"Don't worry about why. Just do as I say and push." Mr. Aiken didn't reveal that Ivan Horne liked Lia Aiken; he knew Celine Taylor disliked Lia, and it was his attitude that made Celine and the children treat Lia poorly.

Celine saw her husband's anger and said, "It must be because of Mr. Horne. Did that wretched girl catch his eye, and that's why you want me to reject the Aibileen Family alliance? You planned to take Violet over, but then claimed it was to take Lia to apologize. Now, everything's fallen into Lia's hands, and our daughter has nothing."

Lia might not even be her husband's biological daughter. If Lia truly became Ivan Horne's woman, Celine would go mad with jealousy.

"Violet is still young."

Mr. Aiken felt even worse hearing his wife's words.

He has always concealed this secret, deceiving others but could never deceive himself.

Lia wasn't his biological daughter; according to the DNA test back then, Lia was actually his niece!

Mr. Aiken was even more aware than Celine of the prestige of the Horne Family.

Now that Ivan Horne had fallen for Lia at first sight, it was only natural Mr. Aiken felt uneasy. If given the choice, he would gladly let his own daughter marry Ivan, but the matter was out of his hands, and he dared not offend Ivan Horne.

Moreover, he couldn't let Ivan know that Lia wasn't his biological daughter.

The Aiken Family was waiting on Valence for an urgent collaboration.

"From now on, you must tell Violet to get along well with Lia; there will be benefits for her in the future." Mr. Aiken couldn't change this reality, but he could still strive for happiness for his youngest daughter.

This generation of young masters in the Horne Family includes several individuals. If Violet and Lia reconcile, Violet would have many opportunities to interact with the young masters while visiting her sister. Maybe, just like the Bluen sisters decades ago, they could both marry young Horne masters.

Celine immediately said, "You know Violet's personality; she has always found joy in bullying Lia. Asking her to get along with Lia is more difficult than reaching the heavens."

Mr. Aiken cast a glare at his wife, "It's all due to your poor parenting."

"It's my poor parenting, yet you indulged her? Now that our daughter is not behaving well, you're blaming me." π‘“π˜³π˜¦π‘’π‘€π‘’π˜£π˜―β„΄π˜·π˜¦π“.π‘π‘œπ‘š

Mr. Aiken was rendered speechless.

How his wife and the two children bullied Lia, he knew very well and never intervened, as he treated Lia even harsher. Seeing Lia reminded him of the woman who betrayed him and how he once cherished Lia as a treasure, only to find out she was proof of his ex-wife's betrayal.

His beloved woman and his own brother united to betray him; how could he not feel hatred? Faced with Lia, how could he remain calm?

Over the years, he hadn't destroyed Lia because she carried Aiken blood and was beautiful and useful.

When the opportunity to utilize her truly arrived, Mr. Aiken regretted deeply, as Ivan was too outstanding. He helped Lia find the best man, which disgusted him as if he had swallowed flies.

After a pause, Mr. Aiken hardened his stance again, "Just do as I say. Violet is our biological daughter; I wouldn't harm her. Also, tomorrow, tidy up Lia's room, move Violet's things out, and return it to Lia. I'll have her come back to live."

To avoid Ivan Horne learning that Lia wasn't his biological daughter, Lia must return to live at the Aiken Mansion.

"Also, stop letting people disrupt Lia's gallery. Mr. Horne really likes her paintings." After giving instructions, Mr. Aiken stood up and walked away.

Celine was furious beyond expression.

After all the family's efforts to drive Lia out of the Aiken Mansion, and push her to live almost like a beggar in River City, now everything was undone because of Ivan Horne.

All her husband's fault.

Celine glared resentfully at Mr. Aiken's retreating back and cursed softly when he couldn't hear, "He must be unable to forget his ex-wife, hence favoring that wretched girl Lia."

She was livid.

Ivan Horne should belong to her precious daughter.

Yes, her daughter was young, but she was eighteen and an adult.

Even if Ivan was many years older, as long as she could marry him, what did age matter? It was much better than letting Lia gain the upper hand.

Celine bitterly resolved in her heart, she would not let Lia happily marry into the Horne Family. Ivan should be her son-in-law!

There was noise outside.

Violet returned.

Celine immediately stood up and walked out.

Upon reaching the staircase, she saw her daughter stepping onto the stairs, carrying a designer bag. Violet was beautiful; an eighteen-year-old was like a blossoming flower. She knew how to dress; if she restrained her arrogance, she would be captivating.

"Mom, still not asleep at this hour?" Seeing her mother at the stairway, Violet asked with a smile, quickening her pace and warmly holding her mother's arm.

She attended a classmate's birthday banquet, hence returned late.

Anyway, tomorrow was the weekend, no school.

"Had a fun evening?" Celine asked lovingly, "You didn't drink, did you?"

"Can you smell wine? I drove myself, so of course not, though my classmates chided me for purposely driving so I could avoid drinking. But, we had a lively evening; the party was quite grand and bustling."

Violet murmured quietly, linking her arm with her mom, heading toward her room, lowering her voice, she asked, "Has Dad gone to bed?"

"Not yet. Come to your room; mother has something to tell you." Celine whispered.

Violet blinked, realizing her mother's words were significant; she nodded.

A few minutes later.

"What, is Dad out of his mind, wanting me to get along with Lia? Every time I see Lia I want to torment her, even kill her; how could I coexist peacefully?" Although she never succeeded in troubling Lia, she still loved causing her trouble.

Now she had grown cunning, using words to provoke Lia instead of physical conflict, except at home, where she would wait strategically for Lia to retaliate with their father witnessing, ensuring Lia suffered.

Unfortunately, Lia no longer lived at home.

It's been some time since witnessing Dad beat Lia; she really missed it.

"And move my things to give Lia the room back? Why? That was my territory." Violet was pampered, surrounded by her parents, unlike Lia, who lacked a mother and was unloved by her father, developing a domineering nature.

Celine bitterly said, "That's what your father said. Those are secondary concerns. Didn't Dad and Lia go to T City to meet Mr. Horne? Mr. Horne probably took a liking to that girl. You know your father wants to collaborate with Valence. Violet, Ivan is an exceptionally remarkable man; he should belong to you because your father planned to bring you along."
