Second Genesis
Chapter 357: COME ON (1) [900 GT Bonus]
Grey walked forward.
With his first step, the first of the Steel-Toe Shrouds appeared, its metal frame forming over his Shadow Forces.
With his second, the second of them took shape. The ground shook as the steel spikes embedded into the ground, a large amount of Fog of Chaos erupting out of it as though being pulled toward Grey’s body.
He reached out a hand with his third step, the world flashing with solar flares of crimson. His claws ripped through the air, metallic nails scraping across the bounds of space itself. Digital pixels layered onto themselves.
BANG.
A tent collapsed to his side, shredded apart by sharp winds.
A grin spread across Grey’s face as butterfly wings spread from his back.
"Hey, asshat."
The Syrn’s attention had already entirely been on Grey from the very beginning.
"Don’t fucking blink."
BANG.
Grey’s words had just reached the Syrn’s ears when his fist collided into its gut.
BANG.
An instant later, the Syrn slammed into the ground.
BOOM. BOOM.
Concentric circles of exploding air covered its line to the ground, expanded out so far it looked like it had been fired from a blow dart. It buried itself deep into the earth, and for a moment there, it looked like Grey was standing in the skies themselves before he started to fall.
BANG.
"I have—."
BANG.
"Shamed your ancestors?" Grey grinned, landing on top of the Syrn and smashing its head back into the ground. "Yes. Yes the fuck you have."
BANG.
Grey punched again, and then again, and then again after that.
Reaching down, he grabbed one of their silky strands that supposedly went for hair.
Yanking to the side, he ripped it off.
The Syrn roared, seemingly realizing that this wasn’t a simple battle anymore, but Grey drove a spiked heel into its forehead, smashing it back down to the ground.
"Did I say you could get up, you piece of shit?"
Grey ground his heel down.
"I’m done when I say we’re done."
Grey lifted his foot and a bladed tail snaked for his crotch. He swiped a claw out at the air in response, a pained yelp leaving the Syrn’s mouth as he mangled the blade into scrap metal.
Grey caught the batted blade tail out of the air with his other gauntleted hand and pulled up, ripping it from the Syrn’s body and tossing it to the side.
Reaching down, Grey picked up the Syrn like he was grabbing its shirt, but it wasn’t wearing one. Instead, his claws sank into its flesh, digging between the alien’s ribcage as though it was fabric.
He pulled it up from the ground and smashed his head down onto its flat nose.
The vision of the Syrn swam with pain.
"Why aren’t you fighting back? Try harder. Your ancestors are rolling in their graves right now."
BANG.
Grey launched it up and kicked it away.
BANG. BANG. BANG.
It flew through a line of trees, its body bending and contorting to them every time it hit. What was left of its black light kept trying to protect it, but it only made things worse. Every time its body bent at an awkward angle, its already broken bones whined and grew all the more pained.
The instant it came to a stop, Grey had already appeared above it. His magnetic field butterfly wings spread out, growing further. One could practically hear the whirring sounds of magnets buzzing in the air, whining and groaning as the fire caught continuously.
Grey reached to the side, his claws splitting a tree into firewood. He caught a branching branch the size of a medium sized tree and stomped the ground.
It kicked up like a skateboard and he roared, swinging out the tree like a baseball bat.
BOOM.
The alien went flying into the skies.
Grey’s knees bent and his butterfly wings peeled back.
BANG.
He launched himself into the skies, the earth beneath him splintering and separating out into layered lines of curved waves.
His wings soared behind him, forming the long tail of a sail that accelerated him forth faster and faster.
Just as the Syrn turned down and started falling, Grey met it in the skies, rocketing a fist through its skull that shattered it into a rain of blood.
It fell from the skies, a bubbling appearing at its neck. The shrieks of banshees filled the air, but from on high, Grey looked like a dark gold sun, his grin only becoming more wild.
"I hope you’re watching." Grey’s voice roared through the skies.
It wasn’t clear who he was speaking to at all, but when he kicked at the air, falling toward the Syrn even faster than it was, it was hard to focus on anything else but his power.
He sounded like a ballistic missile whistling across the ocean, tearing through the skies so fast flames sparked across his body. And yet, instead of burning at him, the flaming particles grew into the length of his butterfly wings, peeling them back until they were so long and so high they pierced through the clouds themselves.
Grey exhaled a breath the instant the Syrn hit the earth. He was right behind it.
Before the earth could even ripple out with waves of destruction, Grey landed a fist that carried the weight of a nuclear bomb. It collided against the body of the Syrn. Its bubbling suddenly accelerated, but this time so much energy was poured into every one of its cells that it died at the most basic level.
BOOM.
A mushroom cloud launched itself into the air, waves bombarding against spectators who didn’t even know they were slack jawed. They simply couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
Grey’s laughter filled the air. He raised his hands, blades stretching out from his palms. His stats increased further, soaring over 5000 points each.
His laughter seemed to carry so much power with it that the accumulating dust clouds were split. They dispersed quickly, opening up to a sky with a giant falling from above.
"COME ON!"
Grey’s Vampire Lord Frame activated.
