Chapter 1707: Terror

So many changes had occurred since Kent last used the Underworld Soul River.

The first was his rise from a mortal to an immortal. This ascension had significantly boosted his strength, but it had also elevated his soul from a mortal one to an Immortal one, making him even more dangerous.

But while that ascension made his soul stronger, the Underworld Soul River had also become more powerful and, by extension, more horrifying.

He unlocked some of its abilities, and with the awakening of his Evil Qi, it had become something even more terrifying.

Inside his soul sea, even Lady Kenzie dared not come close to the colossal door that seemed to hold so much evil behind its giant gates.

The most chilling part was that when Kent awakened his Bone Lich Undead Emperor, the Underworld Soul River had started leaking a potent death qi, one that had covered a 200-kilometre radius of the door.

Today, as the giant gates appeared, the 13 elders found themselves within the range of that death qi. Aside from that, the natural soul suppression and evil qi surrounding it had taken hold of all 13 of them.

BOOOM

They fell from the sky and slammed into the ground, their bodies trembling in sheer terror. However, Kent ignored them, waved his hand, and shouted,

"Open."

CRACK

The gates moved, and as if giants were pushing them, they slowly parted, revealing a crimson river. The previous dark river seemed to have transformed after so many changes had happened to Kent’s soul.

This time, the river was crimson, and the most chilling part was that, the moment it was revealed, humming sounds began to come from beyond the gates.

To ordinary ears, or those not included within Kent’s attack range, the humming surprisingly sounded melodious.

However, to the 13 elders, the humming was like knives stabbing their souls.

"AAARRRGGHHHH..."

Their screams filled the space as they started rolling across the floor, some clawing at their faces.

It was as if someone or something had taken control of their bodies, making them do things they would not do naturally.

However, as blood started pouring from their scratched faces, noses, ears, and more, it became clear that they were experiencing something extremely evil.

"AARRGGHH... P-please... make it... arrgghhh... make it stop, please," Sect Master Kaidrenn pleaded, his face covered in scratch marks.

He had clawed his own face to the point that flesh could be seen sticking to his nails.

"You want me to stop, but you still aren’t apologising to my brother and me," Kent said with a smirk.

To the untrained and ordinary eye, what was happening seemed ordinary, but those who could see deeply saw millions of liches crawling across the bodies of the 13 elders, causing them to scratch themselves.

To them, they were being eaten alive by liches. However, all of this was merely a terrifying illusion ability that came from the Underworld Soul River.

If Kent wanted to, he could keep the Underworld Soul River active for a few more minutes. However, his soul soon began to feel the toll.

So, after a few more seconds, he deactivated the gates, freeing the 13 elders. Some collapsed, while others continued to scratch their bodies and roll on the ground like madmen.

Kent shook his head and laughed. "All high and mighty, but after a mere display of just one skill, none of you could stand. How pitiful."

He walked toward Sect Master Kaidrenn and muttered coldly, "I am letting you live today not because you deserve it, but because you have done nothing personally to my brother. You should be grateful for that.

The next time you dare point your weapons at him, or anyone present here, I will lay waste to your precious sect, and there is nothing you or anyone else can do to stop me. Trust me, when it comes to destroying things, I excel at the."

Kent smirked and walked back. "Now, get the hell out of my sight."

He waved his hand, and the bodies of the 13 elders were hurled upward. Before anyone could wonder what had happened, they entered the portal they had come through, and it closed behind them.

Back at the Grand Arcane Mage Sect, all 13 elders fell out of the formation, some snapping awake due to the impact, while others remained unconscious.

Every disciple in the sect became quiet, some rushing to the side of the elders who had just been released through the portal.

They never expected the same energetic elders who had left with revenge in their eyes to return broken and, judging by the looks on their faces, terrified.

"Take them inside," some of the core disciples instructed, and the disciples carried the elders away while the healer mages began treating them.

Thousands of disciples scrambled to ensure no threats came near the injured elders.

A few minutes after the elders returned, five white-bearded men appeared and, with a wave of their mage staffs, created a dome around the sect.

Even without personally seeing the sect master and the elders, they could sense the lingering evil intent surrounding them. This told them they had offended someone they should never have provoked.

So, with their combined strength, they formed a 24-layer formation around the sect. Even with Kent’s strength, breaking a Tier 24 formation would be extremely difficult.

In fact, he would not even try. A Tier 24 formation at full strength could kill even God Kings, so he would not take that risk.

Unbeknownst to them, Kent had no intention of pursuing the Elders or causing trouble for the Sect master Kaidrenn

Before arriving on Planet Dormaa, he was already aware that it was one of the 13 planets under the protection of the Grand Arcane Mage Sect.

This meant destroying the sect was akin to putting countless innocent people in danger. So he had no intention of destroying them. But scaring them was something he did intend to do, and now it seemed he had done it.

Kent turned and looked at Lady Abba as he descended from the sky.

"Thank you for providing my brother with a stable job and trying to defend him when he found himself in danger. As a reward, I will rebuild your restaurant and make it even better than before.

I will also ensure that nobody dares to trouble you again. Lastly, I will help you expand your reach to other planets and galaxies and, perhaps one day, even the God Realm."

Kent snapped his fingers, and Gaia appeared beside him.

"This is Gaia. She is good at building things. She and her friends will work together to rebuild your restaurant. For now, just relax and let them work."

As he said that, Akira, Dori, Li Hua, Yuna, and the rest of the Loli Gang arrived, their small bodies and cute appearances causing many people to wish they could play with them.

Kent had no idea how Gaia, Akira, and Dori had managed it, but it seemed that all the lolis who had joined their unofficial Loli legion had now become builders.

They no longer merely escorted the three Cosmic Lolis.

They now actively participated in construction and engineering projects.

Kent planned to find out what Gaia had done to them, but for now, he wanted them to focus on rebuilding the Everyday Inn Restaurant into one of the grandest restaurants on Planet Dormaa.

And just as he had done for Veth and Lady Wu, he would make sure that when it came to the restaurant business, Lady Abba would become uncontested.
