Their fight became intense. Krisha and her beast pet could actually keep up with Damian and two of his beast pets out of her defensive layer of ice energy.

Whenever Damian’s wooden sword or the Voltclaw Lynx’s claws were about to land at her body, an ice energy would manifest and slowed them down, giving Krisha a time to react—evading or parrying their attack.

At this point, it became a battle of attrition. It was obvious that Krisha was in the disadvantage as the difference between their minor rank showed. Krisha knew she had to find a way to end a battle before it wore her out.

Damian intensified the momentum of his sword swinging. He was exasperated after hitting nothing but mid-air, especially after his Mist-Splitting Line was disrupted because of Krisha’s defensive layer of ice energy.

He couldn’t fathom how it was possible. If he executed what Krisha did out of theory, his energy wouldn’t last.

With five inches above Krisha’s skin made out of defensive layer of ice energy, that alone was something any Commander Beast Tamer’s beast core couldn’t handle for seconds.

In other words, Krisha was consciously controlling her ice energy and only manifested a layer defensive layer of ice energy at the point of impact.

It wasn’t simply out of conscious control, it was a technique that Krisha mastered.

Unfathomable. Damian thought, in awe of Krisha’s strength. If only we are at the same rank, she might last longer than me. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Damian felt it was a pity, but it didn’t affect his desire to defeat Krisha after having his dearest gravely injured by her.

He was also aware that Krisha would soon had to make a decisive move and became more offensive in defeating him—one that he had been aiming in the first place.

He was weak when it came to being offensive. He had already trained his beast pets to be offensive on his stead, while he would be defensive against any sort of surprise attack.

If it wasn’t because his Shockfang Wolf was gravely injured and couldn’t stop Krisha in time, he might not need to step up on his place.

Suddenly, PengPeng made a decisive move. He glide in front of the Voltclaw Lynx after it stepped back when its attack failed again.

He summoned a light snowfall that swallowed the Voltclaw Lynx. The Coilshock Snake caught up with PengPeng and reached her tail to PengPeng’s limbs and were about to coil itself around him.

To her shock, she immediately responded to its master’s aid, as Krisha, whose body was facing the Voltclaw Lynx, suddenly twisted her body behind her and thrust at Damian with all her might.

She put everything into her attack—an immense and oppressive ice energy compressed at her wooden sword tip while it was bolting at Damian’s chest.

Damian quickly reacted and took the Rooted Horizon’s defensive stance. A cackling lightning energy appeared on the shallow water and touched Krisha’s feet.

Krisha bit her lower lip until blood seeped out and watched, with raging face, her wooden sword colliding with Damian, who attempted to intercept it instead of totally parrying it.

Damian was horrified that he couldn’t intercept it—his hands grasping his wooden sword suddenly went numb and he failed to fully stop Krisha’s wooden sword from reaching his chest.

As soon as the compressed ice energy touched his chest, it immediately spread around and entered inside his body.

The ice energy was about to freeze every nerves, lungs, and even his heart, but a hand suddenly grabbed his shoulder and expelled the ice energy before it harmed him greatly.

Master Shen arrived to his aid and smiled at the Coilshock Snake, who was about to coil its body around Krisha’s neck.

The Coilshock Snake didn’t release lightning energy to knock Krisha. It was slow—its master had been defeated first.

It fell into depression as Master Shen announced. "Krisha wins!"

The disciples, especially from the fan group erupted into deafening cheers. The cameraman, who was recording the duel and Master Shen’s announcement, pointed at them.

Every viewer, including the mayor, Lucia, and Felix’s family, were cheering at the top of their lungs.

The mayor lost his character and exploded into uproar while Lucia broke down into tears with a wide smile on the side.

The other significant figures, including Krisha’s uncle and auntie—those she grew up with—were as elated as Lucia.

Felix’s family, with Doctor Eleanor accompanying them inside the car to watch the duel in a small TV, were in the uproar as well, especially Sarah. It wasn’t as exaggerating as the Mayor’s room, but it was filled with cheers.

Sarah had already informed Mia that Krisha accompanied Felix when they visited her and Mia confirmed she recalled how Krisha and her beast pet entertained her when Felix and Doctor Eleanor left to discuss her cure.

Mia even praised Krisha’s beauty. She was glad she finally saw the beautiful face of her brother’s close friend.

The viewers across the Chambers City were cheering, even posting in social media, mentioning Krisha with congratulatory message.

Krisha, on the other hand, was not revealed to them that she had dropped her butt into the shallow water, spreading ripples around.

She was catching her breath, while strenuously turning her head to check PengPeng’s condition.

PengPeng was also visibly exhausted, but he still has stamina left to rest with his master.

He leaned his body on Krisha’s legs, while Krisha consumed what was left on her stamina to grab PengPeng and made her rest atop her lap.

She smiled at PengPeng and whispered, "W-We won." She huffed heavily.

Master Shen smiled at Krisha and turned towards Damian, who was staring at her.

He still has energy left, he could continue to fight, but he was already lost. All because he was careless as to have time pondering in the middle of the battle.

Damian turned towards his Shockfang Wolf and suddenly heard Master Shen’s voice.

"Don’t worry, he’s already recovering. He had expelled the ice energy earlier during the battle."

Damian was startled and turned towards Master Shen and bowed deeply.

"Thank you, Master Shen!"

Master Shen nodded.

He did not say anything anymore, letting Damian run towards his Shockfang Wolf with the Coilshock Snake and Voltclaw Lynx beside him...
