Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me - Chapter 224: Wound
"I just want to see her..." ’Just to see for myself that she’s okay...’
"She doesn’t want to see you, Tristan Grayson, so give it up. Don’t you ever come and harass our Mika again."
Hearing Archie Summers’s words, Tristan Grayson was suddenly at a loss. In the past, he could have assertively told Archie Summers that this was his woman, his wife, and questioned why he couldn’t go in to see her. But now, he had no right to say such a thing.
’He was the one who pushed her out of his world with his own two hands...’
Tiana couldn’t bear to see Tristan’s pained expression. "Archie," she pleaded, "please just let my brother see her. We’re all so worried about her."
"Enough! You Graysons can spare me the act. Don’t think I don’t know what you’re really up to. If Mika wasn’t pregnant, would you even remember she existed?"
Startled by Archie’s shouting, Tiana started to cry. "Archie, you must have some misunderstanding about us! We’re all genuinely worried about her."
"Tiana, that’s enough," Tristan Grayson said in a low voice, his brow furrowed. "Let’s go."
"Brother..."
Tristan wearily turned and walked away.
Tiana watched Tristan walk away, then glanced back as Archie Summers shut the door to the hospital room with a cold expression. Biting her lip, she wiped away her tears and turned to hurry after Tristan Grayson.
After shutting the door, Archie Summers turned to see that Mika Summers was awake, staring blankly at the ceiling.
"Mika, did we wake you?" Archie Summers asked, his chest tightening with worry. "Are you still feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"
Mika Summers looked away from the ceiling and turned to Archie Summers. She gently shook her head as a tear slid down her cheek. "Brother, I’m sorry..."
"Silly girl." Archie Summers walked to her bedside. Looking at her pale face, his eyes filled with endless affection and heartache.
KNOCK... KNOCK... Just then, the door opened from the outside, and Louise Jordan came in with a nurse.
Archie Summers stood up, glanced at the nurse, and said in a harsh voice, "Be gentle when you change her dressing."
The nurse nodded. "Yes, rest assured."
Only after hearing what he wanted to hear did Archie Summers relax and step out of the room.
A few moments later, Louise Jordan opened the door. "Boss, her dressing is changed. Miss Summers said you can come in."
"Alright."
As soon as Archie Summers walked in, he heard Mika Summers’s weak voice. "Brother, take off your shirt and let the nurse treat your wound, too."
Archie Summers raised a questioning eyebrow. "Hm? A wound?"
"The one from when I bit you... during my episode."
A shadow flickered in Archie Summers’s eyes, but he quickly waved his hand with feigned nonchalance. "I’m fine, it doesn’t need to be treated. You two can leave."
"Yes, sir."
Archie Summers sat on the edge of the bed. After a moment of thought, he spoke in a low voice. "Mika, once you’ve recovered, let’s leave."
"Leave?"
"Yes. I’ll take you abroad. We’ll go to Austerra. I’m sure you’ll love it there."
A desolate look filled Mika Summers’s eyes. She curved her lips into a faint, sad smile and whispered, "Okay..." ’In the past, the last person she ever wanted to rely on was her brother. She had always felt like a burden, a stain on the Summers Family. But now, for the sake of her child, she had no choice but to depend on him.’
Archie Summers gave a gentle smile and raised his hand to ruffle Mika Summers’s hair. "Go to sleep. Get some rest and don’t think about anything. I’m here now. Everything will be okay."
