Yet... that was all proven to be untrue... be it one way or another

Did you know that miracles tend to happen everyday

It flooded my entire being filling me up yet leaving me hollow

In that case shouldn’t I also feel fear?

At the moment none of that mattered to me, for only one thought enveloped me

I was too preoccupied with such thoughts to feel anything else

To this thing that I couldn’t have known, to what dosed me in wonder

What it was I had no idea, all I knew was that it was perhaps the most magnificent thing I had ever set my eyes upon

What is it I didn’t know

How did it look like I couldn’t comprehend

Was it even possible for such a thing to exist

Such thoughts pulled me along

It was beautiful, perfect, endless, boundless

Yet... broken

It felt like I was in an endless cycle of discovery and forgetfulness

For all I saw disappeared from memory but a moment later

Too much... it was too much so I had to forget

And so, I simply sat there motionless, the only prominent feelings being the sense of wonder from the unknown and the slowly receding pain

Time passed and the pain was all but gone yet I remained frozen as I am since the beginning, and at that point another emotion started to grow alongside the sense of wonder and pain

’ Frustrating ’

Frustration boiled inside me

’ Frustrating! ’

’ FRUSTRATING!!! ’

For that thing that I saw yet couldn’t see

For that thing I was endlessly forgetting in repeat

A few more seconds and the pain would be done, and instinctively I knew that this whole situation would be gone with it and so my frustration only grew

The world returned to normal

I was sitting on my bed drenched in cold sweat my breathing ragged my hand near my core

Yet that wasn’t what was important

I had seen it

Even though it was only a fraction I had seen it

perhaps not whole but at least it was something

No perhaps considering everything perhaps it was better that it wasn’t whole

But as I slowly relished the feeling of fulfilment growing inside me due to finally remembering the reality of this whole situation slowly dawned on me

As what once felt like a burning fire inside me started to simmer out, I could feel my expression only grew more sombre as time went on

In complete opposition to what I had felt before a deep dread draped upon me as I slowly went through what I had discovered, and even more so what I had felt

Taking out every other phenomenon that had occurred what truly unsettled me was how I reacted to it all

I had emotions that’s for sure, yet I was never the type to overly express, maybe before but that is no longer the case now

Yet even taking into account that a literal life altering event had happened that could have affected how I felt and acted, the very fact that it felt so natural was what shook me

’ Why? ’

Indeed, why did I feel such elation from such a thing?

’ Was it due to what I had gained? ’

That could be true yet considering all that it contains utter despair was the emotion that should be felt not wonder

’ Even taking account of the good that was present ’

most of what I had gained was complete nonsense, and in that sea, I saw a simple clue and a terrible truth

’ So why? ’

Why would I feel such elation towards something like the βιβλιοθήκη της Βαβέλ

I had finally left my bed, staying any longer felt like simply asking for something else to happen, and so I quickly took a shower and made my way towards my office

I skipped breakfast entering immediately and taking my seat, I had no appetite after going through such a thing

I delved into my work I tried to get my mind off of what had just happened earlier this morning, I bore holes into the papers while holding them

However, it didn’t work

No matter how much I tried to simply forget, it didn’t work

It hasn’t even been an hour yet here I am wishing to erase something I had so desperately wished to know

Breaking me out of my thoughts where the sound of paper fluttering as the fell of the hands of albert who had appeared as always

This time though with a rather intense look on his face before changing his expression into that of a smile of a clueless old man, believing it would only be appropriate as per etiquette I proceeded to smile like a clueless young man
