Chapter 1188: Chapter 1189: Grand World

"Grand World!"

Dimensional Esophagus, Green toyed with the black sphere in his hand, murmuring with low excitement.

Countless epochs ago, the Guyak civilization’s army arrived at the Dimensional Esophagus, experiencing the same dimensional war and ultimately meeting the same fate of destruction.

However, unlike others, the highly intelligent Guyak civilization seemed to have predicted this inevitable and despairing outcome based on the history of numerous annihilated civilizations in the Material World. To confront this unavoidable doom, they finally devised a method to combat the creatures outside the box.

That method was to build a sanctuary and create a brand new box inside the box!

On one hand, we can say they succeeded, but on the other hand, it can also be said they failed.

On the successful side, this Grand World indeed mimicked some aspects of a lower dimension’s capabilities. It even managed to escape the effects of repeated dimensional wars, avoiding erasure by destiny and the Heavenly Dao, allowing the bloodline of the Guyak civilization to continue, carrying the legacy of saving lost creatures even until today within the Grand World.

On the failure side, this Grand World stood powerless against the Truth of Destiny outside the Endless World Box. It was merely akin to a mouse digging a hole in the Endless World and surviving in agony.

Nonetheless, even just for that, the Guyak civilization could laugh proudly amidst the vast, smoky history of the Endless World.

The Dimensional Esophagus is full of bones, countless war clans. The treasures accompanying civilization’s legacies are innumerable, yet they ultimately cannot escape being digested by the Endless World. That the Grand World continues to be passed down, evading the digestion by the Endless World and escaping destiny’s erasure, is truly astonishing.

"Hiss... First the Light of the Balance Lever Rule, now the civilizational legacy of the Grand World. No wonder those ultimate beings yearn to explore the Illusory World! These supreme artifacts crucial enough to form the foundation of a civilization have fallen into my hands first. Although there lurks hidden risks, without enough wisdom and luck, the slightest negligence would only lead to death. Moreover, if I can perfectly combine both as the staff head and body, the most basic materials for the Truth Lever Magic Wand have been found!"

Nevertheless, Green was only briefly excited for a moment.

Adding this time in the Grand World, Green had ventured three times into the Illusory World and successfully escaped each time, confident in his wisdom and luck to safely extricate himself from the Streamlight Retrospect Dimensional Gullet Illusion, yet he would not forget Xiao Ba’s words.

The deeper illusions are abundant with treasures, and greedy powerful beings keep venturing, yet they never consider that they too are merely treasures in the eyes of future generations.

If he cannot escape this deep illusory world, all that Green gained would be meaningless and would eventually be digested by the Endless World, possibly sacrificing everything he possesses.

Flying over this swamp, Green alone continued moving towards the direction indicated by the Hope Light Shroud.

With the Grand World and Light of the Balance Lever Rule, coupled with Green’s respectable foundational strength, it seemed sufficient to protect himself in this Dimensional Esophagus. Whether he could successfully escape from the illusion or not, at least he could potentially find the corpse of the Sovereign of the Light of Hope and the unknown object guided by the Scepter of Hope.

However, in this deep, illusory world where even a Dominator might unexpectedly fall, even the most absurd and bizarre things can happen at any moment!

Given that Green was able to acquire the Light of the Balance Lever Rule and the Grand World, much was due to Green’s Wisdom of the Wizard. Yet, it indirectly indicated that within the Dimensional Esophagus, quirky and bizarre dangers will appear randomly, much like the chance of acquiring these treasures.

...

Thirty years passed.

Through the Hope Light Shroud, Green seemed to vaguely sense a call from the distance as he got closer to the corpse of the Sovereign of the Light of Hope.

In this Dimensional Esophagus, filled with terrifying monsters and disasters from various world clusters of the Endless World, even as Green camouflaged himself wearing the Robe of Appearances, he was still recognized several times, each time encountering strong beings among Level Six Creatures formidable enough to counter the Trick Crystal Terminator Elite.

Nevertheless, acquiring the Grand World, Green activated the black sphere, twisting time and space to easily "rescue" them, akin to the past despair faced by the Gourd Monster, Cactus Monster, Cyclops Creature, Variegated Giant Octopus, and Green himself, unable to escape.

Even more despairing is the fact that the Grand World has been acquired by an external controller. Even if they possessed rule knowledge like Green did, they stand no chance of replicating even one billionth of Green’s path of control.

Attempting to struggle within the time-space distortions of the Grand World, without breaking forcefully at the Aibadang level, or possessing the Dominator Almighty Soul, or some special life’s eerie capability, is impossible!

The only regret is that, as an external controller, activating the Grand World doesn’t consume magic power, but souls. This means, activated at the cost of lifespan, thus never serving as a conventional method of use, even after Green attains True Spirit.

This is also one of the fundamental principles of supreme artifacts; while having the power to break through rule bindings in some aspects, they inherently face invisible limitations on the other hand. Therefore supreme artifacts are never wielded lightly.

Wooo... Wooo... Wooo...

The Temporal Storm descended. To Green, in this Dimensional Esophagus, the Temporal Storm had become as routine and normal as the day-night cycles in the Wizard World. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Flying for a while longer, skimming a few hundred meters near the Temporal Storm, Green then approached the bone-laden ground, using the Arc of Oblivion to excavate a smooth as mirror cave, hiding inside just before the Temporal Storm arrived.

"Phew..."

Without any emotional upheaval, Green, who was about to delve into research on the knowledge of the Life Key, suddenly sensed something amiss in the pit. After contemplating for a moment, he looked downward, where it was pitch black as an immense granite rather than the remnants of light under the Temporal Fault.

"Uh, what is this? Could it be some sort of treasure!?"

Excited, Green anticipated the opportunities he might encounter within the Dimensional Esophagus, like a wizard apprentice with an unknown future, filled with excitement daily.

Descending quickly, Green cautiously tapped with the extreme abyss magic staff "dang," "dang," "dang," making metallic sounds—could it be some ancient civilization’s battleship!?

Amidst the ear-piercing screams of the Temporal Storm "wooo wooo wooo" overhead, numerous bones collapsed into the cave. Green touched the black metal surface with his right hand, feeling none of the chill, starkly different from the Metal Destroyer civilization and Xiahe civilization.

Forcing a comparison, it seemed somewhat similar to the Dark Sorcerers’ Synthetic Beast System in the Mysteries of Life and Death, though it ought to be like the Seven-Ring Holy Tower, blending energy and metal within the Synthetic Beast System.

"Hmm... What kind of civilization relic is this? Should I dig it out to see?"

Green was unsure about how massive this black metal buried beneath the wreckage actually was, wondering if it might take him decades or even centuries to excavate it.

Moreover, with the Temporal Storm continually filling the excavated pit, Green might never be able to uncover it, as the bones here were not the soil and stone ground of the Material World.

While Green was lost in his thoughts, suddenly, the black metal beneath his feet shook violently. Without warning, a section of the black metal silently opened with a pale yellow light screen illuminating the entire cave, with Green standing atop this light screen!
