Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower-Chapter 560: Torture
All the torture she had endured under Damien’s hands in her previous life.
Among all the people who had tormented her, Damien had been the second worst.
The worst of all had been Isla.
Damien had often forced her to do humiliating and painful tasks.
Sometimes he made her stand outside in freezing cold water while boiling and cleaning his filthy underwear.
Other times he deliberately brought piles of dirty clothes and ordered her to wash them like a servant.
The smell alone had been unbearable.
Ivy had once refused in anger. But Damien had responded by slapping her repeatedly until she obeyed.
He had even brought several of his friends along that day.
Damien had leaned against the wall with that cruel smile of his and spoken in a slow, threatening tone.
"If you dare refuse to wash them," he had warned, "then I’ll simply let my friends here have their way with you."
The moment Ivy heard those words back then, genuine fear had flooded her heart. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Her fingers had trembled, her throat tightening as if invisible hands were choking her. In the end, she had no choice.
She washed them. All of those disgusting underwears.
Later, she discovered the truth.
Those underwear did not even belong to Damien alone. They belonged to the men who had been lusting after her body, men who watched her with filthy eyes whenever she passed by.
The realization had made Ivy’s stomach twist violently. She had almost vomited from disgust.
During the apocalypse, that devilish nature had only grown worse.
There were days when he deliberately starved her. Her stomach would burn with hunger for hours while he ate lavish meals right in front of her face.
There were also times when he personally enjoyed whipping her.
Once, he even framed Ivy together with Isla.
They had accused her of crimes she had never committed, and without hesitation they had pressed burning metal against her skin.
The scorching heat had seared through her flesh while the smell of burnt skin filled the air.
The memory still lingered vividly in her mind.
Taking a slow breath, Ivy looked at Damien now.
He was shouting helplessly, his voice cracking like a frightened child.
For a moment, she suddenly remembered her younger self.
She remembered standing in front of a cracked mirror years ago, her body bruised and swollen, her lips trembling as she stared at her own reflection.
Her face had been covered in cuts and purple marks. Back then she had whispered to herself with teary eyes.
’What did I do... to deserve this?’
Now, looking at Damien trembling in front of her, Ivy chuckled softly.
Without warning... SMACK!
Her palm struck his face. Then again.
SMACK!
And again.
The slaps landed one after another. Damien felt as if his world was spinning.
The burning pain on his scalp where she had grabbed his hair mixed with the fiery sting spreading across his cheeks.
It finally dawned on him that the person standing before him was not the same Ivy he remembered from the past.
This Ivy... was different.
A chill of suspicion crept into his mind.
But before he could even voice his thoughts... BANG!
Ivy slammed his head directly onto the table.
The impact was brutal.
The next second, warm blood began pouring from the wound on his forehead, dripping down the edge of the table and onto the floor.
Damien’s mind went blank. ’How... how strong is she?’
He could barely process what had just happened.
Fear surged through his chest, and he opened his mouth to threaten her again.
But he quickly realized something. It was already too late.
Ivy had begun beating him like a punching bag.
Her fists struck him again and again without pause. The dull thuds of each punch filled the room as Damien’s body jerked helplessly under the assault.
At one moment, Ivy even looked at him with a faint hint of disappointment, as if she were annoyed that he could not even endure the punches properly.
The beating continued. Nearly an hour passed.
Damien’s emotions changed repeatedly throughout that time.
First arrogance. Then disbelief. Then fear. And finally... trembling helplessness.
By the end, he was shaking like a fragile egg about to crack.
Ivy, however, had no intention of stopping.
After evolving, her strength had grown to terrifying levels. Even after beating Damien continuously for an entire hour, she did not feel tired at all.
Instead, she simply smiled. A devilish smile.
Seeing that expression, Damien’s remaining courage shattered instantly.
Earlier, he had thought that if he at least used his height advantage, he might be able to land a punch or two on Ivy.
But reality had proven otherwise.
No matter how he tried, he could not land even a single hit.
Instead, his own arm had nearly fractured from trying to block her attacks.
Terrified, he shook his head rapidly like a frightened child. "I’m sorry! I’m sorry!"
His voice trembled desperately. "I won’t do it again! I’ll do whatever you want!"
Ivy nodded slowly. "There are a few questions I need answered."
Her voice was calm again, almost gentle.
"If you really want to prove you’re a good person now... then answer obediently."
Damien nodded repeatedly.
Seeing his reaction, Ivy chuckled lightly.
"Tell me about the superior being."
Her gaze sharpened. "What exactly did it say to you... and how did it end up taking control of your body?"
Damien swallowed nervously before answering. "It happened when I wore that ring."
His eyes flickered as he recalled the moment.
"The superior being entered my body through it. It asked me if I wanted to become a being who could rule the entire humanity."
He let out a shaky breath.
"I was tempted... so I agreed."
He continued explaining.
"The condition for gaining power was to consume meat. Raw meat. The fresher the better."
Ivy’s eyes narrowed slightly. "Oh? When I was dealing with your mother ... you had already disappeared."
Her tone turned colder. "Where did you go? Why were you constantly changing locations?"
