Chapter 777 – The First Dual-sin Incubus

Asmo watched with open fascination. "Ah..." The Lust Lord leaned forward. "There it is."

Lux stopped at the base of the throne. "What?"

Asmo’s grin sharpened. "Balance."

Lux blinked.

Asmo tapped the air between them. "For two centuries you were only Greed. I cried every night because of it."

Lux nodded slowly.

He knew that was complete nonsense.

His Eye of Truth had already quietly confirmed it in the corner of his vision.

Lux folded his arms. "You did not cry."

Asmo placed a dramatic hand over his chest. "Lux, you wound me."

Lux pinched the bridge of his nose.

Why did every conversation with Lust House feel like a theater performance written by drunk playwrights?

Asmo suddenly clapped his hands. "Anyway!"

Lux’s survival instincts immediately activated.

That tone meant chaos.

The Lust Lord rose from the throne in one smooth movement, eight-pack flexing like it had its own personality.

Lux refused to look at it. He stared at the wall instead.

"Come."

Lux blinked. "Where?"

Asmo smiled. "The ancestral chamber."

Lux froze. His brain replayed the sentence like a bad financial forecast.

"...The what?"

"The ancestral incubus chamber," Asmo clarified cheerfully.

Lux stared at him. "No."

Asmo tilted his head. "No?"

"No."

Asmo blinked slowly.

Lux held his ground. "That’s for full-blood Lust heirs."

"Correct."

"I am not that. I’m a half. Half Greed."

Asmo shrugged. "But you are still a royal lust."

"Still half." Lux stared at him like a man explaining accounting to a toddler. "That is not how heritage sanctums work."

Asmo leaned against the throne. "Lux."

Lux did not like the tone. "Hmm."

"You woke the domain. That means the domain recognizes you."

Lux frowned. "That could be temporary."

Asmo raised one eyebrow. "You triggered the first activation in nearly a century." He pointed toward the chamber doors behind the throne, smirking. "So we should investigate."

Lux hesitated.

He didn’t like unknown variables.

Or Asmo’s smirk.

He especially didn’t like mystical heritage rooms that could potentially melt his soul if the compatibility check failed.

Lux’s eye twitched.

Asmo walked closer.

The pheromones intensified slightly, but Lux’s newly awakened Lust sigils absorbed the pressure easily.

Asmo circled him once like a cat inspecting a suspiciously tall kitten. "Hmm."

Lux did not move.

"You smell different."

Lux grimaced. "That is called cologne."

"No," Asmo said. "That is called awakened incubus blood."

Lux sighed. "I had a stressful night. Or a good one."

"Oh, I know."

Lux blinked. "...You heard?"

Asmo grinned. "The awakening echoed."

Lux froze, looked horrified. "You mean the entire Lust House could feel that?"

Asmo shrugged. "Only the older bloodlines." He clapped him on the shoulder. "Which is why we go to the chamber."

Lux lowered his hand slowly. "...Explain."

Asmo turned toward a massive set of double doors at the back of the throne room.

Black crystal.

Carved with ancient sigils.

"These doors have not opened for nearly a hundred years. You woke what’s behind them. So now we confirm what woke up."

Lux looked at the doors.

Then back at Asmo.

Then back at the doors.

Then back at Asmo.

"...This is how mortal horror movies start."

Asmo beamed. "Exactly!"

Lux did not move. "I am not convinced."

Asmo leaned in closer. "Lux. You are the first incubus in generations who carries two ruling sins."

Lux said nothing.

"You have Greed. And Lust." Asmo’s smile softened slightly. "You are not half."

Lux blinked. "What?"

"You are dual."

Lux stared at him. "That is not a recognized category."

"Because no one else has done it."

Lux looked skeptical. "You are telling me I am the first dual-sin incubus." His disbelief was clear.

Asmo nodded proudly. "Yes."

Lux pointed at the doors. "And you want me to walk into the mystical legacy chamber of the Lust bloodline while carrying Greed."

"Yes."

He cringed. Really cringed. "That sounds like a terrible idea."

Asmo leaned back. "That sounds like an experiment."

Lux sighed deeply. "Of course it does."

Asmo turned toward the doors again. "Come."

Lux stayed where he was.

Asmo paused.

Then slowly turned his head.

Lux gestured at the doors. "That room probably contains ancient magic. So before entering, we need risk assessment."

Asmo stared.

Lux raised one finger. "Step one."

Asmo already looked tired.

Lux calmly reached into his dimensional inventory and pulled out a small, faceted crystal. It shimmered faintly with layered spatial inscriptions.

Asmo squinted. "...What is that?"

Lux crouched and placed it carefully on the floor just outside the ancestral doors. "My saved point."

Asmo blinked. "Your what?"

"In case they want to kill me."

Asmo stared at him. "You brought a respawn anchor."

Lux straightened up, dusting off his coat sleeves. "Yes."

Asmo pinched the bridge of his nose. "You are in the Lust ancestral chamber, not a dungeon raid."

Lux pointed at the crystal. "I prefer contingency."

Asmo shook his head slowly. "Still an overthinking CFO."

Lux gave him a flat look. "Whatever. I don’t want to die young."

Asmo snorted. "You’re over two hundred."

"That’s mid-career."

Asmo burst out laughing. "Fine. Keep your little safety rock."

Lux patted the crystal once. "Good rock."

Then the two of them approached the massive black crystal doors.

The sigils along the surface began to glow brighter as Lux stepped closer. Not pink. Not red.

Crimson-black.

Deep.

Hungry.

Asmo placed one hand on the door. "Ready?"

Lux inhaled.

Exhaled.

"No."

Asmo grinned. "Perfect."

The doors opened.

Not outward.

Not inward.

They dissolved.

Like ink dispersing into water.

And beyond...

There was no throne.

No silk.

No perfume.

No decadence.

The ancestral chamber was vast and circular, carved from obsidian stone that seemed older than Hell itself. The ceiling disappeared into shadow. The air was heavy, thick with something ancient.

There were no decorations.

No banners.

No carvings.

Just power.

Pure, condensed Lust power.

It pressed against Lux’s skin instantly.

Not seductive.

Not playful.

Suffocating.

His breath hitched slightly.

The system flared violently in his vision.
