Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride
Chapter 1157 - 1152: Meeting the Parents (Part 1)
Sitting in the car, Sophia Hamilton looked reluctant. She hadn’t even had breakfast when her mom pushed her out, insisting she go back with this scumbag to meet the parents.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. She was no one to him, so why should she go home with him?
"Stop the car, I want to get out!" Sophia suddenly spoke up. Evander Lancaster glanced over with a smile and asked, "Get out? Where are you planning to go?"
"Anywhere is fine, I just won’t go with you to meet the parents!" Sophia said defiantly. Evander turned the steering wheel and said leisurely, "That’s fine, we can go to my apartment first, and I’ll feed you before going home, it’s not too late."
Sophia suddenly felt alarmed. No matter how she listened, it seemed like this rascal was implying something. She turned her head warily and said, "I’m not going to your apartment!"
Evander didn’t say anything more but laughed out loud.
The black Bentley sped through the city, with almost no houses visible ahead. The road was flanked by dense forests, and the traffic was much less congested.
"Where are you taking me?" Sophia asked unhappily. This rascal’s home better not be in another city, if it is, she won’t go with him. She had work tomorrow.
"Of course, we’re going home," Evander said nonchalantly.
"Where do you live?"
"You’ll know when we get there,"
Sophia...
Felt like he didn’t say anything at all.
"I have to work tomorrow, so I have to be back today!"
Evander glanced over at her, smiling ambiguously and said, "Relax, I don’t like staying at home either, it’s inconvenient."
Sophia suddenly turned back, damn it, anything that came out of his mouth made people think all sorts of things.
Meanwhile, at the Lancaster Family head’s small villa, Robert Lancaster was sitting on the sofa with his uncle, drinking tea and chatting. His wife, Mina Drake, was sitting on the carpet, coaxing their baby to build blocks.
Violet Zimmerman was wearing a pair of beige wide-leg pants matched with a long tang-style dress with bright red floral prints, a shawl draped over her shoulders, and her black hair neatly tied at the back. She was going in and out of the kitchen and living room, instructing the chef to prepare lunch.
"Grandma, play blocks with me," the little toddler sitting on the carpet said while fumbling with plastic blocks in his hands. Violet walked over, squatted beside her grandson, and gently patted his head, saying softly, "Be good, let Mommy play with you. Uncle will be back soon, Grandma still has things to do..."
"No, I want Grandma!" The little toddler threw the blocks in his hands and reached out for Violet. Mina Drake quickly picked up her son, "Be good, Grandma is very busy, Mommy will play with you..."
"No, I want Grandma..." The little toddler started throwing a tantrum without needing a reason, kicking his little legs towards Violet.
As Violet just picked up her grandson, Joseph Lancaster also got up from the sofa and walked over. He reached out to the child with a kind smile, saying, "Darling, want to play chess with Grandpa?"
The little one reached out for Joseph, "No, I want Grandpa to be a horse!"
"Darling, you can’t be naughty!" Robert Lancaster also walked over, but Joseph said nonchalantly, "It’s fine, my dear wants to ride a horse, then Grandpa will be the horse."
As he spoke, he had already lifted his grandson up onto his shoulders, holding his wrists as he jogged around the living room.
"Mom, look at Dad," watching the happy pair of grandfather and grandson, Robert said helplessly beside his mother. Violet glanced over at Mina who was tidying up toys and whispered, "It’s fine, your dad knows his limits."
