Rebirth: Pampered by the Lord
Chapter 2222: Drunken Sky Building
Lin Kong didn’t know what was on Xuexue’s mind and casually replied, "Probably not."
Xuexue: "Really?"
Lin Kong: "Of course, if a hand is gone, it can’t grow back, right?"
"That’s true, growing back a hand only happens in stories."
Upon hearing this, Xuexue nodded and said nothing more, afraid that saying too much would arouse Lin Kong’s suspicion.
At this moment, they had just walked out of the Celestial Master’s Mansion and arrived at the carriage. Xuexue stopped and said to Lin Kong, "Young Master Zhao, farewell."
Lin Kong grew more and more curious about Xuexue. This woman was clearly raised in the countryside, yet she mastered martial arts and was doing business; it was quite baffling.
"Miss Situ, it’s already noon. May I have the honor of inviting you to the restaurant for a meal?" Lin Kong’s eyes were bright as he looked at Xuexue.
Xuexue looked up at the sky; the sun was high. It was indeed time for lunch, so she nodded and said, "Alright."
Even though Lin Kong was a dangerous figure, as the saying goes, you can’t catch a tiger if you don’t enter its den. Xuexue wanted to get in touch with him and gather some information.
Drunken Sky Building.
The waiter greeted them with a wide smile: "Are you here to eat or stay?"
Xuexue glanced at him and said irritably, "Do we look like we’re here to stay?"
The waiter took a closer look and saw they were empty-handed with no luggage, unlike guests from afar. He then smiled and asked, "Would you like to dine on the first floor, or in a private room on the second floor?"
Lin Kong haughtily said, "We want a private room on the second floor."
Upon hearing this, the waiter smiled even more brightly. Private rooms were for distinguished guests and cost significantly more than the first-floor hall: "Alright! Absolutely!"
"Please, this way!" The waiter bowed with a smile, gesturing for them to follow.
Drunken Sky Building was famous in the Capital, especially known for its drunken chicken. Every guest visiting the Capital would come here for the renowned dish. As a result, business was booming, and since it was noon, the restaurant was almost full.
The waiter led them to the second floor, passing several private rooms before finding one that was empty.
The waiter discreetly wiped the sweat off his forehead and smiled, "Oh my! You two are really lucky. We have one private room left."
With that, he opened the door and said to them, "Please, come in."
Xuexue was puzzled and asked the waiter, "Little brother, didn’t you know the private rooms on the second floor were nearly full when you brought us up?"
The waiter, a bit embarrassed, scratched his head and laughed, "At this time of day, it’s so busy and I get a bit dizzy, so I just forgot."
Lin Kong said coldly, "You’re lucky. If we’d come up and there were no private rooms, this restaurant wouldn’t need to operate anymore."
The waiter, with a sycophantic smile, nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, whatever the guest says is right."
Xuexue glanced at Lin Kong and said to the waiter, who was acting perfunctorily, "Little brother, don’t you underestimate him. Do you know who he is?"
The waiter shook his head cluelessly, "I don’t know."
Xuexue: "He’s the Master of the Fourth Prince. If you don’t host him well and the Fourth Prince gets angry, tearing down this restaurant would be a minor issue."
Upon hearing this, the waiter was shocked and immediately put away his smile, nodding and bowing swiftly, "Yes, yes, I’m blind. Miss, your teaching is correct." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
After Lin Kong and Xuexue sat down, they hadn’t even ordered yet before the waiter ran off.
"Hey, hey, hey! Why...why did he just leave?" Xuexue held the menu, looking at the waiter’s back in confusion and asked.
