Chapter 183: Chapter 183: Keep a Low Profile

Given Jackie Qualls’ fame, and the fact that he was the event coordinator for this show, there was no way Hannah didn’t know him.

Nevertheless, since Jackie was going to act with her, Hannah pretended not to know him. Yet, Jackie never pierced through this thin veil of ignorance.

Or perhaps he didn’t dare to.

After some thought, the man covered all the cameras in the bedroom with several towels.

Hannah quietly watched his actions, not displaying panic but rather a faint smile, as if watching a play.

She was not at all worried about what the man might do to her.

Instinct.

The producer in the surveillance room was also stunned by this scene, but he dared not say anything. Instead, he instructed his staff to cut off this part of the footage.

The bedroom suddenly became quiet. The man’s warm voice resounded again, "Everyone else is training. Why are you sleeping in the bedroom?"

Hannah looked at him, her eyes curving into a smile, "Haven’t you watched my interview video?"

Jackie was taken aback, "What?"

Hannah smiled, propping her cheek with one hand, "If I don’t want to go, I won’t go."

Her words were carefree, as if she didn’t care in the slightest about tomorrow’s initial stage performance ranking.

If it were someone else, Jackie would definitely frown, and his fondness for that person would diminish greatly.

But when it came to Hannah, Jackie could only give a slight smile, "Are you not worried about tomorrow’s ranking at all?"

Hannah shook her head, asking an unrelated question, "Do you think I’m pretty?"

Jackie looked up and met her shining eyes. Under the reflection of the lamp light, they were like the first snow, pure yet exuding a hint of charming vibrancy.

The man was dazzled. But in his mind, he saw those broken, despairing eyes. He pursed his lips. His voice was soft, but he said, "You’re beautiful."

Hannah laughed, touching her own smooth face, "I knew I was beautiful. So, I’m sure I will get an A. What do you think?"

She was beaming with pride, as if she had a tail wagging behind her.

Jackie unconsciously looked towards the location of the camera.

If this conversation was edited into the final cut, it could potentially have a negative impact on Hannah, especially considering what happened before...

Jackie felt a dull pain in his heart, as if someone had smashed it with a huge hammer. But the person yielding the hammer was he himself.

"You will get an A. But in the show, try to be more low-key, otherwise..."

"Otherwise what?" Hannah didn’t care at all. She leaned against the bed railing, her hand swaying, "I don’t care what others say. All I know is that I’m beautiful, and I want to get an A."

Her words were full of arrogance.

But Jackie didn’t find it repugnant. He stretched out his hand intending to touch the girl’s soft hair, but he only reached halfway before retracting his hand, weakly making a fist, "Alright, if you don’t care, I won’t let..."

The words that followed vanished on the man’s lips. He didn’t utter them but just gazed attentively at the person in front of him.

His gaze was intense.

Jackie left. Before leaving, he made a point to find the show’s producer.

No big deal, just ensuring that the footage of his visit to Hannah wouldn’t appear in any official or behind-the-scenes clips.

The producer didn’t dare to offend Jackie, so he quickly agreed.

When Lucy Taylor and the others returned to the dormitory, they saw Hannah boredly flipping through a book at the side of her bed. Lucy let out a cold laugh, but said nothing.
