"Why did you come, Kael?" Emperor Zain asked after thinking carefully.

Kael turned away from the window and looked directly into Emperor Zain’s ordinary-looking eyes, "I came to take what all that I’m owed."

Emperor Zain frowned, he had heard that Kael would use this language. It was a sign that things may start to become way more difficult from now on.

"I don’t think I owe you anything, Kael," Emperor Zain said, then brought the teacup up to his mouth to sip his hot tea.

"Oh, but you do," Kael said as he suddenly stood up. Emperor Zain remained calm and silent, keeping his eyes on the surface of the hot tea.

"You see, when we formed an alliance, our goal was to take down Ibadon, the Destruction Dragon Empire was merely collateral.

Unfortunately for me and my poor lion race, we suffered a lot in that final battle. Hundreds of billions of us died, just like that.

We lost many of our kind, and we also lost a lot of powerful lions. We lost a whole Central Coverage for a long period of time.

My lion race lost their All-King for a full twenty years.

We lost our holding for a long period of time too.

It was a pity.

However, while my lion race was trying to recover, the Creation Dragons were busy swallowing up the Draconic Heaven and claiming resources for themselves.

You took the Destruction Dragons and brutally killed them off, chasing the remaining out of their home. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

You have harboured the remaining horses in your dungeons, preparing them for things only you know.

You have been rebuilding your empire while we were struggling to hold ourselves from crumbling.

Do you see? Emperor Zain, you owe me.

I did not gain anything from that alliance, but you seem to be prospering.

I cannot possibly sit by and let that slide, no no no.

You either give me my share or we suffer together. I refuse to suffer alone."

"..."

"..."

"Hmm," Now, Emperor Zain was not smiling at all and his expression had become incredibly cold.

"Are you threatening me, Kael?" He asked.

Kael laughed and walked to the window, "Look at the beautiful empire you have built for your dragons.

It would be a shame if a few Supreme Immortals came here to cause some trouble wouldn’t it?

You may survive, but what about all the progress that you have made?

Emperor Zain, you know me. I don’t make threats, I AM the threat, and I will always take action."

Kael smiled kindly while looking through the window to observe the silver sky and the distant dots of multicoloured lights in the distance.

Emperor Zain looked at Kael’s back. He frowned. This was a clone, even if he attacked now, it would only worsen the situation and cement the fate.

Once again, Emperor Zain felt helpless against someone who was not even as strong as he was.

The rumours were true, all those who formed alliances with the lions ended up regretting it.

He had thought that it was a sacrifice he would be willing to make but now he was thinking maybe he might have been wrong.

If only Kael had died in that blast...

"You know that the enemies you left in Original Heaven wouldn’t let you go right? Would they not?

What has happened now is the main reason why they didn’t even want to let you guys out in the first place.

Only one day and you lion had already started a blazing offense against the bees. It is a perfect example of why your enemies will continue to increase and be more determined to stop you," Emperor Zain said.

He put the cup of tea on the marble table. He was no longer in the mood for tea and it now tasted very bitter.

Kael shrugged, "To have the whole Original Heaven organised just to keep us locked up, that’s very flattering I wouldn’t lie.

Wouldn’t you like to be that important, Zain? Imagine the whole world ganging up just to keep you suppressed.

That’s what we call suffering from success.

Oh, you can’t relate? It’s fine..." Kael seemed to be having a good time though as his shoulders went up and down like he was trying to hold his laughter.

Emperor Zain’s expression was ugly. Of course, it would be flattering to have the whole world gang up on him and still not be able to do anything but that was a pipe dream.

"Your fantasies are nice, Kael, but they will come to an end.

Like I said, those enemies you left in Original Heaven will not let you go, they will all start coming out. I am sure even the great God of Origin will shift in his slumber to relax the restrictions on the Original Heaven.

Soon, you will be facing the full might of a lot of cosmic factions."

This time, Kael laughed. His deep voice echoed into the walls and literally resounded throughout the whole palace.

"They couldn’t hold us back now, what makes you think they will be able to hold us back when they come out?" He asked.

It was a genuine question that needed a genuine answer. The only way to stop the lions was to either be more powerful than them, or have a better strategy.

So far, the first option was very likely but the Lions were literally one of the masters of strategies. It may not be their instincts but countless years managing vassals have helped them hone their strategic prowess.

"Kael! You are going too far!" Emperor Zain said.

"How? I’m just stating the obvious. I mean, the lions are just picking off their main enemies one by one.

Once we are done with the bees, we will naturally shift our focus to the ones who owe us. You and your empire.

Tell me Emperor Zain! The lions have been withstanding the power of so many factions at once. Can you imagine what would happen if the lions decided to channel all their ferocity on your Creation Dragons?

Don’t forget what Noel did to the Tigers during his own time. We are fully capable of doing that to you guys and this time, we’ll finish the job!"

Threat after threat after threat. It was subtle but Kael’s words were like knives of logic stabbing into Zain’s brain.

It hurt because there was a sliver of truth in what the All-King said.

"..." Emperor Zain was furious, absolutely furious. So furious that he did not talk for fear that he would say something that would just lead to a battle right now.

All the gusto that Zain had when Kael walked in was gone. How could he still have his pride and ego intact when the All-King was there?

Kael turned away from the window to look at Emperor Zain. He didn’t seem to care about the latter’s anger. He was unbothered and couldn’t give two fucks.

"So, Emperor Zain, will you be paying me or shall we invade Draconic Heaven next?"
