Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes
Chapter 146 - 141: Go Ask the Monkey King
’Huh, whose camp is this? It looks massive, packed with people.’
After a moment’s thought, Li Bolili ordered her Giant Dragon to the edge of the camp. Then, she shouted to a group of nervous, spear-wielding, armored soldiers, "Get your leader!"
Before long, Li Mingli appeared, escorted by numerous soldiers.
He was dressed in green robes with a Longsword on his back, and he had a cold, stern expression.
Xue Shentian, meanwhile, was mounted on a hippopotamus, hidden in the rear by a cloak and surrounded by several hundred archers.
Li Bolili could see Li Mingli’s information and identified him as the army’s leader. She called out in a clear voice, "There’s no need to be so tense. I’ve come uninvited, but I mean no harm. I just want to borrow some rations!"
"Borrow some rations?"
"Yes. I don’t need much for myself—just some Clear Water and dried rations would be fine, though fruit would be even better. My mount eats a bit more, though. How about three cows? Seeing as you have such a massive operation here, a few rations shouldn’t be a problem. Once I find my own provisions tomorrow, I’ll pay you back double."
"Heh, coming to me to borrow food... you’ve certainly come to the right place!"
Li Mingli gave a dry laugh. "To be honest, my army is also short on water and food. We can barely feed ourselves."
"Short on water and food? Who are you trying to kid? A camp this big, with all these tents, all these people, and horses too! And you’re telling me you’re short on supplies? If you don’t want to help, just say so. Why make up such a lame excuse?"
"Heh!"
Li Mingli’s smile didn’t reach his eyes.
Hidden in the rear, Xue Shentian narrowed his eyes.
Li Bolili added, "How about this: let’s cooperate. You have a large army, and I have a Giant Dragon. We can team up to explore Kun City! So, can you give me that food now? My Giant Dragon gets grumpy when it’s hungry!"
Li Mingli shook his head. "We really don’t have any."
"Tch, so stingy!" Li Bolili snorted, steering her Red Dragon into the sky. With a glint in her eye, she bellowed, "I am a Grand General under Wang Shanhe! Since you don’t know what’s good for you, I’ll have to teach you a lesson! Lucky, let them feel the despair of being dominated by a Giant Dragon!"
"ROAR!" The Giant Dragon cried out. It spread its massive wings, circled once in the sky, then suddenly looped back around. It opened its maw, and a torrent of Dragon Flame spewed forth.
The blast of Dragon Flame was like a firebomb. It struck the ground and the searing heat spread out instantly. A group of soldiers couldn’t get out of the way in time and were engulfed. They erupted in flames, screaming in agony before quickly collapsing to the ground, motionless.
"Damn it, she actually attacked!"
Li Mingli was stunned!
Xue Shentian rode his hippopotamus mount forward and said grimly, "You can tell just by looking at her that she’s one of those self-righteous, selfish types. If we were in my Prince Mansion, I would’ve had her dragged out and beheaded by now!"
"Mad! She’s coming back on her Giant Dragon to set more fires!"
"Hmph! Does she think I’m a pushover?" Xue Shentian was furious. After a string of setbacks, he finally exploded. "All soldiers, hear my command! Ready the Crossbow Carriages! Shoot that giant lizard out of the sky!"
"Yes, sir!"
The soldiers responded at once. After a moment of chaos, the hundred-thousand-strong army sprang into action. Racks of well-made Crossbow Carriages were rolled out. Bolts were loaded as if they were free and fired relentlessly at the Giant Dragon in the sky.
Li Bolili laughed maniacally. Watching the massive army below, she finally found an outlet for all her frustration. She controlled her Red Dragon, weaving through the air to dodge the bolts while spitting down blast after blast of Dragon Flame, setting fires and wreaking havoc everywhere.
"Hahahaha! A bunch of cannon fodder! What can you possibly do to my Giant Dragon? Listen up! I’ve come to destroy you on the orders of Wang Shanhe! Now all of you, die!"
Li Bolili didn’t forget to stir up more hatred for Wang Shanhe. ’I can’t possibly kill all of them,’ she thought. ’They’re camped out here. If the real Wang Shanhe shows up, the two sides might just start fighting the moment they meet.’
’Hmph, if I can’t beat you, I’ll just use your name to make enemies for you. I’ll slander you, frame you, and ruin your reputation. Let’s see how you handle that!’
With this in mind, Li Bolili started shouting even louder, brazenly proclaiming she had been sent by Wang Shanhe.
Down below, as Xue Shentian and his men listened, the name "Wang Shanhe" started to sound familiar.
"Wang Shanhe... from the Jade River valley... I think Lu Aqi mentioned him!"
Li Mingli suddenly slapped his thigh.
He and Xue Shentian had speculated that the Spiritual Artifact rice cooker was most likely in Wang Shanhe’s possession. They had just been too busy preparing supplies for the Secret Realm at the time to investigate further.
At that moment, it also dawned on Xue Shentian.
’A Player with the surname Wang... Wang Shanhe... the Spiritual Artifact rice cooker... the Monkey King... Don’t tell me the Player named Wang from my intelligence reports is actually Wang Shanhe!’
Xue Shentian looked at Li Mingli, who looked back at him.
Li Mingli said, "Your Highness, how did Wang Shanhe get involved with Players from the Western Continent?"
Xue Shentian replied, "I think this woman is spouting nonsense. She most likely has a grudge against Wang Shanhe. She probably lost to him at some point and is now deliberately trying to make enemies for him!"
Just then, Lu Aqi rushed over to Xue Shentian like a messenger. "Your Highness, this is bad! A large force has appeared to the north! They don’t seem friendly!"
"It’s the Player Alliance! An army a million strong! Things are about to get intense!"
Xue Shentian rubbed his temples hard and ordered, "We’ll deal with whatever comes our way. Retreat is not an option! We’ll hold our ground and see what they’re up to!"
Before long, a dark, swarming tide of goblins charged from the north.
It was an army a million strong!
But ninety percent of them were goblins.
Behind the main goblin force, armored off-road vehicles, Grizzly Tanks, and Motorcycles advanced slowly.
They were all driven by Players—over a hundred of them, including Chaos Lords and Adventurers. Without exception, they were all Players from the Western Continent of the Typhon World. They had gathered together to form an alliance, calling themselves the "Western Continent Alliance"!
The Western Continent Alliance only accepted Players from the Western Continent. Having grown to its current size, it had already recruited thirty members and killed more than ten Players from the Eastern Continent.
By now, the group of Western Continent Players following the goblin army had noticed the Red Dragon in the sky.
"There’s a battle ahead!"
"A Giant Dragon is attacking a camp!"
"A Giant Dragon! The only one who can control a Giant Dragon is her—Li Bolili!"
"It looks like Li Bolili is using her Giant Dragon to attack a camp belonging to Players from the Eastern Continent!"
"Send a message to the Eastern Continent Players ahead: surrender or die!"
After a heated discussion, the Western Continent Players actually came to a decision: "The main army will continue to advance! We’ll coordinate with the Giant Dragon and attack the Eastern Continent Player camp!"
When he saw the endless horde of goblins storm the camp and engage his soldiers, Xue Shentian’s face went pale. He roared, "A bunch of bandits, robbers, thugs, and villains! They didn’t even say a word, just attacked?!"
"The enemy is too numerous and powerful! We can’t hold them! Forget it!" Li Mingli clenched his fist tightly. "I’ll teleport west and ask the Monkey King to save us!"
