"As expected of you, my mischievous child. Behind that playful exterior of yours is a sharp mind. I never did hide that fact because I know that you will eventually know it. The world is no longer as safe as before as gods now roam it. I am trying my best to make sure that mortals will not be affected too much by the descended gods but that is not always the case." The Avatar of the World Tree stated.

"Are you saying that you are siding with the mortals?" Adrian asked as this is a great shift since the World Tree is supposed to be neutral.

"I am in the side of life and death for those that belong to the natural cycle. Gods and divine beings are outside of that cycle where even a being such as myself is a part of. They may be an anomaly in that case but the divine beings should never interfere with mortal lives as if they are cheap. I think you know what I mean when I say this, my child." The Avatar of the World Tree stated as she looked incredibly serious.

What the world tree says is correct as beings such as divine beings do not have a lifespan that is defined. Even demigods have lifespans that are definite and they will naturally perish unless they rise up to become gods themselves. Some demigods do become gods upon their death when they die in glory but that is a very rare occurrence.

There is a saying that only one in a thousand demigods can become a god. Given than demigods are already few in number means that might be true. Demigods often succumb to the natural order of life and death but gods do not. They are beings that no longer abide by the rules of life and death hence Adrian can easily fight them even if he used his authority over death.

"This will naturally make a shift in power. If you are going to vocally advocate for the safety of mortals, some of the gods will definitely view you as no longer a neutral entity. The threats to your life will be more than before." Adrian stated.

"I have already been neutral for a long time, my child. In two lifetimes, I was still attacked despite being neutral. This new life of mine should be used to those that sacrificed for my revival. I will no longer stand idly by as the disrespectful divine beings torment the mortals that cared for this world.

I have already tapped into the World Vein and have been granted access for the salvation of mortals and the view of the entire world. I might not be able to save all of them but I will be able to save some of them if they are being tormented by divine beings. It will take time for my roots to envelope the world.

I am sure you know that my decision to choose a side will not go well with the originator that is the Tree of Life and Death but even it is not entirely neutral. The Tree of Life and Death did not take root in the world but in your special territory which is why it is still considered neutral. Still, the Tree of Life and Death gave both of you a blessing that should not be easily given." The Avatar of the World Tree stated which made Adrian tremble in disbelief because it seems that the world and the world tree are now working together.

What the Avatar of the World Tree is hinting at is that the blessing that the Tree of Life and Death should never be given to other beings. It is an entity that predates the world itself and should always exist outside of its influence. The fact that it gave blessings to the Envoy of the Twin Gods and the Champion of the Twin Gods means that it is also picking a side by tilting the scales in favor of the Twin Gods.

"I never meant any offense from my question. I am merely asking if you are ready for the consequences that this will entail." Adrian stated with a smile.

"I can see that mischievous smile on your face as it seems my answer is of your liking. It seems that even you think that the divine beings have overextended their duties." The Avatar of the World Tree.

"I am not supposed to say anything because it is a secret but there is a supposed list of gods that are to be hunted down as per the karma that they built up from killing or doing cruel things to mortals. The list only includes divine beings that are known by the Gods of Life and Death but do know that the Reaping will most likely happen once the karmic cycle has been filled." Adrian stated as he hinted that there will be a time for those despicable gods that toy with life to come to an end.

"I see. Then I shall await such a time and even give my aide if needed. Does that mean that you shall accept my request?" The Avatar of the World Tree asked.

"If it is just a Barrier of Isolation then I can create it myself but it will take at least three days due to the fact that Alfheim is incredibly big. I will also need access to your memories of this land since that will be the basis on the area covered by it. Do you agree to this contract?" Adrian asked.

"If that is the thing that you need to make it then I shall give my full support." The Avatar of the World Tree stated.

[You and the World Tree have agreed to the contract details.]

[You will now have all the memory related to the land of the current Alfheim.]

"Bulk data is being processed as it might overload the brain of the master. Processing necessary data for the Barrier of Isolation." Paradox’ voice stated in Adrian’s mind as the latter cannot process all that memory by himself.

"I have stored all of the memory data that is needed and it is currently being processed." Adrian stated.

"Oh! Already?! I did not think that you were able to handle that vast amount in such a quick span of time. It seems that my evaluation of you has increased once again. I guess an old soul such as yourself is a blessing because you are the First after all." The Avatar of the World Tree commented which made Adrian look at her for a moment since she did not make any sense for him.

"I want to ask what that means but most of it was dispersed in my ear so it might be information blocked by a higher power or providence itself. Anyways, please reveal the core as I will need to start with that first." Adrian stated.

"As you wish." The Avatar of the World Tree stated as the floor suddenly opened up as vines and the tree itself twisted apart.

A large pulsing golden green heart made from the purest life energy. The Heart of the World Tree looked like an emerald-colored peach resting on a golden lotus flower. It is such a breathtaking sight to behold that even Adrian who is not a savant in art could tell that it is the most eye-catching thing he has ever seen. The heart beats and pulses as it gives life energy to the entire land it is on.

The World Tree showing Adrian its heart meant that it trusts him completely because the destruction of its heart will mean true death for it. The Heart of the World Tree will often be the World Tree Seed that drops if a world tree is killed. If the world tree is destroyed but its heart is not destroyed then the latter will be converted into a seed that will be impenetrable even to High Gods.

"I shall not betray your trust." Adrian stated to which the Avatar of the World Tree just smiled and nodded.

As soon as Adrian spoke his last sentence, the atmosphere around him suddenly turned solemn and serious. The Avatar of the World Tree then saw him shift into a form that can utilize his spell fully. A form that no one has yet to see him turn into because he has yet to use it in battle. A form that even the World Tree fears because it is a power that could burn her to dust if used against her.

"I did not bet wrong and it seems that the Twin Gods and Yewdrassil did not as well." The Avatar of the World Tree stated as she looked at Adrian with eyes filled with fear and reverence. For the world tree, there is no other being that is equipped to deal with divine beings than the one before her.
