Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids
Chapter 495: Zhou Yaling’s Breakdown
Xiaofeixia, who climbed into the excavator first, gave Candy a big grin as she struggled to get aboard.
"Almost ready."
A gentle twist of the key and with a buzz, the excavator’s exhaust pipe belched out thick smoke.
Coincidentally, a gust of wind blew the smoke right back.
Candy squinted and waved her little hands through the air.
Fortunately, at that moment, Uncle Xiaofeixia reached out a hand and pulled her into the cabin, leaving Feiyan and the others to inhale the smoke.
As Lone Wolf and his group backed away, they started cursing.
"This guy totally floored the gas pedal on purpose."
"We definitely need to have a friendly chat with him when we get the chance."
Surprisingly, no one objected to Lone Wolf’s proposal for a friendly chat.
Inside the cabin, all Candy had to do was move the handle, and the excavator spun around in a 360° circle.
"I have a feeling this excavator’s final fate is definitely going to the scrap yard."
Everyone looked at Hawkeye in surprise.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Toys, you know, they either end up in the landfill or get sold as scrap."
"Even though this toy is a bit huge, it still can’t escape its fate as a toy."
"How long do you think Candy can play with this excavator?"
"Even if she stops playing, the excavator won’t just break."
Hawkeye shrugged, "You’re right, but the boss surely won’t use it for actual construction, because he can’t guarantee there won’t be a day when Candy suddenly remembers that she has an excavator toy to play with, just like today."
"Left unmaintained over time, the excavator will naturally break down."
"Then it’s off to the scrap yard as a heap of scrap metal."
"Wow, that makes a lot of sense."
In the excavator cabin, Xiaofeixia was happily teaching Candy how to dig holes.
Feeling initially bored with babysitting, Xiaofeixia suddenly thought that if Candy learned to drive an excavator at such a young age, it would surely show how cool of a mentor he was!
For a moment, Xiaofeixia was tempted to convince the boss to buy a plane for them to fly.
That way, he could legitimately teach Candy to fly it.
However, such things could only be dreamt of.
During all this time together, all fifteen of them knew the boss wasn’t much interested in planes.
Otherwise, with the boss’s wealth, buying a private jet would be nothing.
Candy enjoyed herself for an hour and was still reluctant to stop.
If her brother hadn’t called her home through the watch, Candy figured she could have played for another hour.
When turning off the excavator’s engine, Xiaofeixia glanced at the fuel gauge. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
The diesel was almost out.
Next time, they’ll need to refuel to play again.
"Let’s go, uncle still needs to drive in the underground garage."
Hearing Uncle Xiaofeixia mention driving, the little one suddenly remembered her bicycle was still in her brother’s office.
"Oh no, let’s hurry back."
Seeing the little one’s anxious look, everyone shared a knowing smile, thinking Candy was worried about being punished by the boss for returning late.
No one realized, she was only worried about her bicycle.
After running down to the office building, the little one didn’t see her brother, which finally allowed her to breathe a sigh of relief.
At the South Gate, several security personnel looked on enviously.
They’d grown up never having played with an excavator.
Not even a toy one, let alone a real one.
"Brother, I’m back."
"You’re back? Let’s go then."
On the couch, Zhou Yaling put down the magazine she was holding and lazily stood up.
"Alrighty!" The little one nodded vigorously and ran over to push her bicycle.
At that moment, Zhou Yaling chuckled and said:
"Candy, since you come to the office every day, why not just leave your bike here?"
"It’s not going to get lost here."
The little one gave Zhou Yaling a big eye-roll.
"Sis, you just don’t get it."
"Ha! The joy of having a bicycle, sis, you wouldn’t understand."
Zhou Yaling pursed her lips but didn’t argue.
After all, she couldn’t even ride a bike, unlike Candy.
"Stop bickering, let’s go."
"Hey, brother, wait for me!"
Seeing her brother not waiting, Candy quickly pushed her bike to catch up.
After Mo Jingchun and the group left, Xia Xiaomin finally closed the office door.
In the office building, although the security on this floor was the highest.
There were still quite a few people who had access.
For safety’s sake, Xia Xiaomin always closed the office door after the boss left.
Even when she wasn’t there, she would remotely contact Zero to have the access control closed.
Early in the morning, when the sky was just getting light, Candy crawled out of bed.
And she forcibly pushed Zhou Yaling to get up too.
Zhou Yaling sat at the head of the bed, looking like she had lost all will to live, with a dizzy head.
Sure, kindergarten started today, but it didn’t open until nine!
It was only a bit after six, and Zhou Yaling felt she was going crazy.
Aren’t kids supposed to cry and jump about not wanting to go to school?
Why was Candy so different from the other kids?
"It’s morning, it’s morning, get up."
"Can I sleep for another hour? Kindergarten doesn’t open until nine."
"But... for the first day of school, shouldn’t sis prepare Guoguo to look all pretty~?"
By eight o’clock, Mo Jingchun came downstairs to find Zhou Yaling staring blankly on the couch, eyes unfocused.
While Candy was admiring that old bike of hers.
"Hmm, you’ve all eaten already?"
Hearing the sound, Zhou Yaling snapped back to reality and said with a blank face:
"We ate over an hour ago."
"Your dear sister had me up since six this morning."
Ugh... Mo Jingchun’s mouth twitched.
Inside though, he was secretly amused, realizing his decision to have Candy share a room with Zhou Yaling was spot on.
Otherwise, it would have been him being dragged up so early.

"Stop the car, stop the car!"
Just as the car entered the grounds, Candy shouted for it to stop.
Xiaofeixia looked back at the boss and Candy, uncertain whether to keep going.
Candy didn’t wait, jumping straight out of the car.
With a flick of her foot, the trunk popped open.
"Brother, quickly help Guoguo get the bike out."
Mo Jingchun rubbed his forehead, finally deciding to take that old bike out.
Watching Candy ride her bike towards the kindergarten.
Mo Jingchun, with Candy’s backpack in hand, said to Xiaofeixia:
"Drive the car back."
"I’ll walk over."
When Mo Jingchun reached the kindergarten entrance, he found Candy wasn’t inside yet but standing beside her bike.
Surrounded by a cluster of little ones.
The problem was there were cries all around, and Candy was laughing heartily.
Suddenly Mo Jingchun felt a headache coming.
Seeing Feiyan, who was following Candy with a helpless look, Mo Jingchun knew Feiyan felt just as frustrated.
"Candy, give your bike to Sister Feiyan and go register."
