Chapter 184: Inquiring
Entering, she found that the cameras in the dormitory had been covered.
Only then did she get upset. She reached up and pulled down the towels blocking the cameras. She was to blame Hannah, but decided not to because of the presence of the cameras.
Being here to record a show, every frame was precious. Hannah’s actions could potentially rob them of a chance to be seen by their fans.
Of course, she was pissed.
Yet, she had to tolerate it.
Lucy Taylor’s face turned red with anger. She tightly held onto the towels, stared in Hannah’s direction with her back to the camera, but Hannah acted as if she hadn’t seen it.
The towel wasn’t hung up by her, so looking at her was pointless.
May Hoffman nearby, noticed this, quickly approached, looked at Hannah sitting on her bed, and asked, "Hannah, why aren’t you in training?"
Hannah flipped the book in her hand and lazily replied, "I don’t want to."
May’s expression was somewhat awkward. "I see, you must be very confident about tomorrow’s performance then."
Hannah glanced at the book in her hand, "It’s okay."
Always handling others’ subtle provocations with a fairly indifferent attitude.
Lucy Taylor stepped forward, a bright smile on her face. "Hannah, can you tell us what your performance tomorrow is? I’m very much looking forward to it."
She deliberately slowed her speech, squeezing out these words from between her teeth.
Initially, she thought Hannah Winter posed no threat to her with just a pretty face. However, since Hannah had a small surge of popularity on the internet after an individual interview, Lucy had started to feel threatened.
She could probe Tiffany Lynch’s performance and capability, but when it came to Hannah Winter, she knew nothing. This indirectly made her feel even more wary.
Hannah closed the book in her hand and turned to see a flash of jealousy on Lucy’s face. She curled her lips in a smile and said, "It’s a secret."
The expression on Lucy’s face almost broke. Grinding her teeth, she said, "Seeing how confident you are, you’ll definitely get an A."
Heh, let’s see how she boasts when she doesn’t get an A and ends up with an F instead.
That’s what Lucy had in mind.
Hannah looked at her, seeming to be at a loss. "Don’t you want an A?"
Lucy’s face stiffened, "I...I of course..."
She couldn’t blurt out such an arrogant statement for fear of being addressed as an egotist or being rebutted publicly.
Considering that Lucy had been professionally trained by the company, she tended to be extra cautious in front of vexing situations so as to avoid causing a daft feeling.
As she remained silent, an awkward atmosphere began to unfurl.
In the end, it was May who stood up again to break the ice,"We all share this dorm. Once the results are out, we may not be living together. Why not have a party tonight?"
May suggested. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Hannah glanced at her. Her gaze lingered on her for a while, her eyes slightly cold as if capable of seeing through someone’s heart.
May was somewhat nervous, gripping her clothing tightly, forcing herself to show a smile. "Hannah, does this sound good to you?"
Hannah looked away, lazily nodded, and continued to read her book.
Because the stage initiation recording was due the next day, everyone decided to relax that night. Some dorms had spontaneously begun to organize activities, which the production crew did not object to.
They could hear the laughter and merriment from the next-door dorm even with the door shut.
