The Best Actor Insists On Living With Me!
Chapter 1813 - 1803: Returning Home (2)
Bo Yan’s head felt like it exploded with a loud "boom." Originally, while tussling with her, the two rolled together, and the position was already very close. Xia Siyu was still hugging him tightly—thanks to her dance training and martial arts skills; the average girl wouldn’t have the core strength to pull it off.
Bo Yan had also drunk quite a lot, his whole body was hot. When he was tickling her earlier, they were close, but his attention was focused on "subduing" her, so he didn’t feel much. As a result, she leaned in close, hanging onto him like a sloth, clinging to his abdomen, instantly sending a warm rush from his core through his entire body, making him feel like he was about to lose control, like in a martial arts novel.
Others beg for mercy when tickled, but not her. She retreated to advance, putting him in a difficult position. This kind of enchantress needs him to exorcise and tame; if unleashed, who knows how many men she’d mesmerize.
However, he knew that Xia Siyu was rowdy, but only in front of him. In the eyes of others, she’s like a great demon king, fierce and intimidating. She wouldn’t drink too much around others or get close in the same way. She’s wild but knows how to protect herself. She doesn’t care about rumors, but won’t easily let others take advantage.
"So what you’re saying is if I don’t tickle, you’ll kiss me, right?" Bo Yan seized the opportunity and used her words against her, "How do I know if you’re being serious or not? Why don’t you try kissing me again?"
Xia Siyu giggled, her face still flushed from the wine and the recent tickling, but soon, she leaned over again, storming his face with a series of rapid "mua~mua~" kisses: "Is that better now? Mmm..."
The rest of the words, Xia Siyu couldn’t say; they were all sealed in her stomach by Bo Yan.
The night was still long.
**
The following morning, although they had exercised before sleeping, to help with Xia Siyu’s swelling from drinking last night, Bo Yan alternated between cold and warm towels, applying them on her for quite a while. He also poured her a large cup of black coffee for breakfast. It helped her wake up and reduced the swelling.
The effect was quite noticeable; when Xia Siyu was getting her makeup done, the makeup artist didn’t notice any swelling. Wei Jingjing also didn’t see that she had snacked and drank last night. Seeing Bo Yan there, she knowingly gave them some privacy.
But Bo Yan didn’t have time to visit the set; after breakfast, they said their goodbyes. Also, because they exercised for quite a while last night, Xia Siyu usually gets up early even without work and goes to the set to check the stunt positions. Today, however, she only arrived at noon, making John quip at her: "I’ve been waiting for you for a long time! Aren’t you usually here in the morning?"
"Well, I went for a run last night, got tired, and slept in a bit." She didn’t mention Bo Yan. John had seen them together last time in Venice. Besides, she and Bo Yan are already publicly recognized as a couple. Though not officially announced as married, their relationship is. She wasn’t hiding anything, just felt it was unnecessary.
But while filming, due to jumping and flipping, with close coordination required, during a flip, John seemed to notice a mark on her back, shouting out loud.
Because of his shout, they had to redo the scene, and the director was puzzled: "You were doing well just now, what happened?"
John didn’t elaborate at that moment but whispered to Xia Siyu during a break: "Did you find a man?"
Xia Siyu paused, and John pointed to her back. When Bo Yan leaves marks, he’s careful, unlike Xia Siyu, who might scratch him leaving visible red marks on his face. On filming days, she’d need layers of concealment. But Bo Yan rarely leaves marks on her, being considerate of any potential inconvenience. Without that backflip accidentally exposing her neckline to John, he wouldn’t have noticed.
Xia Siyu remained composed: "Yeah, so what, are you spying on me?"
"Is this considered spying? You’re not telling me about having a boyfriend! I shared with you when Tracy and I broke up and when Selena and I kissed, you’re not telling me!" John’s expression screamed ’you don’t consider me a friend,’ leaving Xia Siyu speechless.
"Is it that guy we saw in Italy last time?"
Xia Siyu nodded: "Yes, my boyfriend. Our film won the Golden Lion."
"Spring Light," starring Xia Siyu, clinched the Golden Lion, catapulting her to global fame. Particularly, her impeccable collaboration with Bo Yan elevated the film’s score—perhaps from a 70 to over 90 due to their stellar performances.
John was indignant upon hearing this: "Just wait, next time I’ll get a Golden Globe, I’ll win an Oscar too!"
"Alright, then work hard."
The two continued filming, smoothly all the way. However, that evening, Bo Yan messaged her first saying he might be busy tonight and tomorrow night, advising her to sleep early.
When Bo Yan is around, Xia Siyu loves to annoy him but can amuse herself pretty well even without him. She dared not drink again or secretly snack. Bo Yan instructed her not to overexert herself at night to prevent hunger-driven snacking post-exercise. She took his advice, bathed early and rested.
There was originally only a scene left, delayed due to John’s filming, but it was expected to conclude by the day after tomorrow. Ideally, with Bo Yan away, she seized the chance to fully immerse herself in filming, aiming for an early wrap-up.
John put in commendable effort too. Despite starting off a bit stiff, his previous fight training paid off, making his on-camera actions quite good. Their collaboration improved, with martial arts guidance on set, finally wrapping up all scenes by the afternoon two days later.
Afterward, John had other scenes and couldn’t leave. But Xia Siyu had already completed all her parts. Originally, there was just this final scene, but it was delayed due to John’s shoot, and expected to finish the day after. Perfect timing with Bo Yan not around, allowing her to fully commit to filming, striving for an early completion.
John was putting in significant effort too. Having learned combat previously, his moves initially appeared stiff but with practice, they worked well for the camera. The two’s synergy improved, alongside martial arts guidance, wrapping all scenes two days later by afternoon.
Post-wrap, John had additional scenes and couldn’t depart. However, Xia Siyu had completed all her scenes.
