Chapter 408: Hidden Arena
After the Shadow Attendant possessed the Nitro’s body, its power increased dramatically.
Even though it couldn’t fully unleash the White Nitro’s Power, it was still incredibly strong, wielding just forty to fifty percent of it.
In terms of combat prowess, it had definitely reached the peak of Tier Six.
This was true for both its speed and Power.
After careful consideration, Li Wei decided to send out the Shadow Attendant, disguised as the White Nitro, to eliminate the other contestants.
It was a way to reduce the number of competitors.
Having received Li Wei’s command, the Shadow Attendant controlled the Nitro’s body and walked off into the distance.
After a while, the Shadow Attendant gradually adapted to the Nitro’s Power and speed.
It moved faster and faster.
Suddenly, it was as if it had vanished into thin air.
Li Wei’s eyes twitched, and a faint smile crossed his lips.
The Shadow Attendant had successfully activated the Nitro’s Silent Domain.
Without the Silent Domain, the success rate of the Nitro’s attacks would drop significantly.
’From the looks of it, the Shadow Attendant can probably use sixty to seventy percent of the Nitro’s power.’
’That’s more than enough to deal with most of the contestants.’
Li Wei looked forward to the Shadow Attendant bringing back good news.
After dealing with the White Nitro, Li Wei could finally focus on his Cultivation in peace.
He meditated to restore his Mana.
At Li Wei’s direction, the Shadow Attendant, posing as the White Nitro, cleared a wide circle around the area.
Li Wei didn’t encounter a single challenger all day.
Anyone who got close would be attacked by the Shadow Attendant.
Few could defeat the Shadow Attendant while it possessed the Nitro’s body.
It was already an impressive feat just to escape one of its attacks.
Li Wei stood up and looked into the distance.
’The Sun is setting.’
As the sun set in the west, the sky filled with crimson clouds.
Fiery clouds decorated the sky like blazing, crimson blossoms.
Li Wei’s gaze sharpened as he noticed a change in the fiery clouds.
He stared intently and saw that the clouds were arranging themselves into a circle.
Li Wei stared at the center of the circle.
’A natural phenomenon? Or is something there?’
After a moment’s thought, Li Wei flew into the sky.
Once high in the air, Li Wei could see that the center of the fiery clouds was the stone bridge between the Twin Peaks.
Something occurred to Li Wei.
Without a second thought, he flew quickly towards the stone bridge.
When he arrived at the edge of the stone bridge, a few figures were already there.
Li Wei wasn’t the only one who had noticed the strange sight in the sky.
As he neared the stone bridge, Li Wei saw bands of red light descending from the fiery clouds.
They looked like the silk ribbons of celestial maidens drifting down to the mortal world.
These bands of light looked like a mere illusion caused by the refraction of water vapor.
But Li Wei’s instincts told him it wasn’t nearly that simple.
He felt spatial fluctuations coming from nearby.
Li Wei glanced at the Space Mage in the center of the small group. He was casting Space Magic.
Under the influence of the Space Magic, the descending bands of light all converged on the center of the stone bridge.
There was a hole there.
It looked like an ordinary hole in the stone.
But when the red bands of light from the fiery clouds shone upon it,
the hole began to emit a red glow.
The red light spread rapidly outward from the hole, forming a massive, circular Magic Array in the blink of an eye.
When Li Wei saw the familiar Magic Array, he froze for a moment.
’This is... a challenge arena!’
Li Wei was stunned. He hadn’t expected the center of the stone bridge to be a hidden arena.
The Space Mage who had activated the hidden arena instantly teleported onto it.
He claimed the arena, becoming its champion.
Upon seeing the effects of the hidden item, a look of shock—genuine surprise—appeared on the Space Mage’s face.
Seeing his expression, Li Wei and the others grew curious.
What could he have possibly seen?
After all, he hadn’t even looked surprised when the hidden arena first appeared.
What could possibly have astonished him so much?
Burning with curiosity, someone stepped forward, wanting to find out what was going on.
They prepared to issue a challenge.
RUMBLE!
Suddenly the entire stone bridge trembled.
Everyone was thrown off balance, swaying from side to side and threatening to fall.
At this, Li Wei simply flew into the sky,
leaving the ground to avoid falling over.
Once airborne, he saw the water level in the strait rising.
A thoughtful look crossed Li Wei’s face; he seemed to have guessed what was coming next.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Columns of seawater shot toward the sky.
The water columns surrounded the stone bridge, forming a barrier and creating a huge arena.
THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!
Massive Sea Beasts began to emerge from the water, lumbering toward the shore.
Their colossal bodies radiated an intense, oppressive aura.
And yet, at this very moment, their faces were masks of terror and panic.
As if they were fleeing for their lives.
Li Wei stared into the distance, murmuring, "It’s here."
A figure slowly emerged from the sea.
The massive, bird-like beak on its face revealed its identity.
A giant Nitro.
The twenty-meter-tall Nitro, despite looking much smaller than the Sea Beasts,
terrified every single one of them.
They scrambled over one another to get away from it.
The Nitro walked towards the stone bridge.
One deliberate step at a time.
The Space Mage on the bridge looked horrified. He instinctively glanced around, as if searching for help.
The Nitro’s display last night had left a terrifying impression on everyone.
Li Wei looked at the Nitro’s left arm.
Its severed left arm was fully restored, and its body bore no trace of any wounds.
In less than a day, the Nitro’s injuries had completely healed, and it had returned to its peak condition.
Li Wei had witnessed the White Nitro’s incredible Life Force before.
So this didn’t come as a surprise.
It was predictable: if this Nitro couldn’t be killed,
its power would only grow more and more terrifying.
Ultimately, the Nitro stopped at the edge of the arena on the bridge, not stepping within its bounds.
It stared at the person on the arena from a distance.
Then it turned and walked towards the nearest arena in another direction.
It was going to start hunting for Purple Star Stones again.
The Space Mage saw the Nitro leave and breathed a sigh of relief.
The others also relaxed after seeing the Nitro walk away.
"Oh no, why is it heading that way!"
a Summoner exclaimed in alarm.
His companion was occupying an arena in that direction.
He hastily summoned a Flying Summoned Beast and flew toward the arena, intending to warn his companion.
The remaining people exchanged glances. Some backed away, while others stepped forward to challenge the arena’s champion.
Li Wei was also curious about the hidden item.
He stood to one side, observing the fight.
The challenger was an Illusionist.
The moment the Illusionist stepped onto the platform, a Void Chain shot out and bound him.
POOF!
When the Void Chain struck the Illusionist’s figure, it dissolved into nothing, dissipating into the air.
The Space Mage was not surprised.
He directed the Void Chain to sweep out and wrap around a seemingly empty spot.
An Illusionist could deceive the Space Mage’s vision and senses.
But they couldn’t hide the effect their own body had on the surrounding space.
It was like standing on soft sand—the sand would inevitably be depressed.
Similarly, the Illusionist caused a "dent" in the surrounding space.
The depression was minuscule; only someone with an extremely high Space Perception Ability could possibly notice it.
