Dessert was served shortly after dinner,but Grandpa wasn’t there after complaining of having a slight headache.He went to his room to sleep early but it was obvious to Ezekiel that the old man was lying and he Knew the reason behind that.

Staring at his son who had his arms wrapped around Hazel as he fed her some fruits to the open eyes of the few who decided to have dessert was an eyesore to him,he knew Zaiden more than everyone and knew he was just playing in front if them to make them believe that he’s serious about Hazel.

But for what reasons does he have to pretend?

He doesn’t know much about his relationship with Arianna but after meeting her at the company he had a doubt about what Zaiden said about her being his Ex.

Arianna was more well-mannered,Beautiful and capable of being his wife and not some girl who was recommended by his Wife.

He wasn’t actually blaming Avery for getting a wife for their son without talking to him first about it,but he just didn’t seem to like the girl,if anything she looked like one who was pretending in front of the family only to have another agenda for coming here.

Don’t call him a philanthropist or anything because he knew about these kinds of people, people like Hazel who likes a pauper only to get such an opportunity wouldn’t hesitate to try to be the head at everything,he doubted if she was a good heart just like his wife said.

Although he hadn’t seen anything suspicious about her that would make him agree to what Avery says about her, the doubts were still with him that she’s just a gold digger just like Sophia said.

He just prays Whatever it is Zaiden thinks he’s doing with her,he doesn’t fall for someone like her,he couldn’t bear his son having a heart attack over some girl for breaking his heart when it’s clear to everyone that the girl wasn’t among their leques and she might be planning on how to con everyone here.

He knew he had this mentality with him that made him think that everything was worth fighting for,even when he knew it didn’t belong to him,like how he’s doing everything possible for his son to be the one who gets the company when Zaiden is still in the picture.

"Son,what are you doing?"Ezekiel started as he raised his eyebrows at his dad not understanding what he meant."Don’t give me that face,you know exactly what i’m talking about"Ezekiel persisted and that was when Zaiden understood what he meant,he touched his temple,he was ready having migraines with his dad’s constant talking about not going ahead with his marriage with Hazel.

What exactly does he want him to do?He can’t just tell her he wasn’t interested anymore after breaking her heart the first time,Sunny was going to kill him.

Not that he was scared of her friend,but he knew it wouldn’t make sense telling her he wasn’t interested again after going to her house personally to bring her back,it was going to leave a stain on his ego,he just couldn’t do it.

"Dad I thought we’ve had this discussion,why do you still persist in not letting my marriage hold?"He asked with a tired voice,he’s sick and tired of this drama.

"That’s because I can’t let my son make a mistake that he would eventually regret as time goes on,you need to listen to me?"

"And that mistake is what?"He flared up"Getting married to Hazel?Do you think I’m still a child that doesn’t know what he wants?"

"Stop acting as if you love her,this is not about what you want,it’s about what you need!"Ezekiel said pointing at his face,but Zaiden only rolled his eyes at him, pinching his nose while walking up to him.

"Thats what you don’t understand Father, because I fucking need her!"He yelled,his father had made him sat what he wanted to be kept hidden, but here he was,telling his father about it.

He just won’t understand that as much as he’s trying to keep his feelings at bay,he won’t have anyone take away Hazel from him until he’s done with her.

Hazel belongs to him,him alone!

"What?"His dad asked, staring at him with confused expressions.

"Yes dad,she belongs to me and I won’t let you or anyone take her away from me!"He roared.

"Don’t you see what’s she doing son,she’s messing with your mind, and I’m going to do you the liberty of getting her out of your life before she leaves you just like Arianna!"Ezekiel said this and this triggered something in Zaiden because he rushed to his dad,yanking his collar with his raised fist.

"Stop it!!"A loud shrill voice yelled at the top of her lungs,turning to see his mother at the brink of tears at the two of them,he released his father before turning to leave.

"Zaiden"Avery called with tears in her face.

"Talk to your husband,he needs to leave me alone"he warned storming back into the house,his fist clenched that he turned to the nearest wall and laid his aggression on it,his knuckles bleeding already.

His dad already knew him quite well and knows that once he sets his mind to something,nothing on earth can make him have a change of heart,yet,he questioned his decision on getting married to Hazel.

This happens all because of a girl who he can’t seem to stop thinking of,no matter how hard he tries to get her off his mind and how hard he’s trying to keep to his promise of getting him to sign a divorce after he’s done with her in this marriage with him,but it’s all wavering.

His decision is wavering,all because of Hazel, he’s afraid he’s already backing out from his promise,that’s a huge punch to his ego.

He walked into his room,his mind a rollercoaster of thoughts that he didn’t notice the sleeping beauty that was laid on his couch,while holding the pillow tight to her arms.

He poured himself a glass of alcohol,turning to gulp it down l and halted when he saw her.

God!This girl is certainly a goddess.

Why does she seem beautiful in everything she wears? He didn’t notice her wearing this at the dinner table because he was focused on showing Nathan the power he had over him.

The nightgown didn’t do much to hide those lustful body of hers to his hungry eyes.

Fuck! How’s he going to control himself around this woman?

Dropping the glass of wine,he walked up carefully so as to not wake her up,he sat down in a nearby seat in front of her studying her face.

She looked really innocent while sleeping,how does she manage to sleep in this situation knowing very well she’s in the room of the man who would do bad things to her.

The man who had shown her that he was keen on hurting her.

He held himself from doing those things to her,this girl was going to be the death of him!

How does she manage to get him this hard?Even while she’s sleeping with those eyes of hers closer he couldn’t seem to stop staring at him.

He couldn’t believe he had an argument with his father who he loves dearly for some woman he just met weeks ago. What’s happening to him?

She groaned in her sleep,his attention turning back to her as she pouted her soft crey lips,this time she turned facing her while her nightgown rode up exposing her lace panties to him.

He stood up immediately looking away while walking in circles,what’s he going to do with her?

He battled internally with his conscience and took her up in his arms,she mumbled something to herself which made him smile before placing her in the bed and covered her up with the sheets.

He made up his mind to stay in his office for tonight,he didn’t know how much control he had left on himself if he decided to stay here with her,he didn’t want to lose control.

Not now,when he still has a lot to find out about her,turning to leave, he stopped in his tracks when he heard her call his name.

It was barely audible but his ears were loud enough to hear her call him the second time,she was dreaming about him.

Hazle was dreaming about him.

He wanted to know what she saw in her dreams about him, was he her Knight in shining armour or the Villain.

But what’s the use of knowing that,because just as she had known that he despised her,he would always be the villain.
