interest rate, or extend the term, or reduce the amount—let Director Lin and General Manager Li handle it.”
Lin Zhidong was the most meticulous of negotiators; having him handle concessions would likely yield an extreme figure.
This was the only thing Wen Yangzhi was bold enough to trust Lin Zhidong with.
After hanging up the phone, Yun Yuwan pretended not to care, but inside, she had already begun to feel the parting and loss, “Are you going out?”
Wen Yangzhi looked down at her.
Her eyes betrayed her unease, “Didn’t you say you have an international meeting? What if you’re delayed on the road and miss it?”
Wen Yangzhi casually remarked, “Didn’t you hear me tell Lin Zhidong to handle it?”
Her heart was reluctant, yet she had to face it, “I heard.”
His large hand supported her back, pulling her closer into his embrace, while his other hand cradled her bottom. His palms were wide, and his fingers long, securing her firmly even as he sat with legs apart.
But his tone was quite indifferent, “I’m not going out.”
Yun Yuwan’s lips uncontrollably curled upward, unable to suppress her joy. Fearing that Wen Yangzhi might see, she buried her face in his chest and laughed.
Wen Yangzhi, looking at the computer, lit another cigarette. He carefully avoided her hair, holding the cigarette between his lips. One hand pressed the side button of a Swiss Tourens Hook Lighter, causing the metal lid to pop open and flame to spur with contact to the air. His other large hand covered her head to prevent accidentally burning her hair.
Yun Yuwan thought he was patting her head.
She mumbled, “Wen Yangzhi, can you pat me more firmly from now on?”
He pinched the cigarette and looked at her with slightly furrowed brows, as if mishearing, “What did you say?”
She lifted her head, gazing at him with eager anticipation, “Brother, I really like you. It’s only when you pat me firmly that I can feel you like me too.”
Realizing he hadn’t misheard, Wen Yangzhi stared at her.
Yun Yuwan was still blissfully unaware of the danger approaching, her eyes twinkling with stars, “Don’t feel bad for me, I really trust you and believe in your abilities, I can handle it.”
Wen Yangzhi’s thin lips parted coldly, “If you want to return to the old house, I can send you back right now.”
She was shocked, “No, why are you being like this?”
She looked at him with a wronged expression, “Don’t you want to?”
Wen Yangzhi’s face turned as dark as thunderclouds, “I’ve always remembered to spoil you, have I forgotten to discipline you?”
Yun Yuwan instinctively covered her bottom.
Wen Yangzhi said coldly, “You know saying that would get you spanked.”
“But good communication is important so we won’t argue over this in the future,” she couldn’t help but retort.
He frowned, annoyed, and snipped off the burning part of the cigar with the cutter. The lit part fell into the ashtray, and he carelessly threw the unsmoked portion onto the table.
Instinctively, she wanted to run, to crawl out of his embrace, but found herself falling onto the carpet and scrambling to the side.
Uncle Wen didn’t bother with her affairs; as the eldest brother, he had a fatherly authority over her, and even though they were not on the same household registration, he had every right to discipline her.
Wen Yangzhi grabbed the collar of her shirt, “Sit properly.”
Yun Yuwan was seated on the couch, looking uncomfortable and restless.
Wen Yangzhi’s face was expressionless, “I won’t hit you, you don’t scold children before a meal.”
She looked pitiful, her head shrunken, “You’re not planning to scold me after I finish eating, are you? I’ll have indigestion.”
Wen Yangzhi looked at her intently, his eyes devoid of laughter, only impenetrable barriers, as he spoke sternly,
“Get rid of the habit of running your mouth off. This is China, where most people are reserved and dignified, including my business partners, the esteemed families that the Wen Family associates with, and relatives and friends. No one can tolerate such talk.”
She suddenly felt a bit surprised, “So it’s not that you think what I do is bad, but that the people here aren’t used to hearing it?”
He didn’t affirm her statement but instructed her instead, “Get rid of this habit.”
She couldn’t help but defend herself, “I wouldn’t speak like this to anyone else, only to you.”
There was a moment of silence, and Wen Yangzhi, with his eyes cast down, seemed lost in thought. However, after a few seconds, he just stared at her and said, “Is that what you need very much?”
Before she could answer, Wen Yangzhi pulled her into his arms. She hadn’t finished saying the word “need” when his hand slipped under her nightgown, his long, slender fingers slowly pressing into her private area. Yun Yuwan instinctively tightened her grip on his shoulders, her expression losing control, stammering uncontrollably, “I… didn’t mean… that… I was just talking nonsense.”
Her face turned red, and she couldn’t help but bite his shoulder, but Wen Yangzhi didn’t stop his movements.
Yun Yuwan had never expected things to go this way,
She… didn’t want it to be like this
Yun Yuwan wanted to cry without tears, regretting ever speaking such nonsense. Had she known he’d take it seriously.
After about ten minutes, he finally let go of her.
His expression was as if he’d done nothing out of the ordinary, detached and heartless, his tone cold, “Go take a shower.”
She felt as if her legs were numb, and once she hit the floor, it felt like electricity passed through her, barely keeping her from falling to her knees.
Why was he like this? She hadn’t even said she wanted it now. He was too domineering, that damned old man.
She heard him washing his hands at the sink outside the bathroom, wanting to curse him but unable to speak, feeling slightly weak.
When she came out after the shower, he was looking at a tablet. His long, powerful hands, fingers resting against the side of the tablet, held it single-handedly, his large hand sweeping across the back of the tablet.
Because of his large hands, the tablet didn’t seem too big in his grasp.
It was like a slightly larger Kindle compared to a phone.
She stared at his handsome hands in a daze.
Until Wen Yangzhi, without raising his head, spoke, “Still thinking about it?”

She immediately shook her head frantically and ran several meters away.
Wen Yangzhi turned off the tablet, “Come downstairs.”
She stood at the top of the stairs, and Wen Yangzhi naturally reached out and took her hand.
Yun Yuwan thought of something and tried to shake off his hand, but instead, he gripped it firmly, reminding her that babbling nonsensically was to be taken seriously with him.
Yun Yuwan watched him eat with chopsticks, check messages on his phone, cradle the bottom of bowls, and she couldn’t help but flush with embarrassment, the unspoken connotations linked to his pale, slender hands suddenly seeming evident.
His knuckles were slightly prominent, and she could imagine the sensation of those slightly protruding knuckles rubbing back and forth inside her.
Wen Yangzhi didn’t even look at her but knew exactly what she was thinking, “Not enough, hmm?”
Yun Yuwan shook her head wildly again and sat a bit farther away from him with her bowl.
Wen Yangzhi lowered his head, his tone leaving no room for refusal, “Come closer.”
“I don’t want to come closer, you pervert,” she shot back, holding the bowl.
She shouldn’t have felt sorry for this old man with rheumatism or rushed over through the rain, thinking he must be suffering right now. He wasn’t suffering at all; it was she who was in agony.
Why was it like this.
Wen Yangzhi lifted his cool eyelids, “I won’t say it a second time.”
Yun Yuwan didn’t want to go over, her face gloomy, she complained, “You’re bullying me.”
Wen Yangzhi put down his chopsticks, the slight sound tensing her up. Holding a bowl almost as big as her face, trembling with fear, she stammered at him,
“I didn’t say I wanted it right now. I was talking about the future. Who does that? You didn’t even ask if I wanted it now. You’re not democratic at all. I don’t like you anymore.”
