Rejected by the Campus Belle, I Find My True Love
Chapter 570 - 568: That boy’s business sense is indeed terrifyingly strong.
As Chen Fang listened to Chen Ying’s explanation, her eyes lit up. "Sister, that sounds amazing!"
Chen Ying nodded, her voice firm. "Exactly. Let’s get a shower and go to bed early tonight. We’ll look for a house first thing tomorrow, and then we can start preparing."
A joyful smile bloomed on Chen Fang’s face, as if she could already see their wonderful future. "Okay, Sister!"
Overjoyed, Chen Fang went to take a shower.
Chen Ying continued to organize her suitcase. Since her other suitcases were too cumbersome to bring with her, she had sent them by express mail. They would arrive at the delivery point as early as tomorrow, which meant she had to find a house as soon as possible.
Chen Ying thought back to the past, when she always felt that adult life was easy and carefree. She used to fantasize about growing up quickly so she could live independently. However, now that she was truly an adult facing life’s many challenges, she realized there was a huge gap between her fantasies and reality.
Just as she was lost in thought, a call came in from Wu Xiaoya. She glanced at the time. Wu Xiaoya must be off work by now.
As soon as the call connected, Wu Xiaoya’s slightly tired voice came through. "Have you... arrived?"
Chen Ying smiled gently and responded, "I’ve arrived. I’m staying at a hotel right now."
Wu Xiaoya seemed a bit surprised. "Didn’t you say you were going to stay at your sister’s place when you got back?"
Chen Ying explained, "Her apartment is too small for two people, so I brought her with me to a hotel. We’ll start looking for a new place tomorrow."
"I see. Well, it’s good you have a place to stay. I just got off work and I’m pretty tired, so I’m about to head to bed. You can come visit me if you’re free."
Chen Ying hesitated for a moment. "Better not. I’m back in secret. Your place is a little too close to my old house, so I might run into someone I know if I go over."
Wu Xiaoya understood. "Okay, then I’ll come find you when I have a day off. Call me if you need anything."
"Okay."
Although they had once been the closest of friends, their tone was now slightly distant, as if an invisible veil hung between them.
A pity? Perhaps.
"Do you... have any specific plans now that you’re back?" Wu Xiaoya finally asked after a moment’s hesitation.
"My sister and I talked it over, and we’re planning to get into online sales," Chen Ying briefly explained.
Wu Xiaoya understood immediately. She had recently been helping Xue Yang with planning in the very same area, so she knew exactly what Chen Ying meant.
"By the way," she added, "I heard our boss plans to develop software related to online sales. I’ll let you know as soon as it launches so you can sign up."
Chen Ying was surprised. She had only just planned on heading in this direction, but Xue Yang was already a step ahead and preparing to conquer the emerging market.
That boy’s business acumen is terrifyingly sharp.
She smiled. "Great. Let me know when the software is out."
"Okay, good night."
"Good night."
After hanging up, Chen Ying stood before the 20th-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows. Below, the city glittered with the lights of a thousand homes, yet not a single one of them belonged to her.
Regret? Of course. But what’s the use? What’s lost is lost. No amount of regret can change that.

The discount frenzy at Yonghui Supermarket was nearing its end as customers thronged the aisles, searching for the last of the deals.
"Excuse me, is your boss not planning to restock?" a customer asked an employee.
The employee shook their head helplessly. "The boss has decided that the supermarket will temporarily close once this inventory sells out."
"What? When will it reopen? Will there be more sales like this one?" the customers anxiously asked.
Thanks to the grand sale, Yonghui Supermarket had recently become famous. It was now known not only in the local area but throughout all of Yancheng for its quality goods at low prices. Many people even drove for hours just to see what the fuss was about and find a good deal. The announcement that such a popular supermarket would temporarily close after its inventory was gone left many customers surprised and dismayed.
They speculated that the supermarket was perhaps undergoing internal restructuring or preparing for an even larger promotional event. Whatever the case, they were sad to lose this affordable shopping paradise.

At that very moment, the supermarket’s new owner, Xue Yang, was sitting in the sixth-floor office area. He had convened the first formal team meeting with the supermarket’s managers. This group now included Ming Yue, who had just transferred from her family’s company.
Ming Yue sat among them, feeling quite surprised. She had assumed it would take a significant effort to join this team. But unexpectedly, after her father heard Xue Yang’s plan, he had only paused for a moment before agreeing to let her go.
"Cui Hao," Xue Yang began, his gaze turning to him, "can we completely clear out the supermarket’s inventory today?"
Cui Hao replied, "There’s nothing left in the warehouse. All remaining products have been put out on the shelves as planned. We expect to sell everything by the end of the day."
Xue Yang nodded, his determined gaze sweeping over everyone present. "Everyone, thank you for your hard work and dedication. Today, we are approaching a pivotal moment. This isn’t just a major test for our supermarket, but a comprehensive test of our team’s capabilities."
He paused before continuing, "I know you’ve all put in a tremendous amount of effort. But I believe that effort will not be in vain. Today, we will witness this historic moment together. We will face new challenges together and create a new, brilliant future."
Ming Yue was deeply moved by his words, feeling the team’s cohesion and sense of unity. She knew joining this team had been the right choice. She would work alongside all of them to build the supermarket’s future.
Xue Yang spoke again. "Now, let’s discuss the next phase. Clearing out the inventory is only the first step of our plan. Next, we will implement a series of adjustments and reforms to adapt to market changes and enhance our competitiveness."
As Xue Yang elaborated on the plan, everyone began offering their own opinions and suggestions, filling the meeting room with a positive atmosphere and lively discussion.
Ming Yue participated enthusiastically, feeling that she was truly becoming an indispensable part of the team.
Xue Yang’s proposal also made her realize her own shortcomings. She had always known that online sales were gradually replacing traditional retail, but she had never really thought about how she herself should adapt to that change.
