Chapter 605: Chapter 605: Seduction?

"If you were with me," he replied, his tone teasing yet sincere, "I wouldn’t have needed to struggle so much out there."

Then his gaze lingered on her. "You’ve lost weight again."

Ivy immediately frowned.

"That’s a lie," she retorted, crossing her arms slightly. "I’ve actually gained weight."

She paused, then added with a hint of pride, "A full hundred grams."

Silas blinked. Then frowned in return.

"Then I’m cooking tonight," he declared.

Ivy didn’t stop him.

Instead, she smiled faintly. "Our hero should eat first."

With a casual wave of her hand... food appeared on the table.

Silas looked at it... then at her... and sighed dramatically.

"I was planning to show off," he muttered.

Then he grinned. "My wife is too capable."

Without wasting another moment, he sat down and began eating.

Ivy watched him quietly. Carefully.

Though his weight hadn’t changed much, something else had.

His aura. It felt stronger. Sharper. More refined. Curiosity flickered in her eyes.

"How are you now?" she asked.

Silas swallowed his food before answering. "Good."

Ivy narrowed her eyes slightly. ’He’s teasing me...’

She leaned forward a little.

"What did you gain?" she pressed. "Did your energy increase? Did something change?"

Silas chuckled, clearly amused. "Alright," he said. "I did gain a lot."

He set his utensils down briefly.

"When I stayed in that cave, I thought only my energy was increasing," he began. "But I didn’t understand what exactly was improving. Was it my healing? My thunder ability?"

He shook his head slightly. "Turns out... it was something else entirely."

His eyes darkened slightly with memory.

"My strength started increasing. At first, I didn’t even realize it."

He paused. "Then one day... an accident happened with Henry."

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"He was carrying something, food, and walking toward me. But he slipped."

Silas gestured lightly with his hand.

"The moment it happened, I instinctively moved."

His gaze sharpened. "And before the food even hit the ground... I caught it midair."

Ivy’s eyes widened slightly.

"I didn’t even think," he continued. "My body just... reacted."

He exhaled slowly.

"That’s when I realized I’ve awakened more than one ability."

He leaned back slightly. "Super strength. Super speed. My hearing has sharpened. My vision too."

A faint chuckle escaped him.

"At one point, I even started wondering if I’d unlocked a whole set of powers."

Ivy stared at him, genuine curiosity flickering in her gaze.

’This... is too much... Is he becoming... invincible...?’

As if reading her thoughts, Silas shook his head.

"Not exactly," he said. "From what I understand... these abilities aren’t unique."

He met her eyes.

"They’re basic traits. Traits that superior beings naturally possess."

Ivy froze for a moment. "If that’s true..." she murmured.

Then...her expression turned serious. "Then those beings... are terrifying."

Silas nodded slowly. "They are."

He looked at her intently. "And that’s not all. There’s something else I learned... back in the cave."

His voice lowered slightly.

"There’s a method... to awaken these powers."

Hearing those words, Ivy blinked once, then raised her hand and gave him a slow thumbs-up, her expression oddly blank.

"I still don’t get your point," she admitted, her tone calm but laced with curiosity.

Silas chuckled softly, the sound low and teasing, as if he had been waiting for that exact reaction.

"What I mean," he said, leaning slightly closer, "is that I know how to awaken these powers."

He paused deliberately, watching her reaction. "And that means... I can help you awaken them too."

For a moment...silence. Then Ivy’s eyes widened.

"This..." she murmured, almost to herself, "this is actually possible?"

Silas nodded, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"Of course it is."

Ivy stared at him for a second longer, then suddenly lifted her hand again, giving him another thumbs-up, this time with a faint spark of excitement in her eyes.

"Then teach me," she said without hesitation.

Silas chuckled again, clearly amused. "I can," he replied, "but ..."

He tilted his head slightly, his expression turning just a bit more serious.

"There has to be some kind of payment."

Ivy raised a brow, then let out a soft laugh. "Payment?" she echoed lightly. "Fine. I’ll pay you tonight."

Silas immediately shook his head, his face turning unexpectedly stern.

"No," he said firmly.

Ivy blinked, caught off guard. "What do you mean, no?"

He crossed his arms slightly, his tone carrying a hint of mock seriousness.

"The person making that kind of promise," he said, "is a repeat offender."

Ivy’s eyes widened in disbelief. "Excuse me?!"

Silas continued as if he hadn’t heard her.

"She often forgets to pay," he added calmly. "So this time... payment must be made in advance."

Ivy stared at him, utterly stunned.

"You’re lying!" she shot back immediately.

Silas laughed under his breath, shaking his head.

"What can I do?" he said lightly. "I just can’t trust my own wife’s words anymore."

That did it.

Ivy’s face flushed slightly, a mix of embarrassment and irritation flickering across her expression.

"I can literally teleport you out of here right now!" she snapped, her voice rising just a little.

Silas didn’t look threatened in the slightest.

Instead...he smirked.

And in the very next second, he grabbed the hem of his shirt and pulled it off in one smooth motion.

"I mean," he said casually, his tone turning deliberately provocative, "you can teleport me out..."

He gestured toward himself, his fingers brushing lightly across his well-defined abs.

"But then everyone outside will get a full view of this."

The room fell into a strange silence.

Ivy’s gaze flickered, just for a fraction of a second. Then she looked away.

But not before the faintest glimmer of amusement sparkled in her eyes.

"If you think I’ll fall for something that simple," she said, her voice regaining its usual composure, "then you’re clearly underestimating me."

Silas chuckled, clearly entertained.

"I never thought you were weak," he replied smoothly. "In fact ..."

He stepped closer. "I think your will is far too strong."

His voice softened slightly.

"Otherwise... you would’ve already been completely captivated by me."
