Unparalleled Evolution: I became the lord of the Silver Legion

Chapter Thirty-Three: Night Star’s Anonymous Fan
Valen’s eyes spun as it took a while for him to regain his bearings.
Then came the pain. A blinding, agonising pain filled his mind, temporarily overwhelming him. He commanded the Silver Power Suit to retract before storing it within his Inventory Ring.
He struggled to stand up, several wounds littering his body. Thankfully, they were all superficial, and aside from slight aching, none of his bones had been fractured or dislocated.
He hurriedly summoned his profile to take a look, afraid that he was now in debt.

’It seems the Silver Power Suit bore the full brunt of the attack, saving me from needing to use the lifesaving barrier.’ Valen’s heart settled.
However, his expression revealed shock when he noticed another crucial detail: Level 6.
How had he reached Level 6?
He suddenly remembered the pure trophic energy the 5-Branch Silver Core had released after he slew the Level 22 Tetydraco.
At that moment, he felt like all the trouble he had faced tonight was worth it. In just a little over seventeen minutes, he had levelled up. Such efficiency made him want to challenge more monsters.
He shook his head and regained his calm while peering at the distant mountains covered in mist, searching for the Tetydracos.
It seemed they hadn’t followed him out of the mountains, and this made him breathe a slight sigh of relief. Then his gaze turned sharp as he glared at the Mist Mountains.
A corner of his mouth lifted, and he murmured:
"Just you wait."
He took in a deep breath and retrieved a small box from his Inventory Ring. On its surface were the words: Medical Nanokit.
He had received this as a reward when he slew three Level 10 Ironfang Centipedes. He hadn’t inspected it yet, but he knew what it was for.
Opening the box, he saw a syringe filled with silvery liquid inside. His jaw hardened as he picked it up with trembling hands. He had always hated injections.
But he gritted his teeth and stabbed it into his shoulder, releasing the nanobots into his bloodstream.
---
Medical Nanokit
Description: Accelerates wound treatment using programmable nanobots.
---
Instantly, a cool wave spread through his body as he felt something foreign entering his veins.
A strange numbness followed before his vision began to waver slightly. The nanobots dispersed, beginning their work.
Once the nanobots were activated, the cool sensation was replaced with heat. His wounds tingled as though something was pulling torn flesh back together from within.
The bleeding stopped, and the swelling eased as damaged muscles were reinforced.
Within moments, the worst of the bleeding was gone, and his condition had stabilised.
’Medical Nanokits are truly lifesaving items. Too bad they can’t be purchased even with points and can only be obtained as system rewards.’
Valen exhaled slowly, forcing himself upright again. Now that the nanobots were done with their jobs, they’ll slowly disintegrate and leave the body through sweat or excretion.
His body was utterly spent, and he could only trudge his way back to the city while his blood path passively accelerated his healing.

When he arrived, Valen flashed the token he had been given and underwent another set of strict security checks before he was finally allowed in.
The soldiers by the entrance exchanged surprised glances as they stared at him.
Wasn’t he the guy who had left the city about twenty minutes ago?
Was he really so weak that he couldn’t even handle the scattered monsters roaming at night?
Valen paid no heed to the soldiers’ strange expressions. Instead, he entered a turbo car and went home.
On the way, he opened the Evolvers’ Web, the new feature he had unlocked after his Silver Watch reached Level 2. Then he began browsing basic survival techniques and reading about the experiences of other Evolvers when they were in the Astral Veil.
Most of it was information he already knew, but he read it regardless in case he discovered something useful, such as why the departure date had been brought forward.
After scrolling through multiple articles and realising there wasn’t anything new, he decided to close the web and visit the forums instead.
To his surprise, the news section of the White Star City Forum was bustling with activity.
The forum page refreshed the moment Valen entered.
Hundreds of new posts appeared every second, pushing older discussions down the rankings at an astonishing speed.
Most of them revolved around a single topic: {The Uprising}, and a single name: {Night Star}.
Valen’s eyes narrowed as he tapped the thread. A moment later, a lengthy post filled his screen.
His gaze slowly swept over the title.
URGENT UPDATE: The Lone Star of Black Ruin Castle: Why We Owe Our Lives to ’Night Star’
Valen’s jaw dropped.
’What in the world is happening?’
His brows furrowed in incomprehension.
For a brief moment, he genuinely wondered if there was another Night Star somewhere in White Star City.
Then he discarded such thoughts and began reading the post.
The first paragraph came into view.

< To everyone sitting safely in White Star City right now, you’ve seen the news about the uprising, but you weren’t there to experience it in person.
You didn’t see the moment the fortified walls felt like a cage, trapping us in a desperate struggle for survival.
And you didn’t see the despair in our eyes when the Level 5 Amberfiends descended and transformed the Normal Sector into their playground.
But then... there was one man. One man who didn’t blink or shrink from fear.
His name is Night Star. >

Valen’s eyelid twitched. He already had a very bad feeling about where this was going.
As he continued reading, that feeling only intensified.
---
< Night Star didn’t just save his party; he commanded every scattered, terrified Evolver to follow him into the Elite Sector.
He gambled everything on "Emergency Mode," using himself as the shield at the gate so we could live to see another minute.
Then came the Elite Sector. We were being pushed back. Even the strongest among us were reaching their limits. Then Night Star picked up a rifle. After a few warm-up shots that had some people scoffing, he became something utterly... inhuman.
They’re calling him the One-Shot King now, and after watching him clear the horizon, I know why. >
