"How much did she gave you?I will fucking double it,you slut!!"

"You are hurting me?"she cried.

"This is just the beginning Hazel,welcome to your hell!’’She heard Zaiden’s sinister laughter as she looked around, finding herself in a dark room with no window or a door to escape.

Where was she?

Turning around to find him because she wasn’t a friend to the darkness, she heard his echoing voice in the dark room while trying to curtail her trembling figure because she was scared.

Suddenly,she saw him standing a few inches away from her holding a touch light,she smiled with relief that he came back for her.

She tried to walk up to him but was held back and that was when she noticed that she was bound,her hand was changed likewise with her leg making it impossible for her to move to him. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

"What are you..doing?’’She asked, in fear not liking what was happening at the moment,this wasn’t the Zaiden she knew,he wouldn’t kidnap her.

She heard him scoffing before walking her with slow threatening steps which made her heart pound with fear,she didn’t like the monstrous look on his face,he looked different and more scary.

"Who is he?’’He suddenly asked,while she grimaced her face not understanding him and the situation at all.

This was just a dream right?

It’s not real.

Turning around to make sure it was only a dream just like she said,she jerked when he wrapped his fist round her throat, cutting her air supply while pushing her to him.

What’s wrong with him?

She clawed at his hand that was tightly holding her,that she opened her mouth to breathe as he didn’t show any mercy to her,rather he tightened more on her neck that she was sure he was going to leave a bruise.

"Die"she heard him whisper something which was incoherent to her,she couldn’t make out what exactly he said because she was busy trying to save herself from the hands of her deranged fiance.

He looked different,his blue eyes darkened a more predatory look settling within them which made her wonder what exactly happened to him that made him this way.

Just as she was about to finally give up after a fruitless effort to remove his fingers off her throat,she stared at his face which held amusement seeing her this way,helpless and weak,she finally heard what he said.

"Die!!"

Then he stabbed her with a knife to the heart.

Hazel sat up instantly from the dream, touching her heart which was pounding abnormally to make sure what she just encountered wasn’t real.

Her trembling fingers made way to her chest staying there to ensure it was real,it was only a dream.

Zaiden killed her,he stabbed her.

What does this mean?

She was still trying to calm herself down,but it wasn’t that easy. This was the first time she was having a dream about him and it was a bad dream.

What does this mean?

Was this a sign that he was bad for her?

Would he kill her eventually if they got married?

She tries to forget the evil look on his face as he stabbed her right In her heart,she had never seen him so creepy and oozing danger since she met him.

She knew he was choleric but to stab her in the dream was another thing altogether because she was already getting scared of him already.

The knock on the door made her jerked a bit,she was on edge here and anything made her afraid after what she just saw. The door was opened when a young girl who was dressed in a uniform which she figured out to be a maid came in with her head bowed.

"I was instructed to help you prepare for dinner ma’am"The girl said meekly,her head still bowed awaiting Hazel’s order.

Hazel was annoyed at the way the girl had her head bowed in fear,and she disliked her calling her ma,so,she stood up from the bed and walked up to her,with the girl holding her hand in fear that she might have said something wrong.

Was that how they worked around here?

"What’s your name?"She asked.

The girl hesitated,her heart beating wildly at the reason why the young lady was demanding her name. She hasn’t said anything wrong , right?

She was only following orders from the first lady,she knew what consequences awaited her if she went against the order.

"Se..rah"She finally said in a whisper but what the young lady did next caught her off guard.

"Hazel,address me by my name"she said, stretching her hand out to the girl with a smile on her face to help cool her trembling figure,the girl was exactly her age or maybe her senior,she didn’t like her addressing her as if she was someone too important.

"I’m sorry but we are prohibited from doing that,we will end up being punished"She said,and Hazel understood what was going on,she had forgotten so soon which family she was marrying into.

She had to let the girl do as she said not liking the idea that they are being punished if they go astray to their orders,but that was what is usually seen in an elite home.

The girl helped her get refreshed not that she saw her naked but she helped her with the complicated showerhead before a second repeat of what happened the last time surfaced,she settled for a lace nightgown which didn’t reveal much but it was short.

Serah bowed before leaving as she grabbed her phone to call Sunny but it wasn’t connecting,maybe she was still on her date with Mason,she dropped a voicemail for her which she was expected to call back once she sees it.

Coming out of her room door,she could hear the voices coming from the sitting room,they were talking happily as one family but she knew that was just for a moment because they always seem to choose sides whenever something happens and that something includes her,because she figured out Ziaden’s dad doesn’t fancy her that much,if anything,the man wasn’t happy about his son getting married to a lowlife like her,then Nathan’s family.

Well,it was an open secret to everyone that they didn’t like her one bit,but she didn’t care as long as they stayed in their lane and didn’t trigger the bad girl in her,she’s good.

"Oh! There she is"And that was grandpa’s voice,the minute he said that, everyone’s attention shifted over to her that she felt a bit bothered but that was the family for you.

Surprisingly,Zaiden was nowhere to be found as she scanned her eyes across the room insearch of him. She felt relieved that he wasn’t here because she didn’t know how to react if she saw him,that very same face that stabbed her in the dream.

That dream not leaving her thoughts for any minutes,it was embedded right there in her mind,occupying every space there.

"Grandpa"she walked over to the man who was smiling as she pecked his cheeks,he patted her back and urged her to sit beside him,she noticed the stare of someone on her and turned for it to be that of Sophia.

"How was your day?Hope he didn’t stress you that much?"The old man asked, referring to his grandson who brought her back,he was happy that was finally back to where she rightfully belonged.

She turned to the other family members who were seated round the dining table and showed her respect to them,her father-in-law,Ezekiel humming back to her as a reply before turning back to talk to Elijah who surprisingly,was talking back to him.

Such a rare sight to see,because they weren’t on good terms but to see them this focused on what they were talking about made her heart melt,she didn’t look at Nathan who was seated in front of her across the table because it was meaningless doing so.

"Where’s your Fiance,we have been waiting for you guys for hours’ ’Sophia directed the question to her,she noticed the irritation following behind and that was when it dawned on her that they were waiting for the both of them to come down for dinner.

But,she didn’t know whether he was back from work and Avery was nowhere to be seen to ask whether he was back or not.

"Honey"Elijah called to his wife telling her to mind her words but she rolled her eyes at him,and that was when Anery came out with some few servants carrying dishes of different kinds to place them on the table.

She felt awful that she wasn’t helping around the house but that was a problem, because she was sure if she volunteered to do so,Avery wouldn’t let her do it.

"Where’s Zaiden?"Avery turned to her, asking her the very question of Sophia,what’s with everyone asking her about him?

He’s your fiance Hazel,so you need to answer the god-damned question!

What was she going to say?

Did they think they were on good talking terms to know the whereabouts of each other?

She didn’t want to give the family the idea that their son was treating her badly, so she gave them a smile planning to lie to them.

"Actually he’s..."But she was cut short by the said Fiance.

"I’m here"Zaiden said, coming over to sit beside her,pecking her cheeks before the scrutinizing eyes of everyone seated right in front of them.

Hazel felt her heart stopped beating for some seconds,her eyes widened at what he just did?

"You are here"He said smiling lovingly to her while tucking a strand of her hair away from her face,shocking her and everyone further.

What the hell?

She turned to look at him to find him smirking at her but she knew the meaning behind the look on his face,she knew what he was doing,acting lovingly in front of his face while being the devil to her if they were alone.

He could deceive his family but he can’t do that to her, because in the end he’s still the devil who haunted her dreams.
