Chapter 310: Little Demoness [ 5 ]

Hours passed in the blink of an eye, and I spent it all watching Jenna get the treatment she was supposed to. I wasn’t expecting much, but it really was like magic.

Her body, and all of her wounds were healed in minutes. Afterwards, the woman spent the rest of her time just doing Jenna’s skin care routine.

In the end, she looked like any ordinary woman, except she was much more beautiful than the others. Even I was a bit surprised by her appearance.

Despite that, hours had passed, and now, aside from Jenna just walking around like a normal woman, there wasn’t anything else she could do. The first impression was great, so deep down, I already knew just what would happen if she were to remain.

And that would be absolutely... nothing. That’s because Vincent said a lot of bullshit to make her afraid. It pissed me off greatly, but I was sure the one truly pissed off was none other than Jenna, who had to endure all those lies for so very long.

But now, she was done.

I wonder, should I just leave her here? Honestly... I could, if not for the fact that this whole place is probably going to be wiped off the map in just a few hours. After all, there’s no way Vincent would leave them all be, knowing that the demons had practically lived under them for so long.

Nonetheless, I decided to give her a quick little message in the form of a slight push. Jenna felt it and glanced around, thinking that I was around. Obviously, the message was clear enough, but even then, she didn’t start walking back to the exit.

Instead, she went even deeper into the city, as if she was avoiding me.

I rolled my eyes and with a single flick of my wrist, I began controlling her body, making her naturally wave at the people she met, and then eventually, I watched as she exited the underground city and began climbing to the top of the cave.

Her expression was one of reluctance, but even then, she didn’t have much of a choice here. At least, not until she squared out her stuff with her father.

So when she finally reached the top and spotted me, the first thing she did was complain.

"Why’d you do that? I was just getting along with them... Are you going to be like my father? Are you going to keep me locked up too?"

I rolled my eyes. "Stop trying to pin the blame on me. You knew what you were getting yourself into today. I’ll take you back to your father now. Deal with your problems, and then you can do whatever you want."

She pouted in reluctance, but caved in regardless. When she began to walk away, I followed after her, my gaze still locked firmly onto the demons below. I felt like I should just kill them to reduce their population, but for the sole reason that they helped Jenna, I decided to let them off the hook.

And so by the time they two of us arrived back at Vincent’s home, the only thing that awaited us was a furious Vincent.

He grew even more furious when he realized how normal his daughter looked now.

"Why... What did you do?" He glanced at me. "Do you think this is a good idea? She looked like a pitiful demon, but now she looks like a capable demon. What do you think will happen when she’s thrust into society, huh?"

He approached me, drew his sword, and then tried to slash down at me. For once, I decided to just let it happen, watching as the sword drew nearer and nearer to me.

Yet once it struck my neck, the sword shattered. It wasn’t an unexpected outcome, and for one, I was a bit disappointed that was all his strength had amounted to.

But even so, I didn’t argue as I allowed Jenna to take her own stand.

"You lied to me."

"Jenna..."

"You said everything would go wrong if I left. But look at me! I look fine! I look beautiful, and even my Demonic Energy had been unsuppressed. I’m a Grade 10 now. I could take care of myself if I wanted to!"

Her rage flared up in the form of several demonic tendrils all around us. Vincent was the target of those tendrils, but then again, the difference between him and Jenna was too huge. Those tendrils did nothing but massage his feet.

But she couldn’t see past that. Instead, it almost looked like she didn’t care about what happened, as all she wanted was to let out her thoughts.

However, in the midst of her screaming and lashing out, I spotted something. Her wings were slowly sprouting from her back, and within a few seconds, they were out completely.

The power of her tendrils immediately increased, to the point where Vincent frowned and was forced to actually start cutting them up.

It was almost like with a single pair of wings, she was able to gain 20 Grades worth of power... This amount of enhancement was insane, even for my standards.

But it seemed like that was only the tip of the iceberg, as her wings began to expand more and more, her power increasing proportionally. Before it could get too out of hand though, Vincent recognized the danger, and did what probably no father would do.

He crossed the distance between them, and with a quick karate-chop, he struck the back of her neck, knocking her out immediately. She fell to the ground, unconscious and slightly bleeding from her nose.

It didn’t look too serious, but then again, an injury was an injury, and since it was inflicted by Vincent, I could only sigh in disappointment.

"You’re a pretty shitty father."

He shrugged. "Try to school me whenever you have children of your own, Amon. Now get out of here. I need to relocate."
