Super Soldier in the City
Chapter 2303 - 2367: Upsetting Matters
With a thud, Li Yifei directly kicked the person flying out. He put force into this kick to the chest, and the first person who rushed in was blocked and received Li Yifei’s kick. The immense power sent the person straight out, colliding into the people behind him, followed by a series of painful cries. Several people crashed against the door opposite and fell to the ground one after another, piling on top of each other with painful groans, clearly not expecting such a thing to happen.
A few seconds later, Li Yifei stepped out. He had already seen clearly how these people were dressed; they were indeed wearing real police uniforms, complete with handcuffs and batons. The service staff who opened the door was staring blankly at Li Yifei, clearly not expecting such a scene.
"You... you dare assault a police officer!" a policeman, clutching his chest in pain, climbed up and pointed at Li Yifei.
"Do you really count as a police officer?" Li Yifei retorted.
"Bullshit, I am a police officer. You better kneel down for me right now!" the policeman cursed.
Li Yifei smirked coldly and said, "Some kind of police officer. Breaking into my room without permission and still daring to tell me to kneel? You guys have some nerve!"
"Screw you!" Upon hearing Li Yifei’s words, the policeman immediately pulled a baton from behind and was about to smash it onto Li Yifei.
How could Li Yifei be hit by such scum. So he directly lifted his leg and kicked the policeman in the belly, sending him flying out.
"What nonsense, knowing the law and still breaking it, and daring to bite people like a mad dog. None of you are leaving until I get an explanation." Li Yifei said coldly.
There were five police officers in total. Li Yifei’s first kick knocked down four, and the only one who got up was also kicked down by Li Yifei, lying on the ground as well. Li Yifei turned his head to look at the service staff, who promptly shook their head and hands, stuttering, "No... it’s not my fault, I was just... ordered by them to open the door!"
"How much does a room like this cost per day?" Li Yifei asked.
"One... one day is 2888," the service staff replied!
"Alright, I pay 2888 per day for this kind of service? Why can these scumbags barge in at will?" Li Yifei asked coldly, and the service staff showed a miserable expression, repeatedly saying, "Sir, it really has nothing to do with me. They just came to the hotel downstairs, suspecting there’s a drug dealer here, and demanded the hotel cooperate in the arrest. We... we had no choice but to comply!"
Li Yifei sneered. Of course, these people wouldn’t just come out of nowhere to arrest a drug dealer, so there must be a reason behind it.
Looking again at the police officers, Li Yifei walked over and took out a police certificate from one of their pockets. Opening it he found they were police from the nearby police station.
"Okay, wearing these uniforms and doing such things?" Li Yifei looked down at the police officers, one of whom recovered and glared at Li Yifei, threatening, "Boy, you’d better be sensible and apologize to us, or I’ll handcuff you and take you back to suffer!"
"I’m so scared of what you said!" Li Yifei said, without a trace of fear in him, and looked at the officer, saying: "You better give me an explanation too, or I guarantee you won’t be able to wear those uniforms anymore and will have to go to jail!"
"Bah, you think you can?" the threatening officer spat, aiming at Li Yifei.
Li Yifei dodged and swung a kick back, this time directly hitting the officer’s face. With a spurt, blood spewed from the officer’s mouth, knocking out two teeth, and his head hit the wall, seemingly knocking him out.
The other police officers looked shocked; it was the first time they had encountered someone so ruthless, and they looked at each other, momentarily unable to say anything. However, after hitting the person, Li Yifei showed no sense of having gotten himself into trouble, only walked over, and wiped his foot on the unconscious officer to seemingly wipe the blood off his slippers.
"You... are too arrogant, this is not over today!" one officer said, seemingly lacking confidence.
Li Yifei nodded and said: "Certainly not over, I never intended it to be. Since you’re here, none of you should expect to leave easily!"
They had encountered tough people before, but really, not many to this degree, completely unafraid of their authority. So the officers instinctively looked at one among them, apparently their leader, whom Li Yifei also looked at.
This person was not tall, indeed, only about 1.7 meters, with a thin stature, dark complexion, and bright black eyes, an appearance more akin to a thief rather than an officer. As everyone looked at him, he panicked inside.
"Since everyone is looking at you, why don’t you speak?" Li Yifei said calmly.
The cop’s heart hardened as he said, "We received a tip-off from a concerned citizen stating there were drug dealers in this room and also gatherings of lewd conduct, so we came over. I didn’t expect you to resist arrest and assault an officer, kid, you’re in big trouble!"
"Let’s set aside the suspicion for now, what did you say about me at the end?" Li Yifei squinted his eyes, crouched down in front of him, and asked.
"I said you resisted arrest and assaulted an officer!" the man replied loudly.
"Oh!" Li Yifei nodded, as if he understood clearly, but then raised his hand and slapped the man’s face, delivering a crisp smack that spun him around, causing his shoulder to crash into the wall, crying out in pain.
"You call this assaulting an officer? This is called beating up a shameless scoundrel." Li Yifei stood up and pointed at him, cursing, "I was just staying here minding my own business, and you barged in with your people without permission. It’s a light punishment that I didn’t beat you to death. What the hell, you got used to bullying common folk and now you think you can bully me!"
Hiss... This guy... this guy is really tough! The other cops suddenly dared not make a sound, not because they were afraid of being hit, but because they suddenly realized the truth: today, this matter... could really end badly. They’re probably not here to catch drug dealers, but rather being used by their captain, why is a drug dealer acting so arrogantly? Why is he so clear-headed? And his complexion doesn’t look right, either. Besides, such an arrogant drug dealer is either someone with a huge background or a desperado, but from his calm demeanor, he’s clearly the former!
Of course, it’s more likely that he is not a drug dealer, but... the group once again looked at the dizzy captain who got slapped, feeling a chill in their hearts, and realized maybe this guy used us to find trouble with someone else and ended up hitting a hard wall.
Thinking of this, one of them said, "Sir... we’re very sorry, we indeed made a mistake, but we were just following the captain. He said there were drug dealers here, telling us to help with the arrest, fearing we’d miss them with too few people!"
"Heh!" Li Yifei sneered, thinking to himself, see, fortresses are usually internally undermined, just a couple of hits and they’re already turning against one another.
"You guys!" The captain felt a chill upon hearing this.
Li Yifei interrupted him, saying, "Alright, since that’s the case, the captain is at fault, but you guys better not make a move either. Don’t blame me for bullying you; let me make this clear: if any of you try anything, I don’t care if you are a regular cop or some high-ranking official, you’ll all be out of a job!"
Such capability? The little cops felt even colder upon hearing this. Of course, it was very possible the other party was bluffing, but what if he wasn’t? That would make their situation even more unfortunate. So it’s better to be honest and not provoke the other side.
Thinking this, the little cops stopped moving completely, and the captain’s heart chilled, even starting to regret massively. Had he known, he wouldn’t have taken this task. Now, here he is, neither capturing anyone nor solving anything, but instead getting himself into trouble. Looking at the opponent’s demeanor, it seems clear he won’t rest until he gets to the bottom of it.
Ignoring the pain in his face and shoulder, the captain staggered to his feet and said in a low voice, "I accept defeat, I admit it was my mistake, but this is not the place to talk, how about we go inside and discuss?"
"Why go inside to talk? What do I have to discuss with you?" Li Yifei retorted.
The man’s face looked even worse as he said, "I... want to confess. I didn’t target you willingly; to be honest, I was under orders from someone else, but I couldn’t refuse that person!"
"Oh, I’m curious now. Aren’t you a cop? And apparently a Principal Rank captain at that. How come you ended up being manipulated, unable to control your actions? Who in this world can threaten the police?" Li Yifei ridiculed.
The cop’s face darkened further, and the other cops looked grim too. But surprisingly, they weren’t that angry with Li Yifei for hitting them but felt furious at the captain. Damned bastard indeed came to cause trouble and dragged us along to fool people. Isn’t this deceit? If this mess goes public, even if they were deceived, they couldn’t escape a major punishment, affecting future wages and ranks.
"I... I’m not doing it willingly. I really couldn’t say no to that person’s requests." The captain lamented with a mournful face.
"Oh, so he paid you a lot of money?" Li Yifei asked.
"Yes... no, his identity is very special, and I couldn’t refuse; it’s inconvenient to talk here. Can we go inside?" the captain pleaded.
Indeed, after the commotion, several people came down the corridor, and a few floor service staff also ran over to check what was going on. Such a scene was rare to witness: cops being beaten by a civilian and turning around to plead for mercy.
"Now you know what it means to be disgraceful?" Li Yifei looked at him disdainfully. He respected the police, respected the military, but the premise was that the other party was a competent officer or soldier. As for those who disgrace the profession and ruin its image, Li Yifei had never respected them.
Of course, Li Yifei also wanted to figure out who exactly was trying to set him up, especially with such a low tactic. This was something Li Yifei was determined to understand.
