The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop
Chapter 766 - 35: Heavenly Master and the Former Slacker 35
"What you just threw, was it this?" Wu Yihao also asked.
"Yes, the Peach Wood Sword. There’s definitely something in this place. I don’t know what it is yet, but it’s not a ghost." Cui Wenyan had just checked the radar on the phone, which showed no ghostly presence. So, what appeared just now wasn’t a ghost, but perhaps a sprite or something similar?
"Then, what could it be?" Zhao Qian asked, trembling.
"We don’t know yet. Follow me and listen to my instructions. We should be trapped in an Otherworldly Space now. If we find the formation eye and break it, we can get out." Cui Wenyan said calmly.
"We’ll listen to you, all of us will." Liang Bing carefully tucked the talisman close to her body, stood up, and said repeatedly.
Wu Yihao and the others also gathered around, moving closer to Cui Wenyan.
"Then let’s go." Cui Wenyan opened the villa door, deciding to try the place they came from, which should be the entry point.
Everyone hurriedly followed her, wishing to stick closely, obediently following her out of the villa.
Just after passing through the villa’s iron gate, Zhou Kai walking in the middle holding Zhao Qian’s arm, no one noticed that a wire suddenly extended out, tearing Zhao Qian’s jacket, and a talisman quietly fell to the ground.
After walking a short distance, Zhou Kai suddenly called out from behind, "Zhao Qian! Zhao Qian is missing!"
"What? Weren’t you holding onto her?" Liang Bing asked him.
"No... it’s not her... Cui Wenyan! Help!" Zhou Kai, pale-faced, slowly raised his hand, holding in his hand a piece of charred dead wood! No one knew when Zhao Qian disappeared.
Wu Yihao and Liang Bing’s expressions changed as well. None of them, including Zhou Kai, who had held her hand, knew when Zhao Qian vanished.
At this moment, all three of them deeply regretted suggesting this adventure. If anything happened to Zhao Qian here, they would never forgive themselves!
Then suddenly, a woman’s scream burst out from the villa behind them, piercingly sharp. Cui Wenyan immediately turned and charged back into the villa. Wu Yihao and the other two closely followed.
Yet suddenly everything before their eyes vanished. The road, the bushes, the villa, all disappeared. What appeared before them was a mud road. At the road’s end was an old small village, then the joyous sound of a suona horn shattered the silence.
The sky was tinged with a pale white, the cold light illuminating the path ahead. A red wedding sedan slowly emerged, bobbing up and down, carried by four bearers heading east. A small procession in red followed behind, lively with music and drums.
The bright red clashed sharply with the ghostly white before them. A chilly wind brushed past, lifting the sedan’s curtain, revealing Zhao Qian, dressed in an entire red bridal gown, with her eyes closed inside! Zhao Qian seemed to have lost her senses, sitting woodenly in the sedan without any response.
"It’s Zhao Qian!" Zhou Kai shouted, about to rush forward to save her. However, as he lunged forward, a force suddenly repelled him. Zhou Kai rolled on the ground twice; Liang Bing and Wu Yihao hurriedly helped him up.
"What’s going on?" Wu Yihao and Liang Bing watched as the procession headed further away, asking in horror.
"Ghosts?"
"Ghost marriage procession?" Wu Yihao and Liang Bing asked, trembling.
Cui Wenyan said firmly, "Let’s follow them first!"
