Chapter 798
Chapter 798
Anna started flying using her Telekinesis spell from her Sorceress Class while moving forward inside the dungeon after putting a couple of skill points into the said skill to test it out. She knew that she could only do so because her mana usage was being supported by the Meditation Aura coming from the Insight Runeword spear that Daniel was carrying on his back.
Still, based on the mana expenditure, Anna would not be able to support the use of the skill all the time, even with the Meditation Aura. After her mana dipped to around seventy-five percent, she would go down and walk behind Daniel and Ingrid until her mana was full.
Avina, Normumu, and Alethea looked enviously at Anna’s ability to fly, even though she could not do it all the time. Unfortunately for Anna’s classmates, they could only start learning the Fly spell once they reached the archmage wizardry rank, and they were still a few years from reaching it. Even Anna, who was considered the fastest rank climber among them, had only reached the high-level wizardry rank status. Based on their teacher’s calculations, Anna would still need a couple of years before she reached the archmage rank.
Anna knew, though, that it would take her much less than two years to attain the archmage rank. With the help of the Insight Spear and the Mana Storage Mirror, her rate of earning her rank would be unbelievably fast.
Anna was extremely thrilled that her Telekinesis spell was becoming powerful. Soon, she could start flying for real. She would still need to have the Meditation Aura from the Insight Spear for her to be able to fly nonstop. She wished that the Insight Spear was smaller, though. Like a wand, so she could carry it everywhere. Once her brother was back, Anna would ask Anton if he could attach the Meditation Aura to a much smaller piece of equipment, like an accessory or a wand.
Thankfully, before Anna’s brother switched to crafting the portal scrolls, Anton managed to craft hundreds of the small blue bottles of potions called minor mana potions. It was a pity that Anton told her and her father that he could only craft one type of a specific category of consumables per day. Those consumables were the minor healing potion, the minor mana potions, and the portal scrolls. Since Ormunda was asking for a lot of portal scrolls meant that Anton would not be able to craft potions anymore.
She remembered thinking that the mana potions that Anton presented to her and their father were not very useful. Upon consuming it, the potions would allow wizards to memorize spells at a faster rate, around three or four times faster than staying in a room filled with tamed mana. The downside was that the potion's effect did not last long.
Now that she had the Sorceress class, the mana potions became extremely important because without the Meditation Aura, it was the only thing that would allow her to cast her Sorceress spells nonstop. Unfortunately, due to the limited number of mana potions, she could only use them for emergencies.
Anna thought that the best use of those small mana potions was to give her the confidence to fly without worrying that she would run out of mana and fall once her Telekinesis spell had a higher number of skill points. One amazing thing about the mana potions from Anton was that upon drinking, the potion actually disappeared once it entered one's mouth, and then the mana pool would increase. The potion did not actually reach the stomach. That meant that even if one consumed the potion nonstop, the liquid would just disappear directly to fill up the mana pool instead of filling the stomach with liquid.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
It was the same with the minor healing potions. Anna was also carrying some of the healing potions, but the majority of them were stored in the manor’s treasure room. Their father certainly did not need the potions since Anders had the Paladin’s skills, which had the auras that could heal both health and mana.
While fighting the different varieties of goblins on the 20th floor of the Goblin’s Cave dungeon, Anna thought of what kind of strategy she could take during combat. Based on Anton’s descriptions, her brother’s strategy was just to cast spells nonstop while moving around using Anton’s Telekinesis and Teleport spell, as well as being protected by his multitude of defensive spells from his unique magic system.
Anna’s only defensive spell from her Sorceress Class was Frozen Armor. She did have the common defensive spells from her wizard system: Mage Armor, Shield, and Stoneskin. She did not like them so much because of their short duration. Still, they were useful enough, so she usually cast them during battles she thought she would need more defense. She planned to memorize more defensive spells, though, since, based on what she saw on her Sorceress skill tree, the Sorceress spells were mostly offensive.
At her current level, Anna couldn’t emulate the non-stop spellcasting tactic, so she planned to cast her Sorceress spells, and once her mana was low, she would switch to casting her wizard spells. During this delve, the only spells from her wizardry system that she had cast were the Mage Armor spell and the Stoneskin spell, and she mostly cast them when there were long-range goblins in the group of monsters they were facing.
Still, she was happy with her Frost Nova, Ice Blast, and Ice Bolt spells that she was using to kill multitudes of goblins. Every battle that they initiated did not last long, and because of that, her group members' stamina did not wane.
Thankfully, Anna’s classmates were wise enough to bring things that could entertain them since they were not doing anything but watching Anna fight the goblins. Anna’s three classmates brought several romance novels and fashion magazines from Anna’s family and copycats. Basically, fashion magazines suddenly sprouted among the noblewomen and rich merchant wives.
“Anna, I’m not going to join you in dungeon delving anymore! It’s so boring if you’re not going to let us fight,” Alethea mumbled during one of their breaks.
“I understand. Thanks so much for indulging me,” Anna replied.
Anna planned to continue delving into the dungeon since she truly wanted to level up her Sorceress class. She planned to speak with her teachers regarding allowing her to delve once or twice a month, together with her father’s mercenaries. She knew for a fact that Daniel, Ingrid, and some of the others who knew the secret of the Insight Spear would be thrilled to join her in delving into the dungeon because all of those under the Meditation Aura from the Insight Spear would have increased experience gain, making each one of them more powerful.
Not only that, she would be able to earn coins of her own from the loot that would come from the dungeon.
She planned to start delving into the first few floors of the high-level dungeon. She could not emulate her father, though, since the team that she would be a part of would probably not have a powerful healing class like her father’s Paladin Class.
Anna was a little let down that the wizard class did not have many healing spells. The healing spells that she was able to find were conditional spells like the Vampiric Touch, Life Transference, and Wither and Bloom. Once Anton returned, she would request an item that would allow her to use a potent healing ability.
