The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human?!
Chapter 1396 - 846: So This Is the "Gun God"? (2)
"You wouldn’t happen to be a priest, would you?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"You’re very clever, young man. Unfortunately, our sect’s doctrine doesn’t include self-sacrifice."
The priest replied.
"Well, having mutual benefit is good enough. Will a bottle of Silver Label get you to sign for my delivery? Infinite Heavenly Venerable."
He took out a bottle of Silver Label.
Without Silver Label vodka, he could only produce a bottle of Silver Label whiskey.
"Hmm..."
The priest gazed at the Silver Label, unable to hide his longing.
Even on normal days, Silver Label from Du Kang Wine Workshop isn’t something you can casually drink, much less at a time like this.
"A bottle of Silver Label isn’t enough to buy my life, young man. But, I’m willing to give you a chance. Come in, and close the door behind you."
The priest walked inside, obliviously exposing his back without any precautions.
Of course, Liu Zheng had no intention of launching a sneak attack.
He walked into the room, closing the door as he entered.
If it were just an order with a delivery address, he could have placed the meal and made a run for it by now.
Unfortunately, the order has a recipient, so there’s no escaping.
Liu Zheng followed the priest while observing the room.
It was clear the priest was quite well-off.
The place was not only luxuriously decorated, but the living room was filled with valuable-looking items.
However, the most noticeable were the various empty bottles scattered around.
Even for someone with the constitution of a Transcendent, this "Gun God" drinks too much.
Following the swaying priest through the hallway, Liu Zheng arrived at a small room.
The priest rudely kicked open the door, and a wave of heat rushed out—it was a sauna room.
The wall opposite the door had a tiered bathing rack, and the right wall housed a sauna stove, loaded with many round stones.
These stones had been heated to a glowing red, resembling amber.
Next to the sauna stove was a water bucket with a tied bunch of leaves inside, appearing to be birch leaves.
"Stick in there for half an hour, then we’ll talk."
The priest tore off his robe and tossed it aside, then shut the sauna room door.
"Oh, come on!"
Liu Zheng’s eyes widened.
It’s said that Lao Ai could walk with a cart made of paulownia wood using his manhood, and this priest here could probably haul a truck wheel for a cross-country trek.
"So that’s the kind of Gun God you are."
He realized suddenly.
"Jealous, are you?"
The priest patted his manhood.
"It’s okay."
Liu Zheng redirected his gaze.
He didn’t like discussing such topics.
The priest chuckled softly, draping himself in a robe from a hook, then found a full bottle amidst the pile and poured it onto the sauna stones.
The scent of alcohol and steam rose simultaneously, and the sauna room’s temperature escalated yet again.
"How’s it?"
The priest inquired.
"Nothing much."
Liu Zheng replied calmly.
The Extreme Fury Asura embodies anger itself, and though anger doesn’t equal high temperature, this heat doesn’t faze him.
"Then let’s amp it up."
The priest picked up bottle after bottle, pouring them onto the sauna stones, quickly filling the room with alcohol fumes and steam.
The alcoholic vapor seeped through Liu Zheng’s open pores, soon making him feel dizzy, with the ground wobbling like ocean waves, as he bobbed on them like a drifting small boat.
"How about now?"
The priest asked again.
"Still not strong enough, watch this. Infinite Heavenly Venerable."
Liu Zheng took out several bottles of Copper Mark, smashing them onto the sauna stones.
The bottles shattered, and the exquisite brew from Du Kang Wine Workshop dominated the other liquor’s aroma, leading them like a general launching an attack on both men.
"Thump!"
The priest, about to fetch more booze, stumbled and crashed headfirst into the bathing rack.
"Priest, seems like you can’t handle this."
Liu Zheng chuckled.
"Hmph, this is only the beginning, young man. You haven’t yet grasped the true charm of Slavic sauna." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
With that, the priest staggered to the bucket, fetching the soaked bundle of branches.
"Ready to receive God’s blessing?"
He raised the birch twigs and asked.
"No?"
Liu Zheng shook his head.
"Hmm?"
The priest paused.
"I don’t believe in your God, will He still bless me?"
He asked.
"Then take it as God’s test for you. If you pass, I will bless you as His representative."
The priest pondered a moment and spoke.
"Like signing for the delivery?"
Liu Zheng sought to confirm the matter.
"If you withstand three hits, I’ll sign for the delivery."
The priest agreed.
"These branches, they don’t pack some one-hit knockout, right?"
Liu Zheng speculated.
"You’re talking too much, young man. If you’re unwilling to accept the test, then get out of my house. I’ve had enough troubles lately."
The priest said impatiently.
"How about sharing your troubles, maybe I can help solve them."
Liu Zheng proposed.
"You? A delivery boy?"
The priest sneered.
"Even the lowest of those bothering me is someone you have to look up to—what can you help me with?"
He mocked.
"Bloody Restaurant isn’t just any restaurant; its delivery men aren’t just ordinary delivery men either. Despite how I seem, I have quite a network across the Metropolis in various industries, and many connections within City Hall."
Liu Zheng smiled.
"Oh?"
The priest’s blue eyes lit up again.
"Take a hit, then I’ll tell you."
He spoke after a moment.
"Bring it on then."
Liu Zheng agreed.
He could naturally ward off most instant-death effects, and had two lives, so even if the priest had tricks up his sleeve, he wasn’t afraid.
"Lord, cleanse this sinner, and have mercy on his sins."
The priest recited a hymn, then lifted the birch twigs and struck down heavily.
"Slap!"
The birch leaves hit Liu Zheng’s head, making a crisp sound.
As though struck by a blow from the Ural Mountains, he saw stars, his mind filled with buzzing.
It wasn’t over—alcohol vapor and steam filled the room, rushing into his body, feeling as if every pore boiled with hot soup, every nerve ending pressed by heated stones.
Even with Liu Zheng’s willpower, he couldn’t help but have veins pop.
But that was it; compared to slaughter by Oynk and nightmares from the Evil God, it was far less.
"Such sinful filth—you make others envious."
The priest said, eyes shining.
"Envious? Priest, are you talking nonsense?"
Recovering, Liu Zheng raised an eyebrow.
"Of course not, this bit of alcohol isn’t enough to make me babble, or I’d have died from a slip of the tongue long ago. Do you know of the ’Holy Fool’?"
The priest asked.
"I think I’ve heard of it—it’s people who often act irrational and foolish, but sometimes exhibit wisdom surpassing normal folks."
He thought and replied.
"You’re more learned than you appear, young man. Yes, that’s about right."
The priest glanced at him appreciatively.
"Let no one deceive themselves: if any of you considers themselves wise in this age, they must become foolish to become wise, for the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight."
The priest recited a scripture.
"For people often pride themselves on wisdom, forgetting humility, so the Holy Fool bears their foolishness to awaken them."
He explained.
"Of course, our sect venerates not the Holy Fool, but the Sacred Sin."
The priest stated.
"Sacred Sin?"
"Exactly. Some people commit minor sins to avoid greater ones, some do minor acts of good while committing major sins, others commit major sins while accomplishing great good. The foolish can only rely on personal bias or law to judge. Only those with Sacred Sin know true good and evil."
"They commit the sins people should commit and achieve the good they should accomplish. Holy is the Fool! Holy is the Sin!"
The priest exclaimed.
"Well, though I don’t fully understand, I feel like the Security Department might not favor your sect’s doctrine."
Liu Zheng squinted and said.
