Chapter 1026: Chapter 1026: He Went to Take a Cold Shower

Mason Nightshade bit his teeth in frustration.

I don’t even know who’s chasing who. I’ve already taken the initiative to get into the bathtub, and this girl doesn’t seem interested.

Does she really need me delivered right to her lips?

"Aurelia, I’m thirsty!" Mason called out.

Two minutes later, Aurelia Shaw came in with a glass of water.

Mason glanced at her and moved his beautifully toned arm.

Suddenly, a soft, boneless hand pressed down on his shoulder.

Mason’s mouth curled up, thinking she finally couldn’t hold back.

Just as he was about to take control, the woman’s voice rang out lightly, with a commanding tone: "You’re injured, don’t move around, is your back itchy?"

It wasn’t his back that itched; it was somewhere else!

"Here?" Aurelia scratched Mason’s back a couple of times.

Mason nodded, though inside he was gritting his teeth in anger, the pent-up frustration swirling inside him made him feel terrible.

...

An hour later, Mason finally came out of the bathroom.

This time, he didn’t dare call Aurelia, not knowing if she was doing it on purpose. He had hinted so clearly, yet she still didn’t take him down. Could he really be so unattractive now?

Mason looked at the man in the mirror, his young and handsome face with stubbled chin, eyes slightly narrowed, hiding a sharp arrogance in their dark depths, corners slightly lifting, cold and proud yet carrying a hint of rebelliousness and disdain, a face appealing to anyone.

He shouldn’t be so lacking in charm.

After a while, Mason suddenly chuckled softly.

What was he doing?

In the dead of night, staring at the mirror, examining his looks?

Sigh, that girl truly is confusing him, making him do increasingly childish things.

...

Mason pushed the door and went out, Aurelia was sitting on the bed.

A laptop on her knees, playing the hottest TV series, she paused it, lifted her eyes to look at Mason, a meaningful smile rising at her lips, her eyes with gleams.

Mason paused for a moment, leaned against the wall with a laugh, "Was that intentional?"

Aurelia’s smile grew even more brazen: "You’re the one doing strange things."

"Didn’t you say you were chasing me?" Mason said.

"Chasing you means I have to get with you?" Aurelia retorted.

"You didn’t think like that before. When I went home before, three times out of five I found you lying on my bed in something sexy," Mason laughed.

Aurelia placed the laptop aside and put a medicine box on her lap.

Seeing her move, Mason walked over.

"It turns out my past approach was wrong, now I want to adjust that tactic, switch to a new strategy." Aurelia applied medicated cotton swabs on Mason’s chest.

Flesh bloodily stitched together with thick threads, blood seeping out, showing how deep the knife wound was.

Mason had given her a knife, yet it stabbed straight into his heart.

Mason’s expression didn’t change as he lowered his eyes to the woman’s delicate face, as exquisite as a Siren rising from the sea, his voice deep like a cello, murmured: "It’s effective too."

"Hmm?" Aurelia heard the faint amusement in Mason’s voice and looked up at him.

Mason repeated, "I said, your past methods were quite effective."

"Effective? But you didn’t take the bait, did you?" Aurelia said lightly, "I remember clearly, every time you saw me, you slammed the door in anger and left. I got so scared, I didn’t dare come anymore, fearing you wouldn’t come back."

"That was me going to take cold showers," Mason replied.
