The King of Heaven, who had once didn’t like Devara and even clashed with him before knowing he was the son of Trimurti’s, was now standing before Lord Vishnu asking for that same young man’s help.

Lord Vishnu gave a small nod.

-Nod!

"I know."

The simple reply surprised none of them.

Indra immediately stepped forward again.

"My Lord... If anyone can reach Devara..."

"It is You. Please... Inform him of everything."

"Guide him."

"Convince him to stop Pushpasura before it’s too late."

"Only he possesses the destiny necessary to bring this calamity to an end."

For several moments...

Lord Vishnu simply looked at Indra.

"...."

Then...

A soft chuckle escaped his lips.

-Chuckle!

The sound puzzled nearly everyone present.

Even Narada tilted his head curiously.

Lord Vishnu looked at the worried faces surrounding him before speaking.

"There is no need."

Indra blinked hearing the words of Lord Vishnu.

"My Lord?"

"There is no need for Me to tell him."

Another gentle smile appeared on Lord Vishnu’s face.

"He has already made that decision himself."

Without another word, Lord Vishnu casually lifted one hand.

A tiny sphere of crystal-clear water floated above his palm.

At first it looked like nothing more than a drop of water suspended in the air.

Then ripples spread across its surface.

Moments later...

Images began appearing inside it.

The entire celestial assembly unconsciously stepped closer.

Within the water sphere...

The flower forest appeared.

They watched Devara standing alone before the summoned legion.

One after another, the Rakshasas charged.

The gods watched in silence as crimson flashes and heavenly lightning tore through the battlefield.

Every member of Pushpasura’s legion fell before him.

Even the commander...

The massive four-armed Rakshasa...

Was eventually erased beneath the wrath of divine lightning summoned through Amba Tejas.

Several gods couldn’t help exchanging astonished glances.

Even though they had heard of Devara’s strength...

Witnessing it with their own eyes was something entirely different.

The scene inside the water sphere continued changing.

Soon it showed the possessed cultist.

Pushpasura speaking through another man’s body.

His threats.

His arrogance.

His promise of revenge.

Then...

Devara’s calm reply.

His declaration that he intended to seek out Pushpasura himself.

Not after the Asura escaped.

Not after he gathered an army.

Before that.

He intended to hunt him down.

The vision slowly faded.

The water sphere dissolved back into countless droplets before disappearing entirely.

Silence filled the chamber.

Indra stood staring at the place where the vision had vanished.

Then...

A long sigh escaped him.

Relief. Pure relief.

"...."

He hadn’t realized how tense his body had become until that very moment.

At least one burden had been lifted from his shoulders.

Devara had already accepted the responsibility.

They no longer needed to convince him.

Lord Vishnu looked at the assembled gods with the same peaceful smile.

"As you have all seen..."

"My son has already chosen his path."

"No one compelled him."

"No one ordered him."

"He made the decision himself."

"And because it was his own decision..."

"He will see it through to the end."

The hall fell silent once again.

"...."

"...."

"...."

This time... Not because of fear.

But because every god present understood something.

The upcomming battle against Pushpasura... Had already took the path they wanted it to take.

The atmosphere inside Vaikuntha gradually returned to its usual serenity.

The vision created by Lord Vishnu had disappeared, yet the images remained fresh in every god’s mind.

None of them had expected Devara to have already crossed paths with Pushpasura’s followers, let alone destroy an entire legion before the Asura had even awakened.

Indra remained silent for several moments before folding his hands once again.

"My Lord... thank You."

There was genuine relief in his voice.

The burden that had weighed heavily upon his shoulders since Brihaspati’s prophecy now felt much lighter.

Devara had already stepped onto the path of his own accord.

There would be no need to convince him, nor would the heavens have to interfere and risk changing the flow of destiny.

Lord Vishnu simply smiled.

"The river has already chosen its course, Indra. There is no need to push it further."

Indra nodded respectfully.

"...."

He understood what the Lord Vishnu meant.

There were moments when even the gods had to trust destiny instead of trying to control it.

Turning toward the assembled Devas, Indra raised his hand.

"The assembly is dismissed."

"There is nothing more for us to discuss here."

"Each of us should prepare for whatever lies ahead."

One after another, the gods bowed respectfully toward Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.

Then they slowly began leaving the divine hall.

Surya was the first to depart, his radiant form disappearing into a stream of golden light.

Shani followed quietly without uttering a word.

Sandhya and Chhaya offered their respects before taking their leave.

Narada bowed with his usual cheerful smile, softly chanting,

"Narayana... Narayana..."

before vanishing toward another realm, undoubtedly eager to witness how destiny would unfold.

Brihaspati exchanged a meaningful glance with Lord Vishnu before following the others.

Soon the magnificent hall became quieter.

Only a handful of figures remained.

Lord Vishnu.

Goddess Lakshmi.

Goddess Ganga.

Goddess Bhudevi.

And, standing a short distance away, Goddess Yamuna.

Neither Ganga nor Bhudevi made any attempt to leave.

They remained exactly where they were.

Their expressions were calm...

But only on the surface.

Lord Vishnu looked at both of them for a long moment.

Then a gentle smile appeared on his face.

He understood without either of them saying a single word.

They were mothers before they were goddesses.

A mother never needed words to express her worries.

Goddess Lakshmi also looked toward the two goddesses with sympathy.

She knew exactly what they were feeling.

After all...

She too had begun thinking of Devara as her own child.

Finally, Ganga stepped forward.

"My Lord..."

Her usually calm voice carried an emotion that rarely appeared.

"We know..."

She paused for a moment.

"...we know our son has been entrusted with a great destiny."

Bhudevi continued where Ganga stopped.

"The opportunity to protect all the realms..."

"...to become the hero of such a great age..."

"...is an honour that very few beings will ever receive."

Her eyes softened.

"The bards of future generations will sing his name."

"Kings yet to be born will remember his deeds."

"Even the heavens will speak of the warrior who ended Pushpasura."

She smiled faintly.

There was pride in that smile.

The pride only a mother could feel.

"Our son has grown into someone worthy of such a responsibility."

For a brief moment, both mothers remained silent.

Then Ganga lowered her eyes.

"But..."

The single word carried far more weight than any speech.

Bhudevi let out a quiet sigh.

"We are still mothers."

Her voice became softer.

"The prophecy says he must battle Pushpasura for one hundred days."

"One hundred days..."

She slowly shook her head.

"No mother wishes to imagine her child fighting for even a single day."

"How then are we supposed to remain calm knowing he must endure a battle that long?"

Ganga looked toward Lord Vishnu.

"We know Pushpasura."

"We remember what happened during the last war."

"He is not an enemy that falls easily."

"Every victory against him demands a price."

Her voice trembled ever so slightly.

"We are proud..."

"So very proud..."

"But our hearts..."

She gently placed a hand over her chest.

"...cannot stop worrying."

"What mother wishes to see her son bleed?"

"What mother wishes to watch him suffer for one hundred days?"

The hall fell silent.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Even the gentle breeze flowing through Vaikuntha seemed to pause.

Lord Vishnu looked at both of them with warmth.

There was neither surprise nor concern in his eyes.

Only understanding.

After all...

He too was a father.

He slowly sat upright upon Adishesha’s divine couch.

His calm voice filled the hall.

"No parent wishes to see their child walk a difficult path."

"But some paths cannot be avoided."

He looked toward the endless skies beyond Vaikuntha.

"Destiny is not something created to punish."

"It is created to reveal who a person truly is."

His gaze returned to Ganga and Bhudevi.

"Pushpasura is not merely another enemy."

"He is a trial."

"A trial that has waited through centuries for the one capable of overcoming it."

Lord Vishnu smiled gently.

"Could I stop Devara from walking this path?"

"Yes."

"I could."

"I could intervene."

"I could end this before it even begins."

He paused.

"But if I did..."

"...I would also take away the opportunity for him to become the person he is destined to become."

Neither Ganga nor Bhudevi interrupted him.

They quietly listened.

"He is no longer the child who required others to fight his battles."

"He has begun creating his own path."

"He will stumble."

"He will be wounded."

"He will face hardships."

"But every step he takes will be his own."

Lord Vishnu’s expression softened.

"Do not think that he walks alone."

"We may not stand beside him with weapons in our hands..."

"...but neither will we abandon him."

"When the time is right..."

"We shall guide him."

"Not by removing every obstacle before him..."

"...but by helping him discover the strength to overcome them."

The two mothers slowly nodded.

Those words did not erase their worries.

Nothing could.

But they did bring comfort.

Knowing that their son would not truly be alone eased the burden in their hearts.

Lord Vishnu’s gaze then slowly shifted toward another figure who had remained quietly in the hall.

Goddess Yamuna.

Unlike the others, she had made no attempt to leave after the assembly ended.

She stood respectfully to one side, her eyes moving curiously between everyone present.

She wanted to speak with Devara’s mothers but seems like the attention was now on her

When she noticed Lord Vishnu looking at her, she folded her hands.

"My Lord?"

A mysterious smile appeared on Lord Vishnu’s face.

The kind of smile that usually meant he had already seen several moves ahead in the game of destiny.

"Yamuna."

She straightened immediately.

"Yes, Lord?"

"There is a reason you remained behind and I know it."

Yamuna blinked stunned with the question of did Lord Vishnu knew of her feeling for Devara.

She herself wasn’t entirely sure why she had stayed.

Something had simply urged her not to leave with the others.

Lord Vishnu continued.

"The path leading to Pushpasura..."

"...does not belong to Devara alone."

"It will cross the paths of many."

He looked at her kindly.

"And among them..."

"...is yours."

Yamuna looked genuinely surprised.

"My... path?"

Lord Vishnu nodded.

"There will come a time when your presence will become essential."

"A moment where only you can accomplish what needs to be done."

Lakshmi smiled knowingly but said nothing.

Ganga and Bhudevi exchanged curious glances.

"...."

"...."

Even they hadn’t expected Yamuna to play a role in the prophecy.

Yamuna hesitated before asking softly,

"My Lord..."

"What is it that I must do?"

Lord Vishnu merely smiled.

"The answer will reveal itself when the time arrives."

"If I tell you today..."

"...your heart will begin searching for that moment."

"And in doing so..."

"...you may unknowingly change the very destiny you are meant to fulfil."

Yamuna lowered her head respectfully.

"I understand."

Lord Vishnu’s smile widened slightly.

"Until then..."

"Simply continue being yourself."

"When destiny calls..."

"You will know."

Those simple words echoed gently through the peaceful halls of Vaikuntha.
