Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 105: Interview
Felix and Krisha were being ambiguous their current progress. Both of them were clearly aware they wanted to surprise each other, causing their conversation to be amusing.
Once they finished eating, they decided to saunter as usual around the Azure Cleave Dojo before deciding to proceed at the Beast Sync Arena.
As they descended on the stairs, they were surprised that Ben was waiting for them.
He greeted them with his usual enthusiastic smile and a greetings filled with vigor.
They then learned that Ben was instructed by Master Shen to accompany them while they were sauntering around the dojo and filled them up about what would occur later on.
Ben said, "The organizer decided to start the duel with Krisha and Damian before Felix and Jayden. There are also sponsors that donated their money, so even if both of you wins or lose, you’ll still earn money.
It’s approximately more than a million credits. After all, this has been the biggest event that the Chambers City has. I heard that the duel will be even broadcasted outside of Chambers City!"
Krisha glanced at Felix and as expected his eyes sparkled with money symbol.
Krisha rolled her eyes, but a light smile appeared on her face.
Ben continued, "This is because of you two’s growth, as well as the weekly news becoming the hottest topic nowadays.
I wish you all the best you two. Win or lose, you’ll still be the pride of the Chambers City!"
He exclaimed, while his eyes were lost in the skies, as though he imagined he was basking the achievements of Felix and Krisha.
Krisha said in an upset tone, "Why did you say it as though you’ve already expected us to lose?" She crossed her arms, clearly displeased.
Ben panicked. He stammered. "I-I didn’t mean it. As much as I want to say that you both already win, I don’t want to jinx it. I have higher hope in fact that you two will win."
"You’re trying to jinx it now," said Krisha.
Ben hurriedly covered his mouth, trembling.
Felix chuckled. "She’s just playing with you, Ben. By the way, thank you for letting us know."
Ben nodded.
He said, "Also, it’ll be quite disadvantageous, knowing your opponent already has idea about your abilities and strength, so Master Shen allowed me to share information about your opponent."
Ben’s eyes sparkled. He was excited that Master Shen had finally talked with him and the feeling continued to linger with him.
"Go on, say it," said Krisha.
Ben was startled awake. He hurriedly said, "Damian, your opponent, has his first beast pet—the Shockfang Wolf. He had lightning elemental affinity. Then, he has two other beast pet: the Voltclaw Lynx and a Coilshock Snake.
Jayden, on the other hand, has his first beast pet—the Ironclaw Cat. He has two other beast pet the Bladewing Hawk, and the Steelcoil Serpent.
Jayden’s elemental affinity with metal was the main reason why Damian couldn’t defeat him."
Felix and Krisha fell into silence. Their opponents’ beast pets gave them idea of the tactics they would employ later.
They could only silently sigh when they realized that the fact they had two less beast pets made them in a very dangerous position.
While they were lost in thought, Ben, who didn’t notice their contemplative state, laughed awkwardly and said, "That’s all the information I can provide."
"It’s fine. That’s more than enough. They specialized more on the Rooted Horizon, correct?"
Ben hurriedly nodded. He was astonished after Felix knew of their opponent’s battle style.
He said, "Inner disciples became more focused on Rooted Horizon and Falling Current Step. Of course, that is after the Mist-Splitting Line has been mastered. Hence, please be careful for our main core technique."
Felix nodded and thanked him. Krisha thanked him, as well, causing Ben to smile widely, feeling invigorated after knowing he helped them.
Afterwards, Ben chatted with them, especially about the inner disciples reactions, as well as the creation of fan group that focused on Felix and Krisha.
Ben even proudly declared he was a member of both.
Krisha even asked which fan group has higher number, but it turned out it was equal.
Felix chuckled and Krisha was a bit displeased.
After hours of walking, they finally decided to proceed to the Beast Sync Arena, where there was still an hour left before the duel would officially commence.
To their surprise, there were a lot of people in the perimeter. Most of them wore uniforms that doesn’t belong to the dojo, but from the name printer on their chest, it was obvious they were from the broadcasting network.
As soon as they saw Felix and Krisha, their face lit up, and a pretty woman holding a wireless microphone summoned her aerial beast pet and had its claws grabbed her shoulder to fly its beast master faster to their destination.
Ben hurriedly said, "I-Isn’t that Evangeline Erickson? The news reporter as well the journalist in VFX Network?"
Seeing his idol, Ben could barely control himself.
Although he was largely ignored by Evangeline who arrived in front of Felix and Krisha, his eyes continued to sparkle while stepping backward to give space for her.
Evangeline was gazing at Felix and Krisha with sparkling eyes.
Her eyes lingered longer to Felix though, causing Krisha to be quite displeased.
Evangeline said, "Greetings, Felix! I hope you’ve been informed about the interview prior to the duel.
The same for you, Miss Krisha. Is it okay to interview you first?"
Felix glanced at Krisha with a smile. His facial expression conveyed his anticipation on her interview.
Krisha noticed his gaze and felt a bit helpless. It has been a while since she was interviewed and, as much as she wanted to reject it, she nodded, in the end.
Evangeline was excited. With her soothing aura and amiable attitude, Krisha instantly felt comfortable with her.
Felix and Ben watched Krisha being interviewed by Evangeline and her cameraman.
Felix was lost in Krisha’s beauty. He made no effort to hide the intensity of his gaze, staring at Krisha as if she were the most beautiful creation in existence.
Krisha was a bit distracted by Felix’s gaze, but she didn’t not once glance at him, afraid she’d break his stare.
She enjoyed it for a bit, causing her smile to be more radiant and his voice to be more pleasant and melodious.
Evangeline was deeply satisfied, as a result.
