Fated love: the unwanted bride - Chapter 2225: Little One, Don’t Tattle When We Get Home!
The sun was setting.
The puddles from last night’s rain had dried completely, leaving no trace of rainfall, but the leaves by the roadside appeared more vibrant than before.
Butler Santana finished tidying up the house and helped Jasmine Yale knit little socks for her baby.
This little one was conveniently going to be born in winter, and she and Jasmine Yale had been preparing winter clothes for quite a while.
Socks and sweaters for the little one could indeed be purchased, but Butler Santana volunteered to knit some to spend time.
The bamboo basket already contained several pairs of baby socks in bright colors, looking quite beautiful.
Butler Santana was concentrating on knitting the socks.
Unexpectedly, Jasmine Yale woke up after a short nap.
"Butler Santana, I can’t sleep anymore," she said, rubbing her sleepy eyes and emerging in slippers.
"Then let’s not sleep, the weather is great today, shall we go out for a walk? I heard there’s a sea lion show in the park."
"A show, huh? I’m not a child anymore, maybe I shouldn’t watch it," Jasmine Yale chuckled.
"Halloween is coming, there’s a buzz everywhere. Yesterday, I walked around the streets and saw lots of those fun pumpkin lanterns, so interesting," Butler Santana said with a smile, "this Halloween, we’ll go out and have fun too."
"Hmm," Jasmine Yale nodded, "now that you mention it, I’m quite looking forward to it."
"Indeed, Miss Yale, do you want to buy a pumpkin lantern? If so, we can go get one."
"Alright, let’s consider it as buying it for the baby."
"Miss Yale, speaking of which, you haven’t come up with a nickname for the baby yet, have you?"
Jasmine Yale shook her head: "No..."
"No rush, no rush, take your time. Miss Yale’s child will definitely be beautiful and well-behaved. Look at me, I’m even more excited than you."
Jasmine Yale had a faint smile on her face.
Perhaps because she just woke up, there was a flush on her cheeks like blossoming rouge.
She went back to the bedroom and changed into an outfit: a loose black knit dress, an off-white long coat, and deep brown shallow leather shoes.
After coming out, she sat beside Butler Santana to watch her knit socks.
"So adorable!" she exclaimed, picking one up, joyful and delighted.
"Absolutely, tomorrow I’ll knit a hat for the little one," Butler Santana said, putting down the work. "Let’s go, let’s take a walk."
Butler Santana noticed Jasmine Yale was feeling emotional, but it had subsided a bit since before dinner, possibly due to the nap.
Outside, the sunlight was bright but not harsh.
Jasmine Yale wore a pale yellow wide-brimmed hat, and the sunlight elongated her silhouette, extended it longer.
Not far from their community, there was a park.
The park wasn’t large, but it was sufficient for a stroll.
Jasmine Yale didn’t speak much, just walked step by step on the shadows of the trees.
Occasionally, encountering a couple of pregnant women, Jasmine Yale would chat with them.
However, she preferred sitting on a bench, watching the children bounce around.
Her baby... will be this adorable, too.
The park in autumn was also colorful, not inferior to spring; the autumn sun was radiant, the potted plants interesting, even the lawns were a pleasing light yellow.
A group of kids were flying kites, playing.
"My kite is the highest, mine is the highest!"
"My kite is the prettiest."
"My balloon is the most beautiful!"
The children were noisy and lively, full of fun.
"The swing is mine, don’t fight with me."
"Brother, you’re bullying me."
"Little one, don’t tattle when we get home!"
Jasmine Yale watched a pair of siblings fighting over the swing, laughed, her eyes shimmering with light.
