Raising Yanderes to save the world
Chapter 47: Ch : Gaining favor with Demon Queen
The Demon Queen looked instantly agitated at Kael’s suggestion. But it did not surprise him as much as it should have.
He had just named her with her real name, so it was only right for the Demon Queen to be suspicious.
Thankfully, she was not rejecting the food he gave her.
In fact, she seemed to be enjoying it quite a lot.
"You can rest here for now. My room is across the hallway, so you can come and get me if you need anything. I usually don’t bother explaining such things to wild beasts, but I have a feeling that you are intelligent enough to understand."
Kael reached out to pet Lyra, and her body melted against his hand for a few seconds. Then she realized what she was doing and pulled back with a growl.
She likely needed some time to adjust her thoughts and come to terms with what had happened, so Kael decided to leave her alone. He had his own stuff to finish as well.

’Looks like this is going to be a long one. But I will somehow get Lyra to trust me before her curse breaks. That way, the war between humans and demons won’t come to pass.’
Kael made his way to his door before he heard a loud noise coming from Lyra’s room. That made him pause to see what was happening.
He moved toward the door to open it, but Lyra surprised him by opening it herself somehow.
’Tsk, how did she do that? It seems like becoming a beast has not dulled her mind. I will need to use stricter means to keep her inside.’
_________
’This human is weird. I feel like he knows that I am not a real beast. But he is still not getting rid of me. Is he waiting to experiment on me? Shit! I need to get out of here, and fast.’
Lyra waited for Kael to close the door before she pushed her body around.
The food had finally settled in her stomach, and it was making her feel warm and lazy. Her cursed body was telling her that it needed rest to recover.
But Lyra had no time for this nonsense.
She was in human territory, which was enemy territory. There was hardly any demonic magic here for her to use.
"First, let’s get out of this room. If this is truly the place of a Grand Master, then there would be quite a few useful tools around. All I need to do is find one that can help me break this curse."
Lyra headed toward the door and tried to find a way to open it.
She did not see much, so she had only one option left.
’I can’t use much magic, but opening a door should be simple enough.’
She used her magic to turn the doorknob and open the exit.
’It seems I was worried for nothing. There is no way that human realized who I was and still left the door open for me. Now, I need to find his lab and-’
Lyra did not make it very far before she was picked up by the scruff of her neck again.
"I did not expect you to open the door somehow. How did you get it to open? Anyway, it is not safe out here for you, so back you go. Make sure you don’t come out again."
And just like that, Lyra was back in the room. Except this time, the door was locked securely with a spell as well. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
’Darn it, human! I will not forgive this humiliation.’
She cursed Kael before dragging her tired body toward the bed. She got comfortable on it, but her mind continued to curse Kael.
’I will have my revenge against you, as well as everyone else who dared to kill me. But this smell...is really...comforting...so maybe...I won’t...kill you...yet...’
The Demon Queen yawned before she fell asleep.
__________
"Ugh, so she can still use some of her magic? This was good to know. I will have to modify her collar to make sure she does not harm anyone."
Kael sighed as he looked at the door in front of him with a tired expression.
The Demon Queen was turning out to be quite a handful for him to handle at the moment. But thankfully, she did not seem to have too much power.
Kael returned to his room and decided to finally wash away the tiredness of the day with a deep sleep.
The next morning came far too quickly, and it was time to start working once more.
The first thing he did was open the door to allow Lyra out and also modify her collar. She would no longer be able to use her powers to hurt others, and he would also always be able to track her location through her collar.
Once he took care of that, it was time for him to start preparing breakfast. He decided to go with something simple after the lavish meal from yesterday.
The others started to come down one by one, and no one brought up what had happened yesterday.
"I will take Leon and Seraphina out for physical training. I know Seraphina does not need it, but it would be better for her body to be as prepared as her powers."
Iris declared after breakfast, and Kael noticed Seraphina’s look of desperation. She wanted Kael to help her get out of practice.
But even Kael thought it was good to have physical fitness after almost dying to anti-magic.
"That’s a good idea. I need to head out for supplies, so I will leave this to you."
Kael told her, and Iris nodded.
Seraphina looked defeated, asking for help one last time. But Kael pretended he did not see her once more.
[You have lost trust with target Seraphina.]
[Trust -1]
’Hey, isn’t that rather petty of her? I only want her to work hard because it is good for her future. No, let’s not worry about it at the moment. I will have more chances to gain Seraphina’s trust in the future. But to do that, I do need her to be alive first.’
