"I am sorry to disappoint you."

Nux commented, looking at Ul’Thakar. The Infinity of Darkness simply waved his hand as if it wasn’t a big deal.

"You aren’t the first, don’t worry about it."

"That is quite generous of you."

Nux smiled as he wiped the blood from his lips.

Then, he vanished and just like Seraphielle, as he did, the Space didn’t react.

The Infinities frowned, was he moving so fast that they couldn’t keep up? But that shouldn’t be possible, he couldn’t react to Seraphielle’s speed, that wouldn’t have happened if he himself was a level faster.

But the Infinities didn’t have the time for answers, because Nux was already in front of Ul’Thakar and—

BOOOOOOM

He punched his head.

Ul’Thakar blurred, the force of his punch passed through mist again, but this time, Nux grinned.

"Grrhhhh!!!"

Ul’Thakar groaned in pain.

A physical attack shouldn’t have hurt him, that should have been impossible but...

Yet again—

Impossible was made possible.

Ul’Thakar’s body reappeared a few meters away, but his head did not. His head had taken permanent damage that would take a long time to heal.

Or at least—

That is what should have happened but then—

Golden Light surrounded Darkness and... inside that Light, Darkness started growing and Ul’Thakar’s head regenerated in an instant.

Seraphielle had healed Ul’Thakar.

"That’s for doing what you did."

She commented, not looking at Ul’Thakar.

Ul’Thakar didn’t say anything either, he just looked at Nux with the same solemn look that Seraphielle had.

"Look at you two, you must get along well, eh?"

Nux tried to taunt, to get a reaction out of them.

He was trying to act cool, like everything was under his control, but that was far from the truth, every single action he was taking took... effort.

The Law of Anomaly was extremely difficult to control.

So much that Nux needed almost all his focus to use it and that made it difficult for him to comprehend Zylarith’s memories.

What would have normally taken less than an hour, at the rate he was going right now, he would need at least a thousand years and that was unacceptable.

He needed to do something.

Anything.

But—

The two Infinities did not react.

Instead—

The Infinity of Balance, Equarios, lifted his hand and then—

A quiet pressure fell over Nux.

The Power of Balance.

And not the weak Balance Nux was used to, it was Balance at its strongest, and it affected even Nux.

Nux had wounded Ul’Thakar, yes.

But he had used impossibility to do so—

To Balance that, he needed to pay a Price.

And that price was what Equarios’s Balance took—

Slice

A thin cut opened on Nux’s shoulder.

"You cannot have an advantage without a payment."

"Is that so..."

Nux kept a strong front as he tried to punch Equarios but—

Then something else happened.

Zylarith moved.

The Energy of Chaos surrounded the path between Nux and Equarios, Nux’s punch forgot where it was supposed to land, and its force moved towards an empty space.

Nux tried to punch again, but a small bronze ring opened beside him.

It was a Relic.

Yes, Orravyn had joined in as well.

Nux’s punch slowed down as the Relic used its power on him, that was when Seraphielle moved again.

But this time, she didn’t directly attack Nux, no, she pushed Ul’Thakar towards him instead, helping him move at her speed. Speed even Nux couldn’t properly react to, Darkness surrounded him in an instant and through that Darkness, Ul’Thakar formed, attacked, and dissolved again.

Nux blocked his blows at the very last second, but Ul’Thakar was physically stronger than him, even after he blocked his attack, the force alone cracked his wrist.

And the worst part?

Ul’Thakar didn’t end it with just one blow—

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM

He continued to attack.

Nux blocked most of his attacks, but the sheer force began to break his body.

Wrists, shoulders, ribs, back, spine—

"Khawwwrrkkkk!!"

One of the attacks sent him flying again, but this time, as Nux stabilized himself midair, he wasn’t even given time to assess his own condition because Ul’Thakar was right behind him.

"Fuck..."

Nux gritted his teeth.

And then—

"FUCK!!"

He screamed as he punched in a random direction and the next instant, the force that came from his punch... multiplied across different positions.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM

Thousands of punches aimed at Ul’Thakar, all from different directions, his eyes widened, his body turned into Mist, but again, it did not matter.

"GRRhhhhHh!!"

Ul’Thakar groaned in pain, he tried to reform his body, but this time, it wasn’t just his head that had taken damage, it was most of his body.

But then—

Energy of Balance moved.

For every ’impossible’ punch Nux created, he paid a cost for it.

His muscles tore, his fingers split open, parts of his skin fell apart, his entire body got covered in blood but Nux—

He ignored it all.

He just looked at Ul’Thakar, the Infinity he had specifically targeted. If it was a normal situation, at this point, Ul’Thakar would have already been out of the battle since he would have needed at least half an hour to heal himself—

But as Nux looked at him, Seraphielle was already standing next to him and... his wounds healed in an instant.

Nux stared at the Five Infinities with a solemn look on his face.

This... was not good at all.

These five beings had been each other’s enemies for trillions and trillions of years, so even as they stood in front of him together, he expected their egos to clash against each other’s like it did back when he put Seraphielle in a difficult position and no one came to help her because it benefitted them—

But right now—

Things were exactly the opposite of that.

The Infinities weren’t just fighting individually, they were working together in a way so meticulous that it was impossible for him to find an opening.

Seraphielle kept the group alive, healing whoever was hurt.

Ul’Thakar pressured him physically.

Equarios made every unfair result cost him.

Orravyn used his relics to slow him down and preserved the moments where Nux was forced to struggle.

And Zylarith’s Chaos broke the logic of his Law combinations.

He was not fighting five enemies.

He was... fighting one machine made of Five Infinities.

And it wasn’t going his way.

Nux scanned the battlefield again and then—

His eyes fell on Seraphielle.

If the healer stayed untouched, this would never end.

Seraphielle sensed it immediately and instead of taking the challenge, she moved back at a speed Nux had no way to match.

Not that he needed to.

He simply punched.

BOOOOOOOM

The punch moved through time and appeared where she was going to appear next, Seraphielle sensed something was wrong and tried to change direction.

Zylarith’s Chaos moved to distort Nux’s prediction, Equarios tried to balance the outcome, Orravyn sent a relic to delay Nux’s punch while Ul’Thakar came from the side to attack him.

Nux ignored all of them and—

"Agghh!"

His punch connected with Seraphielle despite all the Infinities’ efforts to stop him, Seraphielle was sent flying.

And Nux, who stood in the middle of the Infinities’ incoming attacks, simply vanished as if he didn’t exist and appeared somewhere far away.

His golden eyes shined with a playful glint as he looked at the Infinities and—

"What’s with the surprise?

I told you before, did I not?

You are all creatures I deem beneath myself."

He grinned.

Then, without looking at anyone in particular—

"Well, I do admit, if it wasn’t for a few of you holding everyone back, you would have had better chances."

He commented.

Again, the goal was to put some form of discord amongst them and gain some time. And for a moment, it seemed like it was working.

Ul’Thakar’s eyes shined at his words as he looked around, Zylarith narrowed his eyes, a few more relics appeared around Orravyn, Equarios adjusted his Grand Scale of Balance, preparing to make Nux pay the price of the impossibility he played with and Seraphielle stabilized herself, golden blood came out from her mouth, but the next instant, it disappeared.

She looked like she was trying to find whose fault it was that she was targeted. Seeing that look on her face, Nux inwardly felt a little hopeful, his trick might work but—

"To think you would try something so childish in front of us.

You really do look down upon us, don’t you?"

Seraphielle looked at him with a surprised smile.

"Well, it’s not exactly the kid’s fault, we did go to War because of him."

Ul’Thakar grinned as well.

"If only they understood how much the two of you crave War."

Orravyn chuckled.

"We don’t exactly crave it, it’s just fun to let off some steam every once in a while."

Seraphielle explained herself.

Orravyn rolled his eyes.

The rest of the Infinities were the same, all of them were smiling at Nux as if he had no clue where he was.

As for Nux—

He didn’t care.

His mind had shifted its attention to Zylarith’s memories before this conversation even began.

"Alright, enough chit-chat."

Zylarith spoke with a solemn look on his face as even denser Chaos appeared around him, the rest of the Infinities nodded.

Their smiles disappeared as well.

The party time was over.

It was now time to end this.
