As another day on the weekend, we're free to do anything. And the best part? We'd our members meant for advanced dungeon also free. Weekend were always the best!

"And that's why, I am thinking of exploring one of the intermediate-dungeon!"

"And that's why? Don't you think you've skipped some steps to explain how you reached that? Goodness. So, are you planning to clear it in one day?"

Ooh! It's the return of Sierra's stern gaze. It's truly been a while! Thank you very much, Sierra-sama!

Ah, but she brought in a good question. I was indeed vague with my words. To be precise, I wasn't exactly thinking of blitz clear. We're going to properly clear it. Yeah, so I definitely wasn't vague with my words on purpose to get that reaction from Sierra.

"Well, I meant we shall see how far we can explore. Advanced dungeons are within our target, but I am not in a hurry to throw the gauntlet right away. I would like to prepare ourselves before diving in."

One of the requirements to enter the advanced dungeon was each party member must have cleared five intermediate-high dungeons.

"We have the Conqueror's Mark for «Rank 7» dungeon «Armored Beasts of Iron Plain», and «Rank 4» dungeon «The Mountain of Fierce Demons Dungeon». And we're currently 20 floors deep into another «Rank 4» dungeon «Mellow Apple Dungeon»."

To put it short, we're midway to clear the condition for Adv-low dungeon. I explained the current details to Lana, Ester, Sierra, and Ester.

"Does this mean we're going to the «Apple Dungeon» today?!"

Lana inquired, excitedly leaning forward. She really wore her emotions on her sleeve, eh?

"This one is meant to be, but for today, I am thinking of another dungeon. It would be better to grind for level at the last dungeon, so I would like to postpone it, and first get the clearance going."

For maximum gain, it would be far more efficient to grind level at once at the last dungeon by farming boss, getting our job's level to 15, the limit we can reach amidst the intermediate dungeon rank.

At the threshold, the experience gain was going to be so meagre staying idle would be more efficient.

"That makes sense. In that case, the last dungeon would be the highest rank dungeon, I presume?"

"Sharp as always, Sierra. Yes, I have already decided which will be our 5th dungeon. «Twilight Altar», a «Rank 10» dungeon. This would be our farming spot to grind for levels as well. It rewards ample experience and ample rewards. So it’s two birds with one stone!"

This was the best dungeon to hit if anyone wanted to hit the level limit. And honestly, the valuable drops just made it even more enticing. This was important, just to be clear.

We're going to finish with a bang.

"I have heard of «Twilight Dungeon». Apparently, it's perpetually locked into the moment of twilight, and crowded with altars with bonfires around. They say it's quite a unique dungeon."

"Yes, that's spot on, Ester. I have decided it to be our last stop, so I would like to clear the remaining other dungeons first."

"It does make sense."

Sierra nodded, convinced at my explanation.

Of the three dungeons left, Twilight Altar and Mellow Apple were finalised. So, in the end, this left one more dungeon which was what I had in plan for today.

"Is it clear so far, Karua?"

"Hm. All in. I will do my best."

"You didn't understand it at all?"

Oh well. She really didn't have any interest in dungeons. I will just explain to her later.

"So, which is the dungeon we're going to today then? ...Or, is it the rank 9 as I am thinking?"

"Well, no. The Rank 9 dungeon «Valley of Predator Birds» is choked full with flying monsters. We need ranged experts for them, and our current vanguard party is not that well suited for it."

After all, we're best at close-ranged combat in the current party. This meant the next dungeon should generally be a «Rank 6» dungeon or below. But that was out of option, because—

"The other dungeons I have heard of are «Rank 1» dungeon «Summar Priarie», «Rank 2» dungeon «Garden of Horned Rabbit», and «Rank 3» dungeon «Reckless Charge», but neither would help in level up."

That's right. The lower ranked dungeon's experience reward wasn't even enough to get stuck in teeth.

We're currently at the average of LV8~LV11. The Rank 1~3 dungeons were suitable only up to LV8. Next would be Rank 4~7 dungeons which had the threshold of LV12. To hit LV15, the only further options were Rank 8~10 dungeon.

Speaking of that, I picked up only high ranking guilds challenges dungeon above Rank 8 in this academy, or well, that was the case until now. Apparently, the tide took a turn recently. The reason was obvious.

Anyway, I digress. The above options were futile for us, clearly.

"There's also «Deserted Castle Dungeon». Well, this one is teeming with evil spirits and spectres for the most par—"

"We should target «Spirits of Four Season Dungeon»."

Sierra suggested, her voice unusually dignified.

As ever, ghosts truly were her bane. So much so she cut my words and decisively set our today's target.

Ghosts were the staple of RPGs. There would at least be one area or dungeon teeming with ghosts and so on in the ten options. As a Rank 6 dungeon, it was quite an alright option too. The Deserted Castle appeared like a typical western style mansion on the upper floors, but the deeper you venture, the more it would expand into castle architecture. Yet, as massive the castle was, it was entirely devoid of living people's presence. At the same time, you would always end up with rows of paintings on the walls or armor statues at every corner. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

If you're a horror genre fan, this was a dead giveaway what to expect next—spirits of people from painting or armor statues coming to life!

Yeah, Sierra was certainly better off staying away from it.

Of course, I would've liked to explore it since its style—a western style castle—meant it was just brimming with hidden rooms and all. There were many drops to find, but oh well. I guess I would've to try it out another time.

"Alright, then it's settled. We're going to visit «Spirits of Four Seasons Dungeon»!"

This should be one of the few times we decided on a dungeon via elimination method. Not that it was a problem. This dungeon also drops some fine materials and all. The most sought item was «Recovery Mushroom» which could recover both HP and MP. I really want them for Hannah.

Once it was set, we swiftly departed for the «Intermediate Gate».
