Chapter 311: Abhi Dalal

Vikram raised his eyebrows, thought for a moment, and had already decided on the direction for reinforcement.

"Boss, where are we going this time? We’ve already driven half a mile."

Only then did Vikram remember that these later members didn’t know about the Savage Wolf Shelter.

Vikram was about to give them the coordinates but suddenly remembered that the land in the Wasteland World seemed to have changed again during this period.

Using the old coordinates might not work.

It was fine on his end, but if Kashif Ali went the wrong way, it would take much longer.

Vikram told Harry to drive in the direction he pointed and casually opened the chat.

Speaking of the Savage Wolf Shelter, Vikram hadn’t visited it for a long time since the black fog began.

"I wonder how it has developed."

Vikram remembered that the last time he went there, they had already started planting crops early on, so he thought there shouldn’t be any major problems.

With the help of Aiden and Chandan, after taking a few detours, they arrived at their destination without much trouble.

After checking the current coordinates and sending them to Kashif Ali again, Vikram and the others slowly got out of the car.

The two vehicles, whether in appearance or the noise they made while driving in the Wasteland, were obviously very conspicuous.

As soon as they got out of the car, Vikram and the others were ’greeted’ by a group of people.

"Welcome Boss Vikram, Welcome." Since Shalini knew he was coming, she already put the welcome scenario while herself wearing the best dress as she thought.

After arriving, she leaped into his arms.

Seeing that, Divya humphed, but didn’t say anything. With Luna, Sophia and Anjali she went inside, since she already knew what Vikram was going to do.

Vikram gave a cheeky smile, while taking the Shalini in his arms, and entered the shelter.

And then her bedroom. Following that, Shalini’s moaning sound started coming.

After Vikram satisfied her, he walked straight out the door.

He had intended to browse the chat channel for a while to pass the time, but as soon as he stepped out, Vikram ran into a long line of people.

Judging by the several livestock being led at the back of the Team, they must be from the Official Shelter.

Looking out, there were at least twenty people in the Team, "Do they need so many people to come?"

It was nearing evening when Kashif Ali’s team finally arrived.

Vikram expressed his understanding.

Although the land area of the Wasteland had repeatedly shrunk, it was still not smaller than Earth. Vikram was already very relieved that Kashif Ali could arrive before dark today.

After all, not every shelter had vehicles at hand.

Among the zombie nests Vikram had wiped out these days, vehicles dropped from Epic Treasure Chests only accounted for a very small portion.

And the best vehicle was just an electric motorcycle.

Following the direction Vikram waved, Kashif Ali led his team to the entrance of the Savage Wolf Shelter.

"Brother Vikram, this is my first time meeting you offline. You’re much more handsome than your chat avatar."

Kashif Ali smiled slightly, sized Vikram up and down, then joked.

Vikram didn’t rush to respond, but instead returned a scrutinizing gaze.

Kashif Ali seemed stern in the group chat, but offline he appeared to be a relatively easygoing old man.

Looking at the other Survivors in his team, most of them also had full complexions, and although their clothes weren’t as new as Vikram’s, they were all exceptionally clean and tidy.

He nodded; this scene was pretty much what he had imagined.

An Official Shelter capable of raising livestock at least looked decent on the surface.

"Hahaha, Boss Kashif, you’re the same; still strong in old age. Your vitality is truly extraordinary, I only realized it after seeing you."

They were here to trade supplies today, with no hostile relations, so Vikram didn’t mind saying a few flattering words.

Perhaps being a bit sweeter could get him more supplies or information that the Shelter didn’t have?

"Let’s not talk about these things. Come, come in and sit down first."

The cold wind outside was bleak, and although the minus 20-degree temperature wasn’t as extreme as before, it was still quite cold.

With that, he was about to lead them into the main house of the Savage Wolf Shelter.

"Wait, Old Kashif." A tall and upright Survivor beside him stopped Kashif Ali, glanced hesitantly at the environment of the Savage Wolf Shelter and Vikram’s unmasked face, then shook his head at him.

As an Official Shelter, even with so many people, they maintained sufficient vigilance towards such an unfamiliar environment.

Vikram had only given them a coordinate, without mentioning the specific location.

What if it was Vikram’s lair, and he intended to harm them after they entered?

They had come out this time for trade, carrying a considerable amount of supplies, so it wasn’t impossible to be targeted.

"I don’t have much time on this trip. How about we discuss it here then?"

The Survivor beside Old Feng pulled Kashif Ali back a step, and after looking around, slowly suggested.

Vikram hadn’t responded yet when Kashif Ali had already shaken off the other’s hand.

"It’s fine, I believe Brother Vikram isn’t that kind of boring person. Let’s go inside to talk."

Kashif Ali said with certainty, gestured to the team behind him, and then followed Vikram into the Shelter.

"I’m sorry, Brother Vikram, the Official Shelter has such strict discipline. They weren’t intentionally targeting you; they treat everyone this way."

Vikram shrugged at the words and said with a smile, "It doesn’t matter, as long as Boss Kashif is willing, trading anywhere is the same."

He had no objections to this; after all, he only knew Kashif Ali in this Official Shelter.

Vikram didn’t expect everyone in the Official Shelter to give him a face.

It was just a bit strange; he wondered if it was an illusion, but Vikram always felt that the Survivor who stopped Kashif Ali seemed to have paused for a moment when he saw him.

He shrugged and led the team inside.

Shalini had already dressed up and arrived.

"Boss, so you’re trading with them?" she asked.

Seeing Shalini, Kashif thought for a second that he had seen her somewhere before.

After a moment, he remembered and recognized her as a member of the Savage Wolf Shelter.

But what was she doing here?

And why was she calling Vikram "Boss"?

Thinking about this, he asked indirectly,

"If I’m not mistaken, you’re from the Savage Wolf Shelter, right?"

Hearing this, Shalini nodded.

"Then what are you doing here?" Kashif asked again.

"This place belongs to the Savage Wolf Shelter, so where else should I be?" Shalini asked.

"You mean, this is the Savage Wolf Shelter?"

"Why would I lie to you? I am the boss of the shelter, Shalini."

"Then Brother Vikram is?"

"He is my boss, and this place also belongs to him. It’s that simple."

The others had no reaction to this, but Kashif Ali was slightly startled internally.

The Savage Wolf Shelter back then was once immensely popular in the regional channel, even able to contend with their regional Official Shelter at first.

However, after a period, there was no news.

He had thought that the Savage Wolf Shelter had transitioned to low-key development, but he didn’t expect it to have been silently taken over by Vikram.

Originally, he thought this young man was just a particularly outstanding lone wolf Survivor who liked to guard his own small territory.

Now it seemed that was not the case at all.

Combined with Kashif Ali’s understanding of Vikram’s low-key personality, he couldn’t even imagine how many secrets the other party had behind him.

Thinking of this, Kashif Ali’s gaze towards Vikram became even more unusual.

"Alright, Boss Kashif, since you’re in a hurry, I won’t waste any more words."

"As you said, how about ten boxes of medicine for one sheep?"

"If that works, I’ll give you the supplies on the spot."

Vikram sat in the main seat, with Shilini, Divya, Sophia, Anjali, Ron, and others standing beside him, looking quite like a leader.

Kashif Ali nodded. Now that he had witnessed Vikram’s strength again, he didn’t plan to say much more.

Although this price was a bit disadvantageous for them, it was still good to make friends with such an external force.

That’s what he thought, but the Survivor beside Kashif Ali frowned tightly.

"Kashif Ali, didn’t you say you would only bring us here to trade if you found a suitable deal?"

"This kid only offers ten boxes of medicine and wants to exchange it for a sheep we have?"

"This price is at most the cost of feed for raising a sheep. This is a living sheep, not mutton."

"Even for a dead sheep, the mutton on it would be more than enough for ten boxes of medicine."

This Survivor turned sideways, speaking as if for Kashif Ali to hear.

However, the sound was audible to everyone in the room.

He clearly knew he wasn’t the decision maker in this team, but wanted to express his dissatisfaction through this.

A hint of doubt flashed in Vikram’s eyes.

From the moment he entered, this Survivor seemed to have a faint, almost imperceptible hostility towards him.

Earlier, he wasn’t very sure, but now that he could say such things to his face, Vikram was even more certain of his thoughts.

He didn’t believe that in a strictly disciplined official army, there would be such an unwise fool.

Then there was only one possibility: the other party knew him...

Vikram stared at the Survivor speaking next to Kashif Ali, racking his brain but unable to recall him at all.

Besides Kashif Ali, he had never had any contact with anyone from the Official Shelter.

Judging by the other party’s demeanor, he clearly recognized Vikram and harbored considerable hostility.

Kashif Ali glanced at Abhi beside him, a hint of displeasure on his face.

"Abhi Dalal, what are you trying to do today?"

"Don’t forget this transaction was Team Leader Evan’s order for me to lead the team; you are only responsible for protecting my safety."

"Who allowed you to interrupt?"

The previous incident had its reasons, so Kashif Ali couldn’t say much.

But the terms of this transaction were settled in the Shelter before they even set out.

Vikram hadn’t made any unreasonable offers; for Abhi to suddenly interject without cause now was extremely disrespectful to Kashif Ali.

Although Kashif Ali was not a combatant in the Official Shelter, his status was among the highest.

Many predictions and discoveries had to go through him; a talent like him would receive excellent treatment even if sent to the Official Headquarters Shelter.

Yet, a person similar to a bodyguard by his side dared to overstep his bounds and speak nonsense in front of the trading partner.

Even with Kashif Ali’s good temper, his face darkened at this moment.

"Old Kashif, what I said is the truth, isn’t it wrong?"

"How many pills are in one box of medicine? It’s barely enough to alleviate a brother’s injuries."

"He only wants to offer ten boxes of medicine for a sheep. How is that different from us just giving it to him?"

Abhi sneered, looking at Vikram’s expressionless face, and spoke with disdain and provocation.

"What the hell are you talking about, you brat?"

"You’re the ones who were in a hurry for the transaction. Our boss rushed here today without stopping for the trade."

"And what’s the result? We haven’t even haggled, and you’re already trying to raise the price?"

Ron stepped from beside Vikram to stand in front of Abhi, glaring back with angry eyes and speaking contemptuously.

After listening, Kashif Ali’s face was almost as black as the bottom of a pot.

He was the one who proposed these transaction terms in the first place.

Although they were indeed at a disadvantage, he had done it intentionally, wanting to befriend Vikram.

Upon learning today that Vikram had quietly taken down the Savage Wolf Shelter, he became even more determined in this idea.

Yet, after only a few words from Abhi, the good impression established earlier was completely ruined. Good
