Chapter 1510: Exclusive Hunter

"Exclusive Hunter...?"

This was Klaus’s first time hearing such a term.

Then again, a unique warrior and hunter was also a first, one that came about thanks to his overwhelming talent. The Mission Hall made him a unique hunter, and the Warrior Temple tried the same, but that failed.

So being asked to become an Exclusive Hunter wasn’t much of a shock.

However, hearing it shocked him nonetheless.

Being a unique hunter gives him the freedom to handpick missions. He also gets to take on missions that the Mission Hall deems important and a good fit for his specialty.

Already, he had received such a mission that he would embark on after he registered at the academy. However, as an Exclusive Hunter, he wondered what his role would be.

Most importantly, he wondered how much they were willing to pay to sign such a contract with him. He needed money, so as long as they would pay enough, he had no problem going into a contract with them.

Supreme Queen Mirabel smiled, seeing the look on Klaus’s face.

"No need to look lost, Renegade Hunter. I am already aware of your tight schedule, so rest assured, our offer would not contradict any of such schedules. In fact, you would find our offer much more appealing once I reveal the details to you."

Klaus nodded. "Then I would love to hear what you have to say first before I make any commitment."

"Very well. As you already are aware, when it comes to the five powerhouses of the universe, the Universe Bank is the richest and also the most powerful. We control 90% of the universe’s finance, so you can already guess the kind of power we hold.

That said, while we have money, we also have the obligation to provide for our customers when they come knocking.

In our first meeting, I extended an invitation to you to our upcoming Galactic Auction, which happens once every 1000 years. That auction is one of our many events where we make sure value is placed on the trust our customers have in us.

The sale of treasures and all kinds of rare artifacts is at the core of our business, so because of that, we value treasure hunters above all.

Now, before you assume we want you to become a treasure hunter, know that we have no such thought in mind. However, we have something similar: collaboration.

We want to collaborate with you so that whenever you come into possession of real treasures in your many missions, you prioritize selling them to us before considering other avenues.

Of course, we will buy at market value, and depending on the treasure’s worth, we may add additional incentives. We will also provide you with unique missions that will lead to treasures that I believe will benefit both you and us.

We are also willing to pay 100 million GC (God Coins) per month, and depending on the treasure’s grade, you might earn a 2%–5% commission whenever we auction it.

Lastly, due to how far our influence spreads, you will be given a pass that grants you access to all our establishments in the universe. You would also gain more benefits as your service to us starts to yield fruit.

So what do you think?"

Klaus remained seated, his expression calm as he stared back at Supreme Queen Mirabel. A few seconds later, a grin formed on his face...

"I don’t know if this is a dream or not, but I have to say, I would be an idiot if I rejected such an offer." Indeed, he would be an idiot if he were to reject such a great offer.

First of all, he is someone destined to control ten bodies (nine incarnations and one main body). Thanks to such a boon, he is able to explore more ruins and come across many treasures.

Naturally, finding a way to sell them and earn more than just money sounded like a good thing for him.

"In fact, where do I sign to make this official?"

Supreme Queen Mirabel smiled. "I like your enthusiasm, Renegade Hunter. I was worried there for a second when you hadn’t reached out after our first meeting."

Klaus smiled and replied, "That was my bad. I was being chased down by a Supreme, so I entered seclusion to raise my strength."

"That is understandable." Supreme Queen Mirabel waved her hand, and a contract appeared before her. "You can sign here and here, and the first part of our collaboration will be official. The second part will be delivered in person."

"That is fine. I will be going to the Milky Way Academy soon, so we can meet there and sign. I even have something I would like to sell to the Universe Bank."

"Oh, that is good then. I will start moving toward the academy then."

Supreme Queen Mirabel had become happy. Signing Klaus to the Universe Bank would raise her status among her peers.

Among the Mission Hall, Heavens Court, Warrior Temple, and Dark Space Company, the Universe Bank is the most neutral party, followed by the Dark Space Company.

They serve both the righteous faction and the demon faction. So even if one day Klaus ends up being an enemy of the righteous faction, they wouldn’t go out of business with him. To them, as long as there is a profit involved, they don’t care who they go into bed with.

Klaus signed the contract with a smile on his face.

"Your 100 million GC will be deposited into your account soon." Supreme Queen Mirabel reached forward for a handshake.

"I have to say, Renegade Hunter, you joining the Universe Bank makes me happy. Do you know why?"

"Can’t say I have an idea."

"Very simple, really. In the vast universe out there, you are the first person ever to catch the attention of the Paragon. From what I know of him, he never had an equal. For the first time ever, you managed to capture his attention.

That makes you a valuable asset, and as the Universe Bank, we invest in assets that will yield the most profit. I look forward to making loads of money together, Renegade Hunter."

Klaus smiled and shook his head. "I will do my best to bring in more money, Supreme Queen Mirabel."

"I look forward to that."

After spending a few minutes talking, Klaus left and returned to the city. He intended to explore the virtual world some more, so he didn’t log out immediately.

While signing the contract with the Universe Bank made him several times richer, he knew he was nowhere near being a young master, not if he were to rely solely on his assets.

"Well, if I am to merge my account with Orion (Paragon) and Rhazor (Criminal) accounts, then I can be considered a young lord."

He had already dedicated the Paragon Incarnation to handling all the assets left behind for him by the senior, so there was no telling just what he would discover later.

But in his own account now, he had less than needed to cater for himself, his wives, and his legion.

"I need to make more money," Klaus said inwardly as he walked into a bar to have a drink.

There was no telling what kind of danger Rhazor would be walking into where he was headed.

However, he was aware that if he played his cards right, in the next couple of months before the [Underworld Slaughter Tournament], he would become super strong.
