The Tongling Mirror within Ye Fan could detect the presence of any Spiritual Body.

"Oh, mortal, why have you brought me back? You have taken away everything down there, what more do you covet?" The underground guardian asked in a very honest and heavy tone.

"I merely want to go down and take a look, to understand some matters!"

Ye Fan brought the underground guardian back over the Dead Sea. By now, it was night, and darkness surrounded the Dead Sea. In such a place, not even starlight could be seen.

"If you want to go down, it’s best not to go through here. Otherwise, you’ll have to go through those caves again. It’s troublesome, and I don’t want to go with you!" The cave guardian said.

Ye Fan nodded, realizing a key issue was that the mechanisms of the underground cave could no longer be restored. After all, the elemental powers in the altar had been absorbed by the five small crystals within him, and those elemental origin powers couldn’t regenerate.

"Is there anywhere else we can go down?" Ye Fan asked.

"Oh, you are a human, without other means. But if I were to go down, I’d have many ways to do so!" The underground guardian said, transforming into countless small spiritual bodies that rushed downward beneath the Death Sea.

Ye Fan couldn’t follow him down because only in Spiritual Body form could one enter the caves in such a manner.

"Master, he’s about to run. Should I bring him back?" The Little Red Crystal was very displeased with the cave guardian, emerging from Ye Fan’s storage ring, she pointed in the direction the cave guardian was leaving and shouted.

"No need," Ye Fan said. "This is his homecoming, and if we stop him from returning home, then we would be in the wrong!"

Just then, the cave guardian reassembled into a sizable spiritual body and returned. His voice sounded quite dejected, "Red little one, you’re really causing trouble for no reason. Ye Fan stayed silent, waved an arm, and the ocean of the Dead Sea was pulled apart by a surge of strong spiritual energy. A massive whirlpool appeared on the water’s surface. Sang Yuan and Ling had been to the Death Sea underground caves before, they had a general understanding of what lay below.

Ye Fan, accompanied by the cave guardian, along with Sang Yuan and Ling, descended into the caves beneath the Dead Sea.

They were again on the first level. Ye Fan walked on foot, and upon reaching the first level, saw that the illusions had completely vanished, and even the altar was in ruins. Ye Fan recalled things looked different when he last came. He speculated that perhaps when Xi He, Jiuyou Su Girl, and Liu Ye pursued them, they caused another wave of destruction here.

The following levels from the second to the sixth were the same as before, with no elemental forces guarding the cave. Instead, some cultivator’s artifacts were found scattered throughout the cave, as if after Ye Fan, Xi He, and others left, ordinary cultivators came down to check the situation. But none of these people could leave safely, Ye Fan could even sense a residual spiritual energy in the air.

This indicated that these cultivators who came "tomb robbing" very likely were torn apart by some force; their bodies left no remains, only the traces of spiritual energy they had cultivated serving as their sole evidence of ever existing in this world.
