Peaceful Farm Life
Chapter 2195 - 2196: Loving Yet Letting Go (3)
Now, he spoke frankly, saying he hated her. Although her heart felt very uncomfortable, she also felt relieved.
At least now she won’t always be unable to control her extravagant hopes of being with him someday.
Not bad.
She can accept it.
Let’s not contact each other anymore. Even though she really, really likes him now.
Falling onto the bed, hugging a white teddy bear taller than her, finally, An Baobei couldn’t hold back, her eyes turned slightly red.
That night, Ning Zihan didn’t sleep.
That night, An Baobei didn’t sleep either.
However, Ning Zihan went to work as usual the next day; whereas An Baobei only started to nod off at dawn and fell asleep.
An Jing waited until 10 a.m. without seeing An Baobei get up, so she went to knock on An Baobei’s door. When An Baobei opened the door with sleepy eyes, An Jing noticed that An Baobei’s eyes were red and swollen.
"Baobei, what’s wrong? Your eyes are swollen, did you cry?" An Jing asked worriedly.
An Baobei initially didn’t react, but once she understood, she immediately hugged her mom An Jing and whimpered.
Afraid that Su Haoyu downstairs would hear and worry, An Jing went into An Baobei’s room, and after closing An Baobei’s door, she asked with concern, "Don’t cry, whatever it is, tell mom. Mom’s here."
Yesterday was a good day for An Jing and Su Changyi to get their marriage certificate, so no matter how sad she was last night, An Baobei didn’t go to An Jing and Su Changyi. But now, since An Jing asked, An Baobei told her.
After listening, An Jing quickly comforted her, "He doesn’t hate all women, it’s not just you. Don’t be sad, mom knows you like him, but he doesn’t like you, and you can’t force it."
"I didn’t want to force it, I’m just heartbroken." After a pause, "Mom, just let me cry for a bit. I’ll feel better after crying."
An Jing finally stopped talking, letting An Baobei hold her and cry.
Once An Baobei finished crying, she sniffled, smiled at An Jing, and said, "Mom, I’m okay now."
"You..." An Jing wiped the tear stains from her face, feeling sorry for her daughter, "Fine, I won’t say more. As long as you’re okay."
When Ning Zihan constantly expressed that her daughter shouldn’t like him, she knew this would be the outcome.
The fact that it dragged on until the end of September before ending completely was a bit surprising to her.
After chatting with An Jing for a bit more, An Baobei went to wash her face and brush her teeth. Once she changed into her going-out clothes, she went downstairs with An Jing to eat a very late breakfast.
Su Haoyu was sitting in the living room reading the newspaper. Seeing An Baobei’s red eyes, he immediately asked worriedly, "Baobei, who bullied you? Your eyes are so swollen from crying."
An Baobei laughed brightly, "No one bullied me, I just watched a movie last night when I got home. The movie was so tragic, it made me cry a lot."
Su Haoyu then laughed, "Then you should watch more comedies in the future, so you won’t cry. You must be hungry, go eat, you’re still young, you can’t afford to mess around and get stomach problems."
An Baobei nodded and went to the dining room for breakfast.
An Jing didn’t follow her to the dining room but instead spoke softly to her husband, who was drinking coffee, about what happened with An Baobei and Ning Zihan.
Su Changyi, after listening, was also very worried about An Baobei. He glanced towards the dining room, and through the glass wall, seeing that An Baobei seemed normal, he wasn’t too worried but was still left with heartache.
Heartache for his daughter.
This daughter, she was spoiled by him and his wife since childhood, never having suffered much or been wronged. Now facing such an unsatisfactory situation with her feelings, she must be very heartbroken.
