Your Talent is Mine-Chapter 1157: The Dissolution of the Great Divine Hall!
TL: Etude
The Great Divine Hall, hailed as the leading force of the Dao Mountain Domain Alliance, now left many Dao Ancestors feeling bewildered.
Factions like the Forbidden Palace and the Starhorn Beast Clan, had already pledged allegiance to other powers, leaving them exempt from making further choices or fearing retaliation from the Upper Three Heavens forces.
But the Great Divine Hall was different. It had yet to align with any faction.
Originally, with the Profound Void Ancient Realm not advancing, their decision to remain unaffiliated seemed logical. They enjoyed considerable freedom, unrestrained by external forces, while the various True Nations of the Profound Void Ancient Realm consistently supplied them with forbidden treasures and resources. Without interference or skimming from other forces, each Dao Ancestor within the Great Divine Hall progressed rapidly.
For instance, Dao Ancestor Void Sky, after refining some Forbidden Dao Stones and a large quantity of Forbidden Wondrous Objects, further purified his Dao Ancestor Force. His Pinnacle Saber Dao had advanced significantly, pushing his power to the pinnacle of the Fourth Heaven Dao Ancestor level, nearing the breakthrough to Fifth Heaven Dao Ancestor strength.
However, even with such progress, reaching Fifth Heaven Dao Ancestor strength still paled in comparison to the Sixth Heaven forces, let alone the dominating powers of the Upper Three Heavens.
…
On this day: 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
A grand meeting convened among the Dao Ancestors of the Great Divine Hall to discuss the future of their alliance.
Present were Dao Ancestor Void Sky; the Tower Master of the War God Tower; the Immortal Sect Master, Dao Ancestor War Axe; the chairman of the Chaos Trading Company, Dao Ancestor Gold and Silver; the leader of the Mercenary Alliance, Dao Ancestor Iron Fist, and many other notable figures. The meeting hall buzzed with heated discussions as everyone gathered.
When all the Dao Ancestors were seated, the meeting officially began.
As the strongest figure present, Dao Ancestor Void Sky spoke first, stating, “Everyone, you must already be aware of the matter regarding the Profound Void Ancient Realm advancing to the Archaic Realm. This development was completely unexpected and has rendered many of our plans and arrangements obsolete! Once the Archaic Realm emerges, the Dao Ancestors of the Profound Void Ancient Realm will no longer be restrained, and our good days will come to an end! At that time, the power structure of the Dao Mountain Domain will undoubtedly be reshuffled. Our territory will certainly be unsustainable!”
“Dao Ancestor Void Sky, there’s no need to state the obvious,” the Immortal Sect Master interjected. “We all understand the situation. What we need to discuss now is what to do next.”
“I have two suggestions,” proposed Dao Ancestor Void Sky. “The first is to maintain our current alliance structure but relinquish most of our territory to the Upper Three Heavens forces. However, this option is risky. Without the protection of a powerful backer, we’ll be vulnerable to attacks. The second suggestion is to pledge allegiance to a major force. But if we do that, our alliance will no longer exist.”
This statement sparked dissatisfaction among many Dao Ancestors.
It had been Dao Ancestor Void Sky who initially proposed forming the alliance to collectively resist the Upper Three Heavens forces. Yet now, so shortly after its creation, he was suggesting allegiance? If they had known it would come to this, they would have pledged allegiance from the start, reaping greater benefits in the process.
At this point, however, allegiance would not only be met with uncertainty but would also bring no benefits, as the major powers might not even accept them.
“Dao Ancestor Void Sky, when you first proposed forming the Great Divine Hall, we followed you and established this alliance. And now you’re suggesting we dissolve it? Your so-called two suggestions boil down to the same thing—pledging allegiance!” Dao Ancestor Gold and Silver sneered.
“Dao Ancestor Gold and Silver, what are you insinuating? I may have proposed the creation of the Great Divine Hall, but you all agreed! Now that there’s trouble, you’re trying to shift all the blame onto me?” Dao Ancestor Void Sky retorted angrily.
As Dao Ancestor Void Sky and Dao Ancestor Gold and Silver quarreled, Dao Ancestor War Axe interjected to mediate. “Everyone, calm down! Let’s not waste time arguing. How about this: let’s vote. Should we dissolve the Great Divine Hall, or should we continue maintaining it? Once it’s dissolved, how each force proceeds will be their own decision.”
“Fine, let’s vote,” Dao Ancestor Void Sky agreed with a nod.
One by one, the Dao Ancestors cast their votes.
Soon, the voting concluded.
Nearly 90% of the Dao Ancestors supported dissolving the Great Divine Hall, signaling a clear lack of confidence in its future. Many had likely already decided to pledge allegiance to other forces.
“So be it. Dissolve it,” sighed Dao Ancestor Void Sky.
Thus, the Great Divine Hall, an alliance that had not existed for long, was officially disbanded.
Shortly after, other alliance forces within the Dao Mountain Domain followed suit, dissolving one by one. The power structure of the Dao Mountain Domain collapsed entirely.
In the following century,
Many of the former forces from the Dao Mountain Domain pledged allegiance to the Upper Three Heavens forces. Having suffered significant losses in the previous battle at the Fireflame Forbidden Zone, losing numerous True Ancestors and Dao Ancestors, these dominant forces urgently sought to expand their strength and readily accepted the allegiance of the smaller factions.
Of course, they did so without offering much in return—no significant benefits were granted, and they even demanded tributes from these factions.
In the heart of the Void Sky True Nation, within the Human Race, the world continued its tumultuous evolution.
Dao Ancestor Void Sky’s incarnation descended once again, arriving at Ye Tian’s residence.
During this meeting, Dao Ancestor Void Sky realized that he could no longer fully discern his disciple’s power. It was as if Ye Tian’s strength had reached an extraordinary level.
He was aware that his disciple was no longer weaker than a Fourth Heaven Dao Ancestor, and Ye Tian’s strength was steadily approaching his own.
…
“Master!” Ye Tian greeted Dao Ancestor Void Sky with the utmost respect, hurrying to welcome him.
“Disciple, I have come to you this time because I have a matter to discuss.” Dao Ancestor Void Sky spoke with a hint of awkwardness.
“What is it?” Ye Tian asked curiously.
“The Great Divine Hall has been dissolved. I wish to lead the Void Sky Lineage to join Blackwind Mountain,” Dao Ancestor Void Sky explained. “However, I do not know any of Blackwind Mountain’s Dao Ancestors, nor can I contact them. But you, as a Heavenly General of Blackwind Mountain, hold a position second only to the Ten Kings. Therefore, I’d like to ask for your help in speaking to the leaders of Blackwind Mountain.”
“To join Blackwind Mountain?” Ye Tian frowned slightly.
This was a challenging matter. Blackwind Mountain, until now, had no subordinate forces. Each Peak Lord or General recruited their own members to expand Blackwind Mountain, either through individual efforts or by attracting talents from various inheritance grounds of Blackwind Mountain.
Thus, Ye Tian wasn’t sure if the Wind King and others would agree to accept the Void Sky Lineage. If the Wind King refused, there was nothing he could do.
“Disciple, I have no other choice. If the Archaic Realm emerges and the Dao Ancestors are no longer restricted, many Upper Three Heavens forces might eliminate me,” Dao Ancestor Void Sky said with concern.
“Master, I will speak with the Wind King about this matter,” Ye Tian promptly replied.
“Good!” Dao Ancestor Void Sky nodded.
Soon after, Ye Tian arranged for Dao Ancestor Void Sky’s incarnation to reside within the Human Race’s territory. He then personally entered the Wind King Small Domain, using his General’s Token to contact the Wind King.
“Heavenly General Nine Limits, what brings you to contact me?” The Wind King’s voice echoed around Ye Tian.
“My master, Dao Ancestor Void Sky, wishes to bring the Void Sky Lineage under Blackwind Mountain. May I ask if Blackwind Mountain would consider accepting them?” Ye Tian explained the situation.
“Blackwind Mountain does not accept subordinate forces, as they are difficult to manage,” the Wind King replied bluntly.
“Is there no other way?” Ye Tian frowned.
The Wind King remained silent for a moment before speaking again. “There is another way. Let Dao Ancestor Void Sky join Blackwind Mountain as a Heavenly King, with the members of the Void Sky Lineage placed under his command as part of his legion. In this way, they would become a formal part of Blackwind Mountain. However, the name ‘Void Sky Lineage’ would have to be discarded and replaced with ‘Void Sky Legion.’ If he agrees, I will allow him to join Blackwind Mountain. If he refuses, then we will not accept them.”
“Thank you, Wind King!”
Ye Tian knew this was the greatest concession the Wind King was willing to make. With that, he left the Wind King Small Domain.
