"Anyway, since you didn’t attend my daughter’s first birthday party, there she is," Azazel gestured toward Arianna, who was walking calmly with a few people around her.

"Her name is Arianna Haellight. Beautiful and cute, isn’t she?" Azazel boasted as he naturally doted on his daughter, who had her mother’s face and eyes.

Azaron followed Azazel’s gaze, his eyes landing on Arianna. He had to admit it, she had her mother’s face and eyes, but he simply made no comment.

"Speaking of which, I heard your last kid failed his awakening twice," Azazel spoke as he suddenly remembered. Although people didn’t dare say it to Azaron’s face, Azazel could. They were friends after all.

But Azazel wasn’t making fun of Azaron. Instead, he had a totally different thought. "I’m sure with your ridiculous bloodline and abilities, your child will break the shackles that bind those who awaken at the third awakening," he stated as he spoke with complete confidence.

He had fought Azaron twice to know that such a man couldn’t give birth to the trash people were talking about.

Azaron, whose face had been expressionless, couldn’t help but smile at those words. Although he hardly cared about people’s opinions, it was nice to hear something different from the usual for a change.

"Hoo!!! Look, my Arianna looked at your son," Azazel spoke again, the conversation seeming one-sided at this point, as Azaron hadn’t replied to a single thing he said.

Although Arianna and Asher had stared into each other’s eyes for only a moment, to people of Azaron and Azazel’s calibre, the timeframe was simply different.

"Has your son already stolen my daughter’s heart? After all, she hasn’t looked at any man before," Azazel joked with a small laugh as he shook his head.

"If your daughter falls in love so easily, then maybe you should educate her more," Azaron finally replied as he sipped his wine, his eyes fixed on Asher for a moment.

"Imagine if they become actual lovers. Wouldn’t that make us go from best friends to in-laws?" Azazel spoke as he smirked at Azaron.

Azaron sighed as he spoke, "You always saying we are best friends sounds so weird. Besides, instead of them becoming lovers, you should be worried about your daughter’s beautiful face when she meets my son. Unfortunately, my son doesn’t discriminate or hesitate when he fights against women," he sighed as he spoke.

Azazel smirked at Azaron’s words as he replied, "Your son is the one who should be worried. Haven’t you heard the rumours about my daughter’s talent?" He shook his head as he spoke. "Although I understand you Wargraves are monsters, you forget I’m a man who is evenly matched against a Wargrave. And as my daughter, Arianna has inherited my talent and even more, so she won’t be matching any of your children, but eclipsing them instead," he boasted, his tone filled with pride.

And why wouldn’t his voice be filled with pride? What father wouldn’t be proud if their daughter was simply that talented?

"You seem to forget our last battle was over a century ago, and I’m guessing you don’t want to challenge me anymore because you know you would lose," Azaron replied as a smirk found its way onto his lips. "And as for your daughter matching my son, the day after tomorrow shall tell. No need to waste words boasting," he stated. After all, no one knew of Asher’s strength more than him and Malrik.

And that strength was from months ago. Who knew how much stronger his last son had grown yet again?

Azaron was already prepared to bask in their shocked expressions.

Azazel said nothing after hearing Azaron’s words. They were both proud fathers; there was no need to argue about it.

With that, time flew by as Azaron and Azazel continued to talk without anyone coming to interrupt them. Many people were surprised, as they had never seen Azaron talk this much, and as for Azazel, the man was simply a talker, so no one was surprised.

"Ohhh... looks like trouble is brewing. Finally, the strength of youth is showing, and it seems your son is at the centre of it," Azazel stated as he immediately noticed Asher being confronted by three people. As a Crownstar Life Ranker, he could perfectly hear what was happening despite the distance separating him from the location of the ongoing "event."

Hearing Azazel’s words, Azaron’s golden eyes snapped toward Asher as he listened to what was happening. Through their conversation alone, he already understood the gist of it.

Nobody was surprised. Things like this usually happened at every event, ball, or gala of this scale, so people had become accustomed to it by this point. Still, they always looked forward to it whenever it involved members of major families. And right now, it was a show between two Ducal families from two different Empires.

"Yo!!! Adam, your sons are challenging Azaron’s kid," Azazel immediately called out, drawing the attention of everyone on the upper floor, including Adam Zarik, the Duke of the Ducal Zarik Household.

Hearing his name and Azaron’s name in the same sentence, Adam Zarik’s eyes immediately narrowed as he frowned, his senses snapping toward the children. The moment he saw Hilton, Maximus, and Hilton’s lapdog confronting Asher, he felt like going down to the lower floor and slapping the living crap out of his sons himself.

He had told the butler to tell Hilton to stay away and not confront the kid. He had already guessed Hilton would make a move, and he had tried to contain it. He could never have guessed that Hilton would disobey a direct order in the name of protecting the family name and face.

Adam Zarik’s eyes shifted toward Azaron. He saw the man wearing an expression carved from stone, which he had already expected. Then his eyes shifted toward Malrik, who was leaning against a wall and watching the situation with keen interest.

Many Nobles sent various glances toward Adam, unable to help but pity him. Although Malrik hadn’t attacked any of them before, they had all heard that the boy was obsessive about his siblings. Although the Zarik Family might gain a bit of influence if Hilton put the Asher kid down, but at what cost was that?

Would Hilton even be alive by tomorrow? No, tomorrow seemed too far away. According to the rumours, Malrik seemed like the kind of guy who would begin his bloodbath here and now.

And just like how Kimberley had sneaked away when trouble came to Asher, other Nobles who had been discussing and laughing with Duke Adam immediately took a step back. Nobody wanted to be labelled as the Duke’s friend by mistake and be attacked too.

As for everyone else, this was simply a source of entertainment and also a way to finally assess whether Asher was truly as weak as he was said to be. And if he was trash, just how much of a trash was he? Or was the entire story nothing but a lie?

This was the perfect place to find out. A great deal of information could be gathered from a single confrontation. Those who didn’t have any wine, plates of fruit, or refreshments in their hands immediately grabbed some. No way were they going to watch this unfold without appropriate food to accompany the spectacle.
