The mattress creaked with the weight of tonight’s troubles, a contented sigh escaping Loraine’s lips as she sat down on the bed, utterly exhausted. While her body remained in top condition, her mind felt like it was on it’s last legs, the events of today replaying out in her mind as she thought back to the fight with the bandits.

’They warned me about this ring, and they seemed pretty terrified to lose it.’ She thought back, recalling the grim look of fear in the bandit leader’s eyes, her eyes wandering to the [Ring Of Storage] on her finger.

This ring was a Legendary Item, the fact that such a powerful, and equally valuable item casually rested on her finger continued to amaze her to no end, she honestly thought that it would be quite a while before she could get something like this, but she guessed that she probably just got lucky, happening to be at the right place, at the right time.

’I hope Jacob’s doing better now.’ She thought, a small smile tugging at her lips as she remembered the boy’s sweet smile and cute antics, already feeling like she missed him and wanted to see more of the child.

But alas, some things were just out of her control.

"Oh right, my Daily Quest, I almost forgot to collect the damn thing." Loraine muttered under her breath, scratching her head as she summoned forth her system panel, checking out her notifications as she saw the system message flash before her eyes once more.

She didn’t bother wasting another second, immediately tapping on the ’Yes’ option as more system notifications flashed in her vision, soft chimes echoing in her ears as a bundle of items manifested before her.

’Huh...so the Exp gain from daily quests is gonna remain the same, that’s a bummer, my level’s already pretty high now so leveling up will take a whole lot longer at this rate.’ She thought, a bit bummed out.

’But at least I managed to get something out of the daily quest, it looks like everything besides the experience points proves to be random.’

"Nothing wrong with a little gambling~" She said to herself, a boisterous laugh escaping her lips as she remembered all the times she would get shafted on Gacha games in her past life, her savings reaching a critical condition at one point as she was so determined to get her hands on an SSR, but always missing the 50/50.

’Eh...this is new.’ Loraine thought with a raised brow, confused as she tilted her head to the side for a moment, not really sure how to feel about this new Item. Unlike everything she had received so far, this one wasn’t combat-focused, it was almost like an emergency Item.

"I’m not sure whether to be happy, or treat this as some sort of divine warning." She said to herself, the threat of the ’Master’ looming heavily in her mind. She proceeded to store away the [Lucky Trinket], as she couldn’t do anything with it at the moment.

She then stood up from the mattress, walking over to her drawer as she pulled out the [Silver Knife] and [Stamina Reinforcement Potion], storing them inside her [Ring Of Storage] alongside her [Medical Recovery Kit] hidden in between her mattress.

"That should get rid of everything, I’m glad I don’t have to worry about Margret and the others walking in here and accidentally discovering my stuff." She said with a chuckle, a small smile curving on her lips.

"As for these clothes though..." She murmured, glancing down at her torn maid outfit. "I definitely need to get out of these. As much as I hate to say it....I look awful right now..."

Loraine sighed, but she didn’t have a choice, and walking around in a uniform that teased her skin wasn’t exactly the best look for a maid, especially one that belonged to a powerful family like hers.

She slipped out of the tattered maid outfit, and got dressed into a new one, she didn’t feel like taking a bath tonight as she had already used [Cleanse] on herself, so she was practically clean already.

"Now that that’s settled, perhaps I should take my time getting to see what else lies in this ring." Loraine said to herself, glancing at the [Ring Of Storage] on her finger as she moved her hand forward, preparing to summon all of what the ring held inside and on her room floor.

Just as she was about to do it however, a knock came from her door, startling the young maiden as she immediately pulled her hand back, slipping it into one of her pockets to hide the ring as she turned to face whoever was entering.

’Oh crap-!’ Loraine thought with a worried expression, wondering if Margret had come here to berate her once more.

To her surprise, as soon as the door creaked open a little, a pair of blue eyes peaked through, followed by the cascading waves of warm blonde locks as Sarah peaked in through the door.

"Loraine!" Sarah said, pushing the door fully open as she rushed in to embrace her friend.

Loraine met her embrace as she returned the hug, still a bit uncomfortable about the whole thing, but she wasn’t gonna tell her best friend to back off.

"What’s up?" Loraine asked, raising a brow as she looked down at the blonde maiden hugging her waist.

"I was looking everywhere for you," Sarah said, raising her head as her expression turned serious, a disappointed sigh escaping her lips as she gently unwrapped her arms around Loraine’s waist.

"Margret’s looking for you, she says its urgent and wants you to come with me immediately."

Loraine blinked in surprise, but quickly regained her composure. Margret was looking for her, and from the sounds of it, she didn’t sound like she was gonna try and beat her senseless, but she still kept her guard up as she knew that the old lady was rather unpredictable.

"What could Margret want with me-!"

"There’s not much time, we gotta hurry!"

Loraine was interrupted as Sarah grabbed her hand, starting to sprint out of her room and down the halls as she lead the way, a puzzled expression setting on Loraine’s features as they ran down the halls together.

’Just what could Margret want from me?’

’If it’s trouble...I’ll deal with it.’
