Chapter 23: 23: Still a Villainess

While they made their way through the woods, Ayra searched her brain for something to do as she walked from behind him.

Soon, she came up with a classic trope always used for the female lead to build some connection and sparks with the male lead. And so she decided to try it out.

"Ah!" Ayra suddenly let out a sharp cry as she sat down on the floor as though she had just hit her legs on something.

Ash paused and stared at her on the floor, watching as she massaged her bare feet as though she was in great pain. "Ouch.. it hurts.. I think my feet might just fall off."

Ash stared at her, arms folded as he raised an eyebrow. "What now?"

She stared up at him. "Can’t you see? I hit my feet and I’m in immense pain. This weak body of an F-rank female certainly can’t handle this much pain," she said, groaning in agony.

Ash slowly nodded as he approached her. He leaned closer to stare at her feet. "A weak F-rank who can’t handle that but somehow was able to handle 3 S-rank males in berserk stage?" He smiled. "I wonder how you were able to handle my pole so well that you even got pregnant."

Ayra stared up at him, speechless. Shameless, she thought as she forced a smile. "That’s a different case. Your pole wasn’t much of an issue. It wasn’t too big after all." She was lying—it was massive against her hole.

But reading his expression, she could see that he was triggered. "Not big? You’re joking right? Or are you blind? How can you say that it’s not big?"

He scoffed. "Maybe I should show you and do it all over again, then you’ll see better—" he was about pulling onto his loincloth while Ayra stopped him.

"Hey," she blinked. "Can you just carry me like any normal male lead would do when they see a female on the floor?"

He blinked at her. And then said, "Is that a snake behind you?"

"Ah!" Ayra screamed as she jumped to her feet and turned. "Where is it?"

Ash smiled. "Your legs seem pretty okay to me.. let’s go," he said as he turned, walking off.

Ayra scoffed as she watched him leave. "You... I can’t believe.." she ran a hand through her hair, pissed off. "I guess I forgot I was the villainess after all," she rolled her eyes.

[Ding!]

[Mate stat]

[Ash’s affection level increased to 1%]

[Keep it up Host!]

Ayra blinked. "Huh? How’s that... possible... Why did his affection level increase? So unpredictable," she shook her head as she ran after him.

They arrived at the large wooden house. While approaching, Ayra could already smell a whole lot of meals oozing out from there. The smell of meat was the strongest. She guessed that was the beastmen’s favorite meal or something.

While they arrived, Ayra saw them cutting the meat of the bull they had slaughtered a while ago. A good number of strong male beasts surrounded it, cutting it piece by piece.

"Want some meat?" Ash asked, following her gaze.

"I guess," she said, staring at him.

"Follow me then." He led the way as they made their way into the wooden house. It was a large kitchen. One with meats packed raw at every inch. The smell was strong enough to knock down a vegetarian.

And the smell wasn’t pleasant at all. Ayra covered her nose as she stared around. Meat, meat and some more meat. With some fish, leaves, fruits.. mosquitos...? This kitchen was anything but hygienic. The view was rather chaotic.

There was a line of male cooks running from one place to another preparing meals while they arrived. The chief cook, a rabbit male beast, had approached them immediately.

"Lord Ash! I didn’t know you’d be coming today. Is there anything you want?" He asked.

"Well, I’m here to feed the female with me," Ash smiled, pointing at Ayra.

Everyone paused cooking and turned to her. The tribe lord feeding the F-rank female who had constantly snatched their food a couple of times before? They were shocked and in disapproval.

"Huh?" The rabbit blinked, staring at Ayra from head to toe.

"She’s hungry. So get the best meat available and serve her right now," Ash demanded, both hands behind his back.

Ayra smiled back at the rabbit who didn’t seem happy to see her at all.

"Okay, we’ll get her something..." He couldn’t turn down the orders, so the rabbit left to get something for Ayra.

Ash smiled at her as he said, "I’m in charge of feeding and entertainment around here, so feel free to enjoy as much as you want," he winked at her.

Ayra wondered why the fox was actually feeding her. It didn’t make sense to her.

But Ash’s task was simple. The original host was a foodie, a glutton. Feeding her to her satisfaction was almost like getting her drunk. She would speak all her secrets out from the joy of the food at hand. And that was Ash’s plan.

Soon, the rabbit arrived with the plate of meat in his hands. "This is our best at the moment. Our exclusive lion meat gotten last month!"

Ayra almost choked on her saliva. "Last what...?"

Ash and the rabbit stared at her.

"Last month," the rabbit repeated, his expression gone cold. "Any problem?"

"Ah, no. Not at all," Ayra forced a smile while she shook her head.

The rabbit cleared his throat as he continued. "It’s one of our most luxurious creations ever. I’m sure the lord will be pleased with it."

Ayra stared down at their best creation. Meat covered in flies and some stains of blood. It already looked like it was about decaying, and the scent it produced was not helping matters at all. Ayra was holding her expression hard not to show how she wanted to run off and dig her nose into a hole or something. That would be rude, wouldn’t it?

Ash smiled as he stared at her. "I remember you enjoy meat. So enjoy, it’s all yours."

But Ayra smiled as she shook her head, saying, "I’m sorry, but I can’t have this..."

She said as the smiles of the two men’s faces faded. Ash was confused and the rabbit was simply furious.
