After purchasing a large quantity of Demon Souls from a shop, Song Wen stepped out onto the streets of Great Tan City.

As he walked, he occasionally glanced in the direction of the Spirit Jade Palace, still undecided about whether to venture into the Turbid Spirit Realm.

While the Pure Origin Heavenly Dew was rare, his life was far more precious.

Just as he was hesitating, he suddenly felt a faint vibration from a Communication Jade Slip in his storage ring.

He initially assumed it was a message from Bai Wei, but when he retrieved the jade slip, he discovered the sender was Mi Man.

[Lei Yue, if you receive this message, please reply as soon as possible. I require your assistance with something urgent.]

"What does she want from me? Bai Wei just asked me to save Xu Mengyu, and now Mi Man’s here too. Do they think I’m some kind of selfless do-gooder?"

While pondering this, Song Wen turned into a secluded alley and seized the opportunity to reply to Mi Man.

[Fellow Daoist Mi Man, what is the matter?]

The moment his message was sent, Mi Man responded almost immediately.

[I need someone proficient in thunder magic to help me refine a spiritual object.]

[How do you know I’m proficient in thunder magic?] Song Wen asked.

Mi Man replied, [Decades ago, you used thunder magic to save Xu Mengyu, Che Jing, and Liu Shanshan in the Primordial Qi Death Zone. I learned of this from Che Jing. Would you consider helping me this once, given that I once searched for Mingqing Grass for you and recently invited you to the Gu Master Exchange Conference?]

[Fellow Daoist, I paid you handsomely in spirit stones for both those matters," Song Wen replied. "If you wish me to act, shouldn’t you offer some compensation as well?]

[Where are you? I’ll come find you. We can discuss the compensation in person,] Mi Man suggested.

[Very well, I’ll wait for you at Auspicious Jade Mountain,] Song Wen agreed.

[Auspicious Jade Mountain is too crowded and inconvenient. Let’s find a quieter place,] Mi Man countered.

Song Wen didn’t immediately reply. Instead, he abruptly looked up.

He realized the alley led to another main street.

Directly across the alley stood an exceptionally ornate and eye-catching pavilion. Above its grand entrance hung a plaque inscribed with three large characters: "Jade Cauldron Pavilion."

[Then come to the Jade Cauldron Pavilion,] Song Wen finally replied.

With that, Song Wen strode toward the magnificent pavilion, ceasing all further communication despite the jade slip continuing to vibrate insistently.

"Welcome, esteemed guest! Please come in quickly!"

As Song Wen approached the entrance of the Jade Cauldron Pavilion, two exquisitely dressed young women seized his arms and practically dragged him inside.

The moment he stepped through the door, his eyes were met with a vast and opulent hall.

Dozens of wooden tables filled the hall, each surrounded by cultivators drinking and laughing heartily.

Scantily clad women moved among the tables, their sheer veils and open robes revealing glimpses of their bodies. Their eyes were as alluring as silk, and their lips burned like crimson flames.

Some nestled in the arms of patrons, while others swayed their slender waists in graceful dances.

It was clear: the Jade Cauldron Pavilion was a brothel.

"Young master, you’re quite handsome, but I don’t recognize you. Is this your first time at our Jade Cauldron Pavilion?" A slightly plump madam greeted him with a practiced smile.

Seeing the madam approach, the two women released Song Wen’s arms and returned to their posts outside the entrance—their sole duty was to attract customers.

Without waiting for Song Wen’s reply, the madam continued, her face plastered with a fawning smile.

"Would you prefer to watch the song and dance performances in the main hall, or would you like to retire to the rear courtyard and have some company?"

"The rear courtyard, please, but no company," Song Wen said.

"No company?"

The madam paused, slightly surprised, but said nothing more. She summoned a maid to lead Song Wen to the rear courtyard.

Following the winding path through the rear courtyard, Song Wen listened to the occasional high-pitched warbling of orioles from the surrounding courtyards. He soon arrived at Courtyard Seventy-Two.

After dismissing the serving girls, Song Wen entered the wooden cottage within the courtyard, sat on the low couch, and quickly transformed his appearance into that of Lei Yue.

Only then did he retrieve Mi Man’s Communication Jade Slip.

During his time at the Jade Cauldron Pavilion, Mi Man had sent him multiple messages, all urging him to change their meeting location.

Ignoring her requests, Song Wen replied:

Courtyard Seventy-Two at the Jade Cauldron Pavilion. Fellow Daoist, if you wish to meet me, please come quickly.

Moments later, Mi Man arrived, her entire figure shrouded in a black cloak, clearly unwilling to be recognized.

She lowered her hood, revealing her true face, and glanced around the room.

Crimson curtains hung from the bed, swaying like a woman’s flowing skirt. A screen depicted vividly lifelike, provocatively posed courtesans. An incense burner on the round table emitted wisps of fragrant smoke, its rich aroma clearly aphrodisiac.

Every detail in the room exuded an air of sensual allure.

"Lei Yue, what are you doing here?" Mi Man asked, her brow furrowed, clearly uncomfortable in the opulent setting.

Song Wen reclined on the bed, a faint, mischievous smile playing on his lips, radiating an air of indolent debauchery.

"What else would I be doing? Seeking pleasure, of course."

"I thought you were solely focused on pursuing immortality," Mi Man said. "I never imagined you’d indulge in carnal pleasures."

"Such desires are only natural," Song Wen replied. "I’m a cultivator, not a celibate, ascetic monk. Fellow Daoist, why don’t you tell me what you really want? If you keep avoiding the matter, I might just call a girl in."

Mi Man pursed her lips and walked to the wooden table, where she sat down before speaking. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"I’ve obtained some Formless Weak Water and wish to refine it into my natal magic treasure. However, the water isn’t pure; it contains traces of Yin Energy. I need your thunder magic to help me purify it."

"Where is the Formless Weak Water?" Song Wen asked. "Let me see it first."

Without hesitation, Mi Man produced a square jade box.

The jade box opened, revealing a pale blue liquid filling most of the container.

The liquid resembled amber, with countless star-like particles suspended within, as if the cosmos itself were swirling in the water.

A sharp glint flashed in Song Wen’s eyes.

Since the Blood Sea Seal had been upgraded to a mid-grade spirit treasure, its power had remained stagnant.

This Formless Weak Water, with its properties perfectly complementing the Blood Sea Seal, seemed ideal for integration.

However, the potency of this particular batch was somewhat lacking, making it of limited use for the current Blood Sea Seal. Moreover, the trace of Yin Energy within significantly diminished its value.

Perhaps I should seek out more potent Weak Water to merge with the Blood Sea Seal, Song Wen mused.

With renewed purpose, he abandoned his earlier languid posture and rose from his seat.

"Fellow Daoist Mi Man," Song Wen asked with a warm smile, "did you obtain this Formless Weak Water from your sect? Does your sect possess any more extraordinary Weak Water?"

The Spirit Jade Palace’s cultivation techniques leaned toward the Yin and feminine, with most of its disciples being women. It was therefore unsurprising that the sect would hoard water-attribute spiritual objects.
